day 7 Flowering: Hi all . It has been the start of their flowering this week and the initial stages of their stretch period. Time to exploit the burst of growth and set them in position for full light absorbing relaxation. The less stress to get light , the more focus on creating the beauty in flowering hopefully. I took some time to do a clear out of the small scrappy growth low down the stems to focus on the happy growing bud sites higher up. With their shape and size , the flowers would have been within the ball shapes and unable to develop properly. The shape of the plants from the tip spreading is very helpful now. I am able to tuck the really big powerhouse fans , underneath the developing lowers. This supports the lower growth to head higher but also keeps the main stem powered by the very important big fans. As these are autoflowers and able to use the available light through the huge fans , it can only be beneficial to keep them as long as possible while they are not blocking anything. The difference between the strains is noticable more now with the Strawberry Pie wanting to spread her branching more . Tip spreading has kept them smaller but their nature still has them wanting the long node lengths and cluster bud structures as opposed to long donkey di#ks. The other strains have benefited more from it and in particular, the #2 Six Shooter has an amazing amount of hopeful mains all fighting for focus so should be a good example of how tip spreading really works to create productive , squat beasts. Fingers crossed.lol They are still being fed just water with no additional boosts beside the last top dressings. I will be watering again with the biosys tea but they look so happy and green that I wont be adding any other products unless I notice a need. Cal.mag being the exception as I want to avoid the expected deficits from using l.e.d , before it can slow anything down in repair/recovery. The light is covering them all perfectly and with the height still to be lowered after the stretch is done , I know from previous Mars lights, the big solid nugs will appear.... I have used a video to show the past weeks growth rather than the usual pics and hope this will be more interesting than having to scroll pics. I also noticed a few leaf miners among the other plants and suspect we have some migration here too. Not too serious as yet but before it gets too bad , I used a store bought spray ( organic) to hopefully get to grips before they do. Failing this , a good smoke bomb might be used. 7/2 Last week it was extremely hot (80's-90's) with cold nights. We had a severe thunderstorm last night and it's raining like crazy today. I didn't spend time in the garden as it was pouring. However I defoliated yesterday briefly. I had maybe a half dozen leaves yellow and die a couple days after the organicide application. They were mostly the largest oldest fan leaves most infected with pm. A couple smaller interior leaves yellowed and died as well but they were the leaves most infected. I assume that's normal. As I defoliated I noticed my first aphid of the season. I saw a few dead ones the organicide killed and a couple that were alive. Aphids aren't a big deal. They'll be evicted soon enough. I haven't seen one spot of pm though since the application. Maybe a little on a dead leaf but it seems to be working good. Didn't take pictures today but needed one to update the diary. Trying to upload videos but they take forever. 7/3 Ridiculously hot all last week. Extremely hot yesterday then a severe thunderstorm but it cleared to 90 degrees with 90%rh. This environment is a fungal nirvana. Still a slight smell from the organicide. I'm glad I used it though. I threw away some more leaves but this is the time that starts happening anyway. Before the stretch. With the ideal conditions I saw WPM rear it's head again. Only this time the organicide seemed to still have a residue. The PM only infected the super old biggest fan leaves and a few tiny tiny leaves on the very interior of the plant. I didn't know I had aphids but I've found a few dead on the underside of leaves I defoliated. So it seems to be working. My plants are growing towards the sun (partially due to my tarps which I need to be legal) which make airflow harder to maintain. My dad gave away my pallets this year. I had planned to put bags and supports on pallets with some sort of wheel so I could spin them. Oh well I'll do that next year in my new location. I have also found moth holes in couple leaves so BT it will still be needed. If videos didn't take so long to upload I would have a bunch. Happy growing. 7/5 Watered lightly (as it had been 90's) before feeding three gallons to the garden. Noticed some telltale leafhopper signs on a 9lb kush. The organicide seems to be doing a decent job of keeping PM at bay. The blueberry is now the worst it seems. I'm planning on another application before I try anything heavier. The fishy smell is now totally gone. Plants seem healthy and are a nice dark green. I have had some problems that have effected my ability to fully care for my girls. I have some defoliation I need to do. I also see moths sometimes in the morning plus the pm and the random munch. I guess that's to be expected outside but I need to get on top of this shit. I also have more LST I could be doing. 7/6 Rained all night and still off and on. Can't see any pm but I've found a few spots on the blueberry that could be septoria. I'm going to hit them either tonight or tomorrow with the organicide and if it doesn't work I may try a sulfer based fungacide. Took a few pictures. I need to defoliate as well. 7/7 Uploaded some duplicate pics accidentally. If I could've created the perfect environment for fungal infections I don't think I could've done better than yesterday. Hence the organicide. I was surprised it wasn't pronounced and only a little here and there. Also saw leaf hopper and pillar damage so hopefully this will straighten that out. Blueberry seems weak in it's stalk. I'm not sure if the wind is blowing it against that hard metal circle around it. It may have septoria. If it does I'll have to switch to something different or junk the plant. 7/8 This sucks. I can see signs of leaf septoria on the GDPs. This is definitely not a strain for the Maine climate. It's not resilient enough against diseases. This year has been particularly bad with 40 degree temp swings and rain then bright hot sun. I couldn't engineer better conditions. I appears senescence starts at the same time looking back over the past four years. However maybe that's just the life cycle of the earwigs. Oh yeah. I raked the inside of the grow bag with my hand and AT LEAST a half dozen earwigs came out RIGHT FROM THE SOIL IN THE BAG. I dealt with these prehistoric bastards last year and lost half my harvest. They eat other insects but the spread disease like crazy and they DO eat your plant while leaving behind the worst bacteria and plant disease. I have research to do. Like I said. This sucks. I'm changing locations next year but I need some help dealing with the septoria and the earwigs or I'll be fucked again. I defoliated anything that looked suspect. Still need to improve airflow.

There's soooooo much and it smells great. I had a 3x3 for drying but resorted to just drying in the grow tent since I'm not sure if it would have all fit. I will not be using a SCROG especially with Autopots and this light as it leaves no room for me to get in and train. Will post final results in ~10 days or so. See you on the next one

10/17/24 Short facts: - Continued with LST - Watered: 1 x 1.2L, 1 x 0.3L - VPD @ 0.9 — raised by 0.1 - Light @ 50% ~580 - 620 PPFD - Removed 5 leaves --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As promised last week, i made a video and explained the progress so far, and did show you the plant. Not much to report. I continued LST, though I’ve stopped for a few days now since the branches are well spread out, and that should be enough for the time being. The AvT was in Preflower since last week and switched to flower on day 28. Really good plant. No problems at all.

The girls are really starting to fruit up, they have been on 10 scoops of flower food per week and this past week we added one scoop of flower finisher to the mix. Their feeding has been split into two days so as not to flood the plants with nutrients and burn the leaves. This means they still get their 10 scoops but in 5 scoop intervals. Watering has been every 2 days because of the 12/12 light schedule the soil doesn't dry out as quickly. The buds are getting massive on the White Widow plant, they are getting to be too heavy for the branches so I have begun to support the lower branches by tying them up to the main stem. I am using a plant wire so that as the plant moves and grows it isn't constricted. You can see the green supports in the newest pictures I uploaded. I also began thinning out the fan leaves so that all of the plants energy can be focused on the bud growth regions. I began removing the larger fan leaves that were blocking light to the bud regions. You can see how the plants are less bushy now. This should provide some low stress to the plants and boost bud production. Continued to thin out the fan leaves today. Made a lot of progress, now all of the bud sites should be receiving light. We also began a new fertilizer. I added a flower finisher into the mix with the Build A Bloom 2-10-5 flower food. Starting with just a 2 scoops mixed into the other flower food from pride lands. Cut down the pride lands scoops to 3 per serving to balance out with the new 2 scoops of flower food. This will keep me at 1 scoop per gallon of media per plant per week.

Hoping she stops the stretch soon as she'll be getting very close very close to the light if she doesn't. Very happy with how the canopy and defo turned out. Still stretching, OH LAWD. She was 25 cm away from the light, that's lightburn just waiting to happen. Got the two tents in series now with all the equipment in the larger tent so this light can literally kiss the roof, which was very much needed. Canopy was looking a little dense in parts and the corners had nothing at all so I fixed that. This really is turning into a very nice run for me. Last defo day 21, I'll have the choice between a 45 and 30 cm deep canopy it seems. I think I fucked up the defo, I think I took way too much fan leaves. I left 3 fan leaves at least to the top of each main.

Wow! That's what I find myself saying every time I look into this beautiful flower tent! It's the end of week four bloom and dang am I happy lol. I'm absolutely in love with this plants strong indica structure. She looks so strong and sturdy, can't wait to see how she looks in full bloom, stacked up with flower... gorgeous plant. We're running the insect Frass now, full strength and I also put down some hummus and compost as a top dressing just to be sure that these ladies have enough food. 2025 Plagron / Zamnesia Eternity Grow Runtz Auto Week 11 Flower 7 Runtz Automatic is in her last week; March 17 had her wet trim and was put in the dark for 2 days before getting the chop on March 20. Runtz fade and nutrient usage apparent in the leaves combined with a check of her trichomes were an indication of readiness. The older pistils are turning orange brown and water consumption is slowing down. Many leaves were fully yellow and fell off when I touched them. Her leaves look pretty with lime greens, pinky purples in the bud formation. The buds are dense and covered in trichomes supported nicely with her stems. Through the microscope, the trichomes are mostly milky with some amber as well. She was harvested on day 74 from germination. As part of the flushing process, I topped the pot with ice, then watered with ph 6.5-6.7 water for 3 days. Then I put Runtz Auto in the dark for 2 days still in her pot. She will hang to dry in a darkened room. Temps are 71-72and 50% humidity. This week the gals were fed on March 17 & 19. Pics were taken on the 17th.
