Chucky324 Hello. This is the start of the Runtz Mintz Cream diary. Got these seeds at my local grow shop. He's a local grower that's making seeds now. I've read some good reviews on Yelp and Reddit about his strains. These are reg seeds I'm hoping to pick the best male to use for breeding in the greenhouse with another strain... Looks like it will be some older M.A.C. seeds that have popped. I'll also pollenate my best clones too. So if you want some free seeds for doing a diary on them, I can send you some. Talk to me in the fall, when they are ready. I also intent to flower these females outside and harvest them in the fall Wow... 16 out of 16 popped and grew. Love fresh seeds. I had to dig down in the last pot to find the seed growing slowly. It should come up! There was no info on the pack so I went to his site but there was none there either. Just a list of his seeds. He doesn't sell seeds on his site, it was just info about how he makes his seeds. Some good pics. The site is not working. I wonder if he forgot to pay for the his web name?? The soak water looks weird... I use water store, RO water, for starting seeds. To 2 cups of ph adjusted RO water, I add a pinch of cinnamon, it's anti-fungal. and has similar property's to cloning gel. It's a natural product and I thing it helps. I also add 4 drops of 30% Hydrogen Peroxide. It helps clean the water and adds extra oxygen to the water and helps soften the inside membrane so the seedling can slip out of it easier. Even with adding the H.P. I still had to take the shell and membrane off 5 of these seeds when they came up. It's been my experience that having to taking the shell off is the sign of high test plants. I had some older seed of Slurricane I was going to breed with the males but only 1 popped, then stopped growing. So I'm trying some older (about 4 years old) M.A.C. seeds and I'll breed with that strain. Have to wait and see. This strain Runtz Mintz Cream is about 65% to 70% indica and I hope it has some red color in there too. I'll get a new underground comic book up and going in a couple of weeks for your entertainment. I've moved them into the main grow room now and turned the Mars Hydro light on to 20% OK. Have Fun. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello. This is the first week of veg. The little seedlings are doing good. They need some water, and will get some as soon as I'm done here. They are all on heating pads that are pre-set at around 24* or 25* c ... and the heat rises. Started some older (2022) MAC seeds that are struggling because they are old and don't have much power left in them to sprout up. They will be getting their own diary next week. Looks like I might get 8 or 9 come up out of 25 started. Oh.. well... Like I said, older seeds. OK. Keep Growing Straight. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello This is the end of week 1 and the beginning of week 2 of veg. Going good in here. They have found their second set of leaves and are working on putting out their 3rd. Noticed some small white marks on the leaves... Dam it... thrips... Middle of winter... How did they find these plants. So I was looking at essential oils for getting rid of pests. Found these pages on... theindoornursery.com/blog/best-essential-oils-for-plants/ or... theindoornursery.com/blog/cannabis-pests/ Lots of info on both those pages. or... I'll include more pages next week to help "you" with the "fight" against the "pests". OK. Be Cool. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello this is the end of week2 and the beginning of week 3 of veg. I found some small white marks and knew it was thrips... so I sprayed them with some Doctor Doom to get rid of them. I guess I didn't shake the can enough or sprayed too close and burnt the little seedlings. Felt bad. But they are bouncing back. The new leaves look good. The plants are getting some regular nutrients and seem to be growing good now. I'll start to sex them at around week 5 and then every watering after that I'll get down with my magnifying glass and look at the preflowers. Most will show their sex by week 8 and I'm only keeping 1 male for breeding. The best male, I hope. Seeing how the second strain didn't start so good, I'll put these girls into the green house. Got 6 spots in there for the 6 best females. I'll determine which is the best males and females, with the stem rub test. I'll tell you about it later... I found these essential oil recipes on theindoornursery.com/blog/best-essential-oils-for-plants/ or theindoornursery.com/blog/cannabis-pests/ Just trying to help! OK. Keep Growing Straight. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello This is the end of week 3 and the beginning of week 4 of veg. Got them repotted a few days ago and took them off their heating mats. So some of them a looking a bit wilty, because they are cold. They are doing good otherwise. Got 5 essential oils coming from Amazon tomorrow. Got Garlic, Clove, Oregano, Rosemary and Cinnamon. Got those pages off... theindoornursary.com/blog/best-essential-oils-for-plants/ Or try... theindoornursary.com/blog/cannabis-pests/ Just trying to help you fight pests and mold and fungus. I might have a 50% off your first order, code, from UHKTA Seeds. If your interested check back here next Wednesday to see. Won some seeds in their contest... Candy House... Then won a 50% off code from their next contest... then won some more seeds in their diary of the month contest. When I know my seeds are coming I'll give out the 50% off code, has to be used by May 1st this year though. Check back if your interested. OK. Be Great. