Ansonsten haben wir beim Netzt Spannen noch kleine nachwachsende Stins weggenommen um wirklich alle benötigte Kraft in die Cola´s zu bekommen. Wir Gießen im Moment ca. alle 24 Stunden 4 Liter Nährstofflösung inkl. 0,08 g Co2_ Tablette und 4 ml PK14/15 Wir wünschen allen Growmies viel Erfolg und eine angenehme Woche! Papaya sherbet really doesn’t like to be drenched. She likes her pot to stay more dry but she is a beautiful specimen top for days. Still trying to dial her nutrients in. She’s a picky eater but fire genetics. I grew the papaya Auto flower and loved it so cannot wait to see how the papaya sherbet turns out. 💪🔥

Aiming for 1g/watt Germinated seeds from FAST BUDS, were planted and hand watered using tap water pH’d to high 5.8 to low 5.9 with H&G Roots Excl. giving a nice PPM of 362 to start. The BudBox tent is a 2x2x2m, using a Medusa Boosted XL run off trays to a waste brain were the run off can be tested. This will then be recirculated into the feeding tank again. The feed tank will a standard 100L water butt, retro fitting pumps inside for Feeding and Pump to waste - for cleaning the tank out each week. Another 100L water butt will contain a store of filtered RO water which will fill the feeding tank. A 10L PureMate humidifier is set at 65%, along with 2x RAM 16” oscillating wall fans which are mounted to the top of the tent for maximum coverage - set to lvl1 on swing giving the 25°C. No extraction yet. This is ready and waiting. 8” HyperFresh fan with a RHINO 8”x600 pro filter. We are using 8” acoustic ducting.✌️🏻 Week 1 - Day 2 No change. Keeping the new environment stable is difficult. The humidifier is not large enough for the space. Week 1 - Day 3 Fed PH RO water this morning. Trying to keep the humidity up inside the tent. They have popped up! It begins :D Did a feed of 5.8PH RO with CocaA&B 0.4ml/l, Roots excl 0.3ml/l, Calmag 0.2ml/l for a 150PPM. 300ml was used to moisten the coco per pot. Extraction fully connected. Environment stable at 23-24°C, trying to stay at 23.3°C. Humidity fluctuating 47-60%, humidifier struggling, but hopefully be okay. Week 1 - Day 4 All 6 are up and reaching. Husks hopefully will pop off soon. Will be doing another small feed this evening to keep the coco moist. Little leaves have appeared!! Fed another 300ml, 5.8PH @ 151PPM/ plant. Week 1 - Day 5 All shooting up now, tallest at 5cm down to 3.5cm 🌱 I gently helped the last 2 husks off the smallest ones to hopefully even them up. Gave the coco 1L of RO water around the edges. Week 1 - Day 6 Nothing to report this morning. Another PPM feed to be done shortly. Soaked the coco until run off with around 3-4L per pot using 5.8PH nuit water; 0.4 Canna A&B, 0.2 Calmag, 0.3 Roots Excl. 152PPM. First time we tested the Medusa brain - works well and pumps away to the feed tank, need to change one of the low trays to be a boosted tray for better drainage. Giving 5 boosted trays and one normal. Hand feeding up until this point, but will connect up the automation in the next week. Week 1 - Day 7 Strongest are growing around 1cm a day now. Tallest 6cm, smallest at 4cm. Looking forward to next weeks progress :) Bought a wet&dry vac - best thing ever!! Haha. Cleans everything in sight plus all the water from the dirty run off. Lifted all the pots, still a good weight to them so no feed or RO water today I think. Bring on week 2! 💪🏻

Well shit..... Here is a reminder for everyone out there, calibrate your pH monitoring equipment on its recommended schedule! Of all the things to forget about. Sigh. My pH has been out of whack, looks like it was far to low and I have been effectively starving the plants of phosphorus. At least is what the leaves are starting to show, a definite deficiency. It was hard to see on the right plant at first as the purple hit the spots rather well. They just started turning necrotic in places. It really jumped out on the left plant and was easier to spot. It was reading 6.1 but was more like 5.2 Lesson learned, stay on top of that pH. I think it is time to retire these old Milwaukee MC120's in favor of some newer models. I could just replace the probes and double down on the calibration but I've had these things for nearly ten years now. I think sitting in that moderately humid environment has taken its toll on the internals. They aren't exactly made well. Oh well, these won't end up looking perfectly pretty in the end I guess. Given that I already wasn't to happy with the pheno, I'm not expecting much from these plants now.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil.
