Day 1 - Afghan Kush Auto DWC from Fastbuds
I see that of the new Originals varieties that not many Diaries on here choose this Afghan Kush Auto. It strikes me as odd that there is not many more growers of this strain.
The level of detail in this Diary will be like all my rest. If you follow along in DWC, you will grow a monster plant!
a. Soaked Rockwool cube for 1 hr in 6.0PH water
b. inserted dry seed into Rockwool cube
c. placed into tent, into humidity pod which is 80% humidity, and 22 degrees
Day 2 - resting nicely
a. the humidity pod method works very well for rockwool
b. I give the cube a few seconds of fresh air a day just to circulate, not adding any extra water to the cube
c. I decided to start this seed with 6.0 plain mineral water instead of nutrients. In my experience Afghan Kush can be a bit picky at first with strong soil/nutrients/rooting cube. I usually use a root riot cube, but for this one no.
d. in 7 days she will emerge as a small seedling.
Day 3 - she is in her forever tent
a. we will be using the same tent and light as Gorilla Cookies, and likely the same schedule for feeding.
b. my region is starting to become very cold, and our little tent is out in our barn, so the light will help keep the temperatures always in range, no ventilation right now, 24 hours light.
Day 4 - she has germinated
a. looked down into the cube and there is a huge white root growing
b. day 7 she will go in the DWC likely
Day 5 - beginning to appear

c. gave her 5ml of PH 6.0 water on the rockwool
Day 6 - she made her debut!
a. Afghan Kush is up and ready!
b. there is a nice root out of the bottom, in 2 days she will go into the DWC
Day 7 - like clockwork we have a beautiful healthy sprout
a. keeping her in the humidity pod at the moment, the temps are 21 degrees and 90% humidity, perfect for her growth
b. tomorrow I may put her in the DWC, I may not depending on the root development on the bottom of the rockwool cube
Day 8 - growing strong!
a. this seedling is looking very healthy, only using mineral water from mountains, 6.0PH, 120ppm. this is very important: choose natural water from a source that is consistent and stick with it always. you will grow monsters.
b. keeping her in the humidity pod (2 glass bowls one on top of another forming pod) for another few days, her root is long, but I would like it a bit longer before I place it into the DWC nutrient pool.
c. running the light 24 hours has provided a consistent environment for our seedling.
d. I will be using every nutrient I possess in this grow. Afghan kush likes many nutrients later on, but at first it is better to keep it very simple to not stunt her.

a. the plant looks like she is doing well!