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello. This is the end of week 4 and the beginning of week 5 of veg. They have got over their repotting shock and are taking off. Getting some good sized leaves coming out now. Hoping to get them out in the greenhouse by the end of the month, but it's too cold out there overnight. I've been using essential oils for a few weeks now, and I'm liking it. I had a recurring spider mite thing going for the last few months. In my cloning box, I would find a small patch of them and I would buy good bugs to combat pest bugs. But they keep coming back. I was just trying to keep my medical grow clean. No insecticides no pesticides no fungicides no herbicides. And I would buy more bugs. I saw it as never ending... So I was looking into something different to combat the pest with. The site I got those pages from seems to be gone. But I was look up essential oils to see what other sites said about them. Like I said, I'm liking it. I feel like I've got a sense of control back over the pests and don't mind the smell either, and the plants seem to don't mind it. There no awful smell or messy greasy feeling I find after I've sprayed insecticidal soap, and the essential oils aren't poisonous either. I can put a drop in my mouth with no effect. It evaporates off the leaves in a few days and it's pleasant to use There's some for pests and others for mold and fungus. I find 8 to 10 drops is enough unless you've got an infestation. Anyway... Like I said... I feel like I've got my sense of control back... Feels Good.... Look into it.. Give it a try...! I'll be using it in my garden this year. I was in contact with UKHTA Seeds last week and they said they don't mind if I give away my contest winnings of a 50% off code. Is anyone interested in a 50% off code, has to be used before May 1st 2026 though, Just privet message me if your interested, so I can see how many are interested. I'll post it on the questions page next week, if no one is interested. OK Have Fun. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello. This the end of week 5 and the beginning of week 6 of veg. Did a little trimming on these plants last week. Getting the training going. Will be using a SCRoG method on them in the greenhouse this summer. So I want them to spread out. I topped all of them and took off 2 large fan leaves per plant, that were blocking the under branches, that were trying to push up through them. I've lowered the light to about 20 inches away, and turned it up to about 45%. So the new branches are getting lots of light. They are getting just about full strength nutrient when I water them now. Next watering will be just water though. I do 2 feedings and then a watering and they are doing good. Every couple of days I spray some mixed peppermint essential oil around in here to help keep the pest away. Pest hate the peppermint smell. I've photographed a new underground comic book for your enjoyment. It's Weirdo #15 printed in 1993. Drawn by underground artist from around southern California and printed by Rip Off press. Yes... there's some weird stuff in them comics. OK. Be Cool. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello This is the end of week 6 and the beginning of week 7 of veg. Turned the dehumidifier on this week. The rh was up to 65% in here and I don't need any WPM to show up. Everything else is going good here. I got out another large tray out to spread the plant out some more. I wanted to get the plants out to the greenhouse at the end of March, but the weather is still cold here, so, we'll see. Got lots of branch tips poking out from the lower fanleaves. They should spread out good when I get them on the SCRoG table. 5 or 6 females showed their sex last week and I saw 3 males that have little balls forming, So I've got a few more plants to show their sex. I'll look again next watering. I'll take off some more bottom leaves off this week. It will make it easier to water and that will promote more upwards growth. OK. Be Cool. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello. This is the end of week 7 and the beginning of week 8 of veg. Man I started 16 regular seed to find a good male for some breeding this summer... But, I got so far... 10 females and 4 males and 2 still undecided. I was hoping for about 8 males so I could have a good choice. This happened last year too. Couldn't find a good male, so... I couldn't make any new homemade seeds. I'll check over these males in a few more weeks, to see if any of these males will be good for breeding this year. Bought a new 10x10 foot tent The other tent had a lot repairs to do. I should have cut a couple of inches off the frame so it would have been easier to do up. Probably causing some of the repairs. So I took the chop saw and cut a couple of inches off the front of the frame before I put the new tent skin on. I was tired of sewing up of zipper seams, because the sun had sun rotted the thread. And some of the reflective foil was pulling away from the canvas. Took about 4 hours to get the stuff out and the new tent on the old frame, I left the old 1 inch metal frame up. They sent a 3/4 inch metal frame, but the one that was already up was much stronger, so I keep it. What to do with the new frame??? I hope to get these plant out to the greenhouse at the end of the March and start flowering at the end of May. I can do that with my tent. And harvest in the beginning of Aug, OK Be Great. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello. This is the end of week and the beginning of week 9 of veg. I'd like the get these girls out to the green house this week, but it's still getting down to 5* c here at nights. So I'll get the oil filled portable heater out there to keep them warm at night. The exhaust of the dehumidifier will help heat the tent at night too! I've got 8 - 5 gallon plastic bins I'll fill with water to act as a heat sink for the greenhouse tent, to help keep it warm at night. I'm getting the males whittled down. I've got 3 that passed the rub the stem and feel/smell your fingers test. The next test for the males to pass is... I want alot of male flowers on each individual flower stock, that will help make tight hard flowers on the females. In a few more weeks I'll know which is which. One of the females has a smoke smell to it with the rub test. But some of the females have a nice sweet lemony cleaner type of smell to them. Should Be Good... This weeks comic is a little aggressive... So I hope it doesn't offend anyone... It's just art.... I tried to censer it. OK. Be Cool. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello This is the end of week 9 and the beginning of week 10 of veg. Got them outside and into the greenhouse last week. I see they have warm up, and all the leaves are facing the sun now. Got them spread out so they can cover their area. Slightly split 1 stem and didn't bury 2 root balls deep enough, so the top branches have to go over the first rung and then under the second. I think I'll try, putting a top net in here instead of the bamboo I've used for the last few years. Gave each plant 2 liters of ph adjusted water and poured it down the stem, so the water will travel down the stem to the root ball, and the drier soil will wick any extra water away and not cause problems for the roots of the plants. Cannabis plants don't like cold, wet, root balls. I'll do some LST next week and take some clones of these smelly plants. Some have the smell of sweet but strong lemony cleaner Some smell a little like desert and earthy. They leave a smell on your fingers you can still smell minutes later. These plants should be really good... is what my experience is telling me. OK. Be Really Cool. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello. This is the end of week 10 and the beginning of week 11 of veg. The plants are doing good and liking their soil. I always worry a little until I see no, growing tip, yellow leaves. But there's only some yellowing bottom leaves... which is good. Gave them a gallon of rain water a few days ago... They seemed to like it, and are growing good. Again, I poured the water down the stem to soak the root ball first, and then the water will flow under the root ball causing to roots to follow. Again... Not too much water, so the dry soil will wick the wet soil and I don't get a soaked anaerobic root ball. There was 3 days last week that I didn't even open the tent,... Rained all day. I figured the plants would get more photosynthesis from the lights, than from the rain clouds. I think this grow is going to be stinky. I could smell it outside the greenhouse before I opened it this morning. OK. Have Fun. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello. This is the end of week 11 and the start of week 12 of veg. The plants are doing well and have been growing since last week. Did some "push the branches under the table rungs" training yesterday. Spreading them out for more big top buds. Plant #6 is a little more yellow than the others. I've either overwatered it or the soil is a little too hot with the compost I've added. I also add some lime this year. I added about a Tbsp. per pot when I was mixing the soil for these pots. I'll let it dry out, I mean not water this plant when I water the rest next time, and see what it looks like then. It is the smallest and slowest growing plant of the bunch.... so it probably the overwatered thing. Next, I've got to get my top net up this week, without wrecking the plants. OK. Be Cool. Chuck. I'd like to talk a bit about myself. It was my "5 year" throat cancer check up, last week. The doctor couldn't find anything wrong when she shoved that long camera thingy up my nose and down my throat. To look for anything amiss on the inside, because she couldn't find anything wrong when she did the physical part of the exam. No lumps, no bumps, no sore spots,... she gave me the "All's Clear" and said this is the last visit... If you find anything in the future come back... So I'll keep up with my RSO (Rick Simson Oil... look it up) maintainace dose and keep growing my medical cannabis. It was the best of news 😁😋😎 Happy to tell you about it, and what I've done for myself to to get here. Just ask if your interested. OK. Be Great. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello. This is the end of week 12 and the beginning of week 13 of veg.. It's mostly going good here. I'm still a little concerned about Plant #6. It's still a little lighter green that the others. I tested the rain water I've been using and it's ph is 6.8 so I don't think that's the problem. The rest of the plants look good. I'll test the soil ph next. I'll get a kit at the store to see how the soil tests. Might have to flush the plant #6.... We'll see... Still getting down to 8*c at night. Got to have the heat on over night. and the heat sink helps. That's the 40 gallons of water I have in 8 - 5 gallon jugs under the table. It hold the day heat and releases in at night. You can see the white jugs in the pics between the table. I meant to get the top net on last week but I worked on my vegie garden instead. Man those vegie seeds aren't cheap either. OK. Take Care. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello. This is the end of week 13 and the beginning of week 14 of veg. Did some light SCRoG training last week, but mostly worked on my second vegie garden I've run in to a snag putting up my top net... I forgot about the middle pole in the 10x10 foot tent. So I guess I've got to cut the net, and tie back up, the cut part. I'll work on that for next week. Plant's # 5 and #6 are less yellow now. I gave them some food with a lower ph -5.5 -to see if that would help with the yellowing. They aren't so quite so yellow today, so I think it helped. I'll do a stronger SCRoG training this week. Getting ready for flowering in a few weeks. OK. Be Great. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello This is the end of week 14 and the beginning of week 15 of veg. Plant #6 is looking alot less yellow. It's green on the growing tips and still a bit yellow on the bottom leaves. When I repotted them the last time, I thought I put in enough compost in to keep them green without giving food for a month or so. But Plants #5 and #6 got compost from the top of the bin where there is less worm action... so less food. Since I've been giving full nutrient/food, they have been doing and looking a lot better.. It's still a couple of weeks before I force flowering. So I'll leave them alone for a week and a bit and then do a LST and take clones about 5 days before going into flowering. The plants smell great... Sorta a gelato type of smell that stays on the clothes for hours when working with them. So... Yes... I'll take clones of these great smelling plants and use the essential oil sprays (see weeks 2, 3 and 4) to get rid of any unwanted pests... OK. Keep Growing Straight. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello This is the end of week 15 and the beginning of week 16 of veg. These plants finally got a full watering last week. I've been trying not to over water them. I've got my hydroponics and reservoir hooked up and the plants are getting about 3 minutes of solution each day at 8:45 am. No, that's not enough to keep the soil moist all the time, so I'll hand water with rainwater when the pots seem dry. I'll dump in about 2 gallons of rainwater about every 4 or 5 days and I might get some runoff at first. I think 1 more week of veg and then I'll flip to flowering. I'll take the lights out and open the light proof tent about 8 am and close it about 8:30 pm I'm thinking about 10 weeks of flowering, unless I run into a problem like WPM or mites and have to cut down early. The plants are doing good and looking good. everyone is nice and green and pushing up with the food they have been getting. I gave a heaping tbsp. of www.wollammo.com powder to each pot and I put it under the hydroponic line into the pot. The solution will run through it and help the plant. It's got lots of other great minerals in it the plants can use too... Check it out. OK. Keep Growing Straight. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello. This is the end of the veg phase, at 16 weeks, and the first week of flowering. I'll be pulling out the lights later today, or tomorrow morning and flipping over to sunlight flowering. I hope to have 10 weeks of flowering unless something happens like pests or mold or fungus. I spent some time in here last week to get as many tips up to net height as I could. I was pulling down the taller branches 2 weeks ago, so the other branches could catch up. And last week I was pushing them back up into the netting. So I've got a fairly even top now... so I'll go into flowering. OK. Keep Growing Straight. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello. This is the end of week 1 and the start of week 2 of flowering. Man... These plants are taking off now. The roots have reached the the edges of the pots and they are ready to flower. Hope they don't stretch to much more. It was warm in there last week, with 1 day up to 33*c and 2 days at 31*c.. It's not overly smelly in here. But I have to rub up against the leaves to close the tent and open it each day. I can still smell it on my shirt hours later. If I rub my chest the t-shirt smell great... It's a Gelato type of smell. So I'm hoping for something really tasty when it's cured. OK. Be Cool. Chuck.

Chucky324 Hello This is the end of week 2 and the beginning of week 3 of flowering. Everything is going good in here. Man, they are stretching for the ceiling. Hope they stop stretching before they hit it. I usually do a trim-up before the start of the 3rd week of flowering, before the resin starts. So, I'll get in here this week and do that. I take off the small sucker branches near the table top for bigger top buds, and some fan leaves for better air flow and hopefully no WPM. The plants get 3 minutes of hydroponic solution for 6 days and then I change the nutrient on the 7th. I hand water with 2 gallons rainwater every 3 to 4 days. I pollenate a few branches with pollen put in long paper bags, and closed and tied off for 24 hour's, about the start of the 4th week. for some future seeds. OK. Be Great. Chuck.

Nice vigorous growth and that training is on point. SCROG method is always the way to go outdoors bro 💨

@wolfvb, Thanks Bud... Hey.. Congratulations on your growers prize. Is that nutrient stuff good? Well,.. I'll be in the big greenhouse with these girls, got 6 spots all set up for SCRoG, the SCRoG table is about 6 foot long and 8 foot wide and I've got a smaller greenhouse for the good male... if I find one. I decided to get a new 10x10 tent for the greenhouse, the other one is about 7 years old and the UV is helping to wreck the stitching and some of the foil part is separating from the black canvas. I've got too many repairs to make, so I bought a new one off Amazon. It'll be here in a few days. It cost about 550 can dollars and taxes too, but free shipping.

@GhostTerpZ, Thanks Bud. Yeah... I got these seeds from my local grow shop. They were 99 can dollars for 21 regular seeds. The clerk said good things about the grower. So... I thought I would take a change... Always looking for a good male :) When I got home I read some good reviews about this grower on Yelp and Redditt. Yes... they are looking good so far. Good of you to say... Be Cool...
