I think will harvest the watermelon this week and start drying it and curing it soon as well northern light which was a free seed and didn’t start its life very well is the one that end it up being the hugest one! Even if it was my first growing I took some risk with the northern light cause I used fim on it as well as huge defoliations and lst Will update at Harvest time from today I’ll stop feeding the northern night and I will also stop watering the watermelon until it’s time to harvest

This week they came out of the nursery and started to absorb light from their leaves instead of water. Growth is slower with the Northern Lights vs. the Cookies Gelato. “Cookie” is a monster so I will name it “Cookie Monster”, and The Northern Lights is called “Noel” because she will be ready around Christmas… When I was young we used to get “Christmas Buds” around the second half of December, which was Original Northern Lights. It’s a childhood dream of mine to grow Northern Lights, so I’m so excited for her to grow up big and strong.😛

Hemp papers, normal, clipper signed royal queen seed, a magazine I can't wait to read, nutrients, stickers, a complete catalog with the new genetics, a Zamnesia booklet, 5 seeds Honey Cream fast flowering, a door joint (which I have photographed several times, I already love it, my walking joint will no longer suffer from the long walks in my pocket waiting to be consumed), grinder, fabric vase that I really like at the sight, and the starter kit for germination. Due to the current lack of space to germinate, I dipped 2 seeds in water, (I started with one but it seemed to suffer from loneliness: D). I can't wait for them to start growing, I'm very excited to be able to participate in a contest. Raised the light a few inches to try to get more to the middle buds. Also retied down a couple branches for the same reason. You can tell where the middle and bottom ones are not getting enough. That smell!! 💜

Las plantas siguen creciendo y formando flores. A la mitad les e aplicado una defoliacion selectiva de hojas primarias para abrir paso a las ramas bajas y agrupar la planta de esta forma consigues plantas mas compactas al no tener que alejarse tanto las ramas del tallo para recibir luz. La otra mitad no lo a necesitado al ser un fenotipo mas xativo y corto. El aporte de co2 las hace trabajar bastante y aguantar la dosis de nutrientes diaria. Solo se riega una vez a la semana con sensizym. La distancia internodal de algunas plantas es espectacularmente corta. Llos cogollos ya estan unidos y apenas han comenzado a salir. Muy ansioso por ver como continua esta variedad de barneys farm. En el ultimo video podeis ver el plano general y la diferencia que hay entre el fenotipo mas xativo y el fenotipo indico a pesar de ser todas dos si dos 33 y estar bajo las mismas condiciones.

Started week 1 and we placed these girls in a 7 liter pot, they are now growing with 1x Marshydro TS1000 but im adding another TS1000 in 2 weeks when they start flowering

Va increíble, a pesar de que tardo para entrar en floración, nunca detuvo su crecimiento y logré hacer un LST super chingon de modo que logre que todas las puntas estén masomenos a la misma altura, así todas recibirán bastante luz y crecerán muy bien 🤤 ya me las imaginó 💪🏻🌲

OK, we’re getting pretty damn close. I definitely toasted a couple of the taller spears with a new lightbulb. The damage seems to be to the fan leaves and some of the sugar leaves, the buds seem to be spared of any damage. I reduce the nutrients to zero to flush yesterday. I’m hoping they’ll be ready to harvest in a couple three days. The tricombs are still Mostly white and clear, very little if any brown yet. I figure I’ll wack them at 50-50 brown Here is a question for some more experienced growers that might read this. I have read that when buds are light stressed they will make a bud on a bud. I’ll put a couple pictures of this here. Is this what they are talking about? Peace,Take care of each other, and give me the patience to last another week.

This week the plan will be to continue LST by tying down new shoots to encourage new flower sites. I am starting to see some hairs so I am going to call this week 1 of flower. I had hoped for a bit more of a pre-flower stretch on the girls, but hopefully they get a little taller during the flower stretch. At the same time, with continued LST, hoping to increase bud sites and increase overall light penetration. Keeping an eye on the water PH level as mine switches a bit in the winter vs. the summer time. Same system of watering thoroughly when dry, also adding water to the bottom of the fabric pots to be soaked up, to encourage lower soil moisture for root stretching. The Low Ryder genetics in the AK74 seems to be keeping to squat. Hopefully some of the AK47 bud structure comes through in some of these phenotypes. I've taken out measuring the plant height, as it is slightly hard to accurately describe that with the constant LST. I've also highlighted HST as a grow technique, but this is mostly just some simple Super Cropping on some of the bud sites that are a bit more awkward to tie down with soft ties. At the end of this week or early next week I plan to amend the top soil with some more Gaia Green Power Bloom, as the nutrients used during initial planting will be starting to be used up and we are entering flowering phase with more need for the bloom nutrients. I will likely also add a little bit of the 4-4-4 All Purpose as well, in case the plants still have a bit of nitrogen requirements for vegetation. Otherwise, things are green and things are looking healthy to date. I have some moisture gnats, but not enough for it to be a pain. I will be adding an additional dehumidifier into the environment as we progress into flowering, to make sure to discourage mold or mildew from forming. Additional fans are being added as well for better air flow.

No fertilizer this week. I harvested the Apricot and the Pound Cake. I will wait one more week for the Orange Sherbet because it doesn't seem ready even if it's in the Fast Buds harvest range. This week should be the last "flowering" week, next ones will be the harvests. I don't want to add another flowering week just for the Orange Sherbet, there will be nothing to see that will not be included in the harvest. During half of the grow, the weather was really bad, especially for the summer period. The worst weather was during the vegetative phase. The plants didn't receive enough light which resulted in poor roots and leaves development. Because of that, the plants didn't have the chance to grow nice buds even if the sun was there during most of the flowering phase. Last summer, I grew a Tropicana Cookies (also from Fast Buds) in a tiny pot at the exact same spot and had better results despite the smaller pot. I didn't record the sun for that year but the weather was better from what I remember. I'm disapointed by the weather but cannot blame the plants. You cannot expect beautiful plants and buds if they don't have light 😞 In the end, my summer grows are more like bonus grows (my main grows are under a light in the winter) and I make them just for fun and to be able to taste new weeds without too much investment. Was another pretty good week in the books both in and out of the tent. More and more branches are being weighted down by colas, and had to be tied up. UKBS 1 continues to frost up like a winter morning. I'm doing my best to keep airflow moving in the tent, mainly in and around UKBS 1 as it's the denser of the two. Carl 1 was having a little bit of an issue but I believe it's been mostly resolved as of now as I've given it a pure watering in between the latest feedings. Outside (inside, most of the time. haha) The plants are doing quite well, save for the high winds that magically spring up whenever they go outside. At this point I'm basically forced to purchase a greenhouse or something of that sort so they don't blow away completely. Timelapse is out for the week, as per usual. EOS Rebel T5 shots will probably come tomorrow or the next day. -6/18/2021 - Keep fuckin' up the watering schedule. Carl 1 is not pleased. These kinds of whoopsies shouldn't be happening in flower, especially not this late. Gotta get on top of things. - In other news, took some shots with the EOS Rebel T5. Hope you'll enjoy. -6/23/2021 - Built a greenhouse kinda thing. Should keep the wind off the plants well enough while allowing a wee bit for airflow. Hoping all goes well.
