Growing it

Easy

Resistance

Strong

I found this seed in bud that I harvested from my Barney's Liberty Haze plant. It was grown in my grow room and you can see my GrowDiray log of that plant. I am not sure exactly how I ended up with seeds... maybe there was light or temperature stress which resulted in a herm. In any case, I decided to grow this seed as a fun experiment. I didn't even know if the seed would germinate... but it grew just FINE. I didn't top it, or give it any special treatment. I guess you could say she grew 'native' or 'au naturel.' I have never grown outside before, but I had space in the garden, and the seedling looked healthy, so I hardened her off and popped her into the dirt. She ended up going into a huge monster of a plant. Standing over 9 feet tall I had to laugh out loud each time I climbed the ladder to inspect her top cola LOL. I had so much fun growing this plant.

I called her Majestic Haze (we live on Majestic Drive) because I'm not sure if Barney's would want me calling her Liberty Haze. I can't verify the genetics for sure :) I wonder how plant breeders handle those kinds of things??...

This bud is fun for parties and conversation. It starts out with an energetic vibe and then settles into a relaxed chill stoned feeling. We vaped our dried bud, and then we tried some of our hand rolled hash... then we settled in for the night. Woke up a sit high still LOL but it's Saturday and we don't need to go anywhere so it's all good LOL... This one is the bud of choice for house parties and silly Netflix watching. PS if you haven't see The Good Place... you need to get stoned and watch it.

The total dried weight of bud from this plant was just under one pound @310g and we also ended up with around 120g of frosty trim. We also rolled up about a gram of hash which has some serious kick :)

Nutrients

A reliable product that works well every time. I've been using these nutrients since I first started growing a year ago and I have never had any reason to try any other product.

Very nicely done! My wife and I have been going back and forth on a trim bowl purchase too. This just sold me! Lol:+1::ok_hand::sunglasses::facepunch:

@TheBudWhisperer, Yup. I was hesitant but after trimming two 7 foot plants with yields of 1lb dry each... I agreed to give it a try. We found out that the trim it produces is top notch. We cook with our cannabis so it's perfect. We also put a bunch in our volcano and it worked as well as bud. I don't see a down side.

I have questions:

- does a stress induced hermaphrodite produce pollen? (i.e. external pollen sacs) Or, do the calyxes just sort of internally convert to seeds.

My outdoor plants were for sure light stressed and produced seeds. For the plant that was maybe not directly stressed, I’m wondering if its possible that one of the hermaphrodite’s pollinated it. I believe this would produce feminized seeds (if you induce hermaphroditism by spraying a female, it should only have XX, and the female also XX).

So in other words, did Laughing Buddha get pollinated by a hermie, and my seeds are feminized, or did it get stressed and merely self pollinate?

- does a seed from a stressed hermaphrodite plant produce a feminized plant? Hermie plant? Are the future genetics more vulnerable to be hermie?

Your diary suggests there is no harm. I have had mixed results, a planted hermie seed produced something (Starfish Jr.), but every successive seed or clone was mutated and funky, producing both sex parts.

@BeanswithPork, I honestly don't know, but this is something I'd like to learn more about. Yes, a stress induced herm does produce pollen... that much I don know. I don't know if the resulting seeds will certainly be female though... I think plants that herm, are genetically more likely to herm... so future generations would probably be increasingly likely to produce herms. I have heard growers complain that plants that herm easily, are poor genetics.

I dont like the picture with the child, I dont think it is good to glorify Cannabis because it has many downsides.

Anyway.. nice grow :ok_hand:
