Organic Cookies Original sensible Seeds Girl scout cookies 8 weeks of flowering completed 29th March 2020 Hi Everyone I hope you are all well and staying safe during these strange times we are all facing at the moment. This Girl scout cookies plant is getting closer everyday but so is the risk of mold . Ive already needed to chop out a few pieces of flower that were starting to turn moldy so it's been a very stressful and watchful week for me. Ideally I'd like to let this plant go atleast another week or even two but with the weather the way it is and the forecast for is yet to come suggests i will need to harvest well before then if I'm to get uneffected buds that can be safely smoked. I havent been game to even water her for the last 3 days due to the very high humidity but luckily she is showing no sighns of being thirsty or needing any food. Day 70. Watered with heavy nutes last Wednesday and just water today... Just wanna give em a little break and see... The super silver haze is pretty much done. Will wait another week to get more Amber just a few seen atm. The main cola must be 10 grams alone... Bets are on! Definitely doing 100% better then last time... Guessing going to be 20/25 grams dry compared to last grow.

As of March 27, Day 7 of the grow, the seedling is doing alright but showing minor cal-mag deficiency. I will be doing a little cal-mag foliar spraying to help get through this delicate period. I turned on my HLG-100v2 light and have the seedling vegging under a 20/4 hour light schedule. I have transitioned up to .8EC as increasing the cal-mag in the coco is important after a week of low EC fertigation. I maintain a 5 gallon nutrient reservoir with an air stone and H202 to keep it sterile, and have a pump to automatically water 3 times a day for 20 second intervals. March 29, Day 9: I am still trying to correct the minor cal-mag issues, but the Euforia is still growing at a pretty good speed so I am not too worried. March 30, Day 10: running a humidifier under a clear dome to get the RH up for the seedling.

All is going well, the girls are looking good. Only providing Calmag and powder KoolBloom now. Buds are starting to thicken up and overall nice and healthy. Raised up PK2 slightly, PK1 is much taller.

Just bought and added an automatic display to rotate this plant. I'm looking forward to seeing the results it has over time. I was inspired by a Reddit user (wish I could remember their name) but what a fantastic idea! More to come!

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Other than spreading folage out to new found space (had two male seedlings), I haven't maintenanced much. I want to get the pH down slow. I'm doing a top up and going to be careful for no big jumps. I'm gonna take the bins my tank sits on out to give me more grow room for next crop, and to keep reservoir temp down. Maßnahmen: Lichtabstand leicht vergrößert, um Transpirationsstress ("Canoeing") zu mindern. EC wird durch Zugabe von reinem Osmosewasser leicht gesenkt, um der Tuntz Lake Cake den Start zu erleichtern.

Look what I did to my girl, poor lady. But i'm sure she will bounce back, but with all that leaf shit It's hard to properly tie them down. So i broke off a total of 2 branches (yellow tape) and managed to attach one back to it. Otherwise she took all the stress LIKE A CHAMP - yet. We'll see. To be honest, i was quite lazy with her the last days, it was pretty stressful but look at her, she is basically growing herself! As long as you can cool it, have some sort of system to change water and some, basic nutrients and ph- DWC is the easiest system for me, 100% Look at the roots and i did not fill up the reservoir for like half a week, so a lot of it wsd exposed to air for a longer time still she is growing and growing. Two more weeks and i might have a problem with her in flower, because she will drink so much water the reservoir won't hold a long time haha.
