D43. First day of seventh week, I finally took out all the blumat water lines to be able to level the canopies to better perform the next four weeks. The whole tent is full of little colas, especially the lazy seed that have the most tiny ones due to the slow growth plus that she was quite in the bottom until today but now she's finally receiving same light as her sisters 💪. Today I watered again after three days, soil tension went from 40 to over 200 before watering that probably mean from now on will be better to stick on watering every two days instead of three. Things are getting smelly and promising, this week I'll do another insecticide foliar spray and watering and hope for the best. Peace ☮️ D46. That's a lot of wild stuff going on in here and my little girls look happier than ever, all the fans around every cola turned deep purple and full of white all around and they smell so good. I just watered 10% of the pot capacity with neem oil, calmag, higrozyme and nutrients until EC 1.9 pH 6.1 so water tension came down from over 200 to over 40mbar, also foliar sprayed again with potassic soap, neem and phyretrine since some thrip are still messing around. Good news the lazy plant despite the little colas once started receiving same light as her sisters she strengthen production and color of the leaf, not so bad!

First sign of preflowers, it's been 7 days since the flip. I'm just winging it like I do with everyday life 🤣😆 They both seem happy enough, if anything the watermelon looks like a could pull back on the nitrogen a little but we'll see. (Update... 14 days since flip) The cheese was a male, absolutely gutted. I thought I was seeing things when I saw male sac, none where open so got it in time but how can it just be a straight up male when they're supposed to be feminised seeds? Crazy bad luck or what? If anyone wants to chuck their two cents in I'll happily take the knowledge. The seed was Cheese from Barneys, I've never had this problem with them before but it knocks my confidence with them a bit. On the other hand the Watermelon Zkittlez is coming along nicely, next week's update will be updated on Monday. Peace ✌️

Been another smooth week. A few of the plants are starting to show signs that they are moving towards to finish line. Seeing some swelling, pistils starting to brown, and some beautiful purples coming out in some of the buds. Been debating on giving them a dose of dry koolbloom, but I will probably just keep them running on the maxibloom until flush since they look pretty happy. It's hard to show this girls progress since shes in the far back corner, but shes stacking some nice golf ball size buds. I'm seeing some purple on some of the buds. Cant get in there to smell her either, but I bet yall wouldnt turn down a bud off her when shes ready🤣

Day 42 - I swapped the plant side and trained them a bit. I also did one last cleaning on the lower buds spots, which it wouldn't get enough light. Day 43 - The plants were heavily defoliated, the one on the left side more than the other. I also watered them a bit more this week.

Vamos a hacer una agua con concentración de 1.35 para las grandes y de 1.2 para las que son un poco más pequeñas. Seguimos con un ph de 5.8 y se va notando ya la corrección de las carencias iniciales.

Well you can see this little girl is quickly starting to grow up now that I have given her the space and nutrients to do so. I FIMed at the 5th node and will LST in the coming days. Right now she is growing roots I will give them some rooting growth hormones to speed up the process. Aloe Vera Juice is packed with silica, micronutrients and improves overall cell strength and plant vigor plus root and growth hormones, lets see what this does to the little girl.

Medium: Look, I love coco/soil, organic/synthetic just as much as anyone. I’ve never really hated on any particular method and each has its uses depending upon the environment. That being said.... hydro is likely to be the predominant indoor method for us going forward. It ticks all the boxes that the average hobby grower is looking for. Maintenance is generally pretty easy, while I’ve found myself monitoring ph and tds more frequently, I’m still only mixing nutes once a week instead of three. The hassle factor is crazy mitigated here: 1:. From a sustainability perspective, nute consumption is wayyyy down, saving more dolla bills y’all! Added bonus is that veg. Growth rates are just insanely fast. Easily a 2 week savings in time pre-flower🤟😎😳. It is a little bit of a tricky medium but once you dial in the ratios - smooth sail’n the whole grow. I can focus on training/maintenance instead of feeding🤟🤟. If there’s a drawback to DWC it would be that I’d have concerns about leaving it for more than a couple days when she’s in full flower. They just drink so much that It’s a constant top off. All told, far and away the most effective and economical medium we’ve used😎. Method 🎚️🎚️🎚️🎚️ Under this COB light system, the best method to date has definitely been a mainline. It’s got so much canopy penetration that we’re pulling down 16” long colas packed with well developed buds. The mainline training didn’t take long in DWC - roughly 4 weeks of veg. And she was ready for the flip. We only extended it a further 2 weeks to keep pace with another grow in the same space. Otherwise, I would’ve cut the veg. Time back to 4 weeks which would’ve made the behemoth of a root ball a little more manageable. We also iceballed the res. With frozen water bottles twice a day throughout the grow. Just to keep temps down and avoid any potential issues. Whether or not there’s a better, more efficient way to get these kinds of results remains to be seen. We’re still trying to strike that balance between faster veg. Times and maximized yields. If anything, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the hermie issue at the end had something to do with the root ball binding on itself due to size. The true culprit was an unanticipated light leak but still - The ball could’ve been 2/3 the size and likely have produced similar results🤷‍♂️. I’m giving the method a slim 4 because it was a great success but too long a veg. Yield/Harvest🌴🌴🌴🌴 Regardless of the final number, we had hoped that the yield would’ve been bigger. She’s a beauty of a plant but didn’t really puff out as much as we were hoping for. At least not a mainline on a 6 week veg. At 5.125oz we’re obviously not complaining and the colours in late flower were some of the best ever seen😎👌😎👌. What she did yield was frosty, dense and surprisingly stinky AF. I see no discernible difference in the quality of the terp. Profile vs. Any of our previous organic soil grows. For those who tout this as an advantage in soil media, I say get urself a bucket and a bubbler, then we’ll talk. Hydro is just straight up awesome: 1:. 4 palm trees on the yield - any haul north of 5oz is a great addition to the cellar: 1:😎: 1:😎. Not giving them Any nutrients now until chop which should be in a few days. Seeing lots of amber on the Royal Gorilla, not so much on the Green Gelato, but still present in small amounts. 2 days until 10 weeks total flowering. Letting the plants fall and rest on the side of the tent isnt ideal, but its the only way i could have saved them from the heat. Check out my stardawg diary for what heat can really do to a plant....gonna upload another week soon and there is HUGE damage to the plant that didnt auto. 04/11 - (M) - As stated on my last update mom came back strong from losing a week with no feed because of drip emitter malfunction - Ran a hard defilation to remove dead or dying leaves - Res was cleaned out and reloaded with a fresh nute feed clean water heavy. 04/11 - (C) - The babies came back from the PPM burn as previously stated - Had some yellowing going on as well but after flush and slow dose nutrient/clean water feed their green is coming back strong. 04/18 -(C) - In not trying to stress the babies anymore then they have already have I flipped them into flower today - The Veg rebound was successful but very draining - I will prep for flushing to transition into flower feeds.
