Often, marijuana growers who have their plants in indoor grow tents or rooms with artificial lighting, take into account parameters such as temperature and relative humidity to maximize plants growth and bloom, thus obtaining abundant harvest with top quality flowers. As we will see later, these factors affect different processes of the plant, such as transpiration or nutrient uptake. However, we usually forget about another important factor that is related to the aforementioned ones: vapor pressure deficit or VPD. Broadly speaking, VPD is the difference between the amount of water vapor that the atmosphere is able to retain (which depends on temperature) and the amount of water vapor contained in it (relative humidity). It is usually measured in kilopascals (kPa). Providing our plants with a correct relationship between temperature and relative moisture will keep us on the right VPD parameters, increasing the plant’s activity and thus improving its growth and showing its full potential during the flowering phase. The ideal would be to adjust both parameters (temperature and humidity) to get the best possible VPD value, so that the development of plants will be amazing.In the chart above you can see the right temperature and moisture values to maximize the development of cannabis plants. The green zone shows you optimal values of VPD, in which it would be ideal to maintain the environment. The orange zone shows correct values, in which plants should not have problems to develop normally. However, red areas show values in which your plants will be very far from hit their full potential, since the relation between temperature and moisture is not optimal. With relatively high values of VPD (between 5 and 12) plants tend to open their stomata and release a considerable amount of water vapor into the environment (increasing their transpiration). This increase in transpiration results in an increase in the plant’s photosynthetic activity, which will need more nutrients and will improve its overall growth, both during growth and bloom. The best range is between 7.5 and 10.5, which we have marked in green. However, we must be careful that VPD is not too high (dark red zone) since the plant would close its stomata to avoid releasing too much water vapor to the environment, which would result in fast dehydration due to excessive transpiration. On the other hand, if VPD is too low (light red zone), the plant will also close its stomata for not releasing more water into the atmosphere, which in this case would be already saturated (it would have reached the maximum water retention capacity in a specific temperature). In this way, reducing transpiration will also reduce photosynthesis, which has a direct impact on the plant’s development and yield. That way, VPD is essential when it comes to offer the best conditions for the development of plants, also to understand its water requirements according to the nutrients used and thus adjust them correctly to meet the grower’s expectations. At the end plants didn’t drink anymore. Don’t know why. Im very pleased with the results. Expected about 200g but got way more. Grow went well. Exept I should have ordered scrog et way before bc when it arrived it was too late and i couldnt train them anymore.

Hi liebe Community!💚 Nach vier Wochen Pause, war es nun Mal wieder an der Zeit dem Outdoor Projekt einen Besuch abzustatten. Ein Wunder! Sie leben noch, wobei es die Diesel nun stark umgebogen hat, da es in den letzten zwei Wochen auch immer Mal wieder Stürmisch war. Es hat jetzt 2 Wochen am Stück geregnet. Dafür sehen die Pflanzen doch sehr vital aus. Im worst Case, hätte ich vermutet, dass die Bude schon am schimmeln sind. Doch es scheint dass die Pflanze sehr stabil ist. Jedoch kommt jetzt erst noch die heiße Phase, den die Pflanzen brauchen noch gute drei bis vier Wochen. Grüne Grüße 🌱

I'm not applying any type of training to this lady,she has performed a big stretch in her first week of flower,looks absolutely gorgeous,sometime she es tress a little with heat. However the super soil she's living in and the lactobacillus liquid I make homemade is helping her so much,it's a pleasure to see her every morning

Week 8 Hi everyone 😀 I am so delighted with this little grow. Finally upper growth slowed down and buds are getting structure and weight. Have adjusted nutrients and increased watering to approx. 2 liters every 2 days. The aroma inside this cabinet it's very strong. It's smells a little bit fruity. 2 kg active carbon filters doing the job perfectly and nothing is coming out. Will update progress of this week every couple days. 12/09 Day 51 Buds on 2 most developed girls are getting frosty and gaining weight. Due to extreme fast flowering time on this strain decided to start applying final nutrient - Green Sensation from Plagron. Today only 0.5ml per liter but will increase to 1ml on next watering. 14/09 Day 53 Girls got so bushy again and decided to apply selective defoliation and tied some branches to netting. Not easy task if you have only frontal access and can't remove pots out 😅 17/09 day 56 Its the end of week 8 Everything is going well, buds and leaves are covered with lovely frost now. Thankfully have no major issues accept the humidity which can't be dropped below 50%. Stay tuned for upcoming updates. Peace and love ✌️

🌸 Woche 5 der Blüte Die Early Skunks sind jetzt mitten in der Blüte und entwickeln sich richtig stark. Der Stretch ist so gut wie durch und die Pflanzen haben ein schönes, gleichmäßiges Blätterdach aufgebaut. Die Blüten werden von Tag zu Tag sichtbarer und setzen schon ordentlich Harz an. Das DWC-System läuft stabil: frische Nährlösung, klare Werte und die Wurzeln strahlend weiß. Genau so soll es in dieser Phase aussehen. Die Pflanzen nehmen sehr gut auf und zeigen keinerlei Mängel oder Stress – Farbe, Struktur und Wachstum sind voll im grünen Bereich. Das Klima bleibt konstant und das Setup arbeitet sauber zusammen. Licht, Luft und CO₂ greifen perfekt ineinander, wodurch die Pflanzen richtig Tempo machen. Fazit: Sehr starke Woche. Gesunde Pflanzen, satte Farbe, stabile Blütenentwicklung. Alles bereit für die nächsten Wochen, in denen die Buds jetzt richtig zulegen werden. 🌱🔥

Day 0. Got new setup : aka light and tent from Mats Hydro and went for small grow off ;) Great AMS strain, loved the taste Ts1000 great light with dimmer for insane low price. Solid durable Mars hydro tent, tested not one. Day 2. Girls could not loose shell, so streched a bit, helped with fingers before photo shoot;) Happy Growing !!!

More to come!... don't even ask how I keep this tent in the 70s in the garage when it is already getting to 96 degrees outside..... short answer... "oh, this works, well it did work, maybe if I do this, that seems to help, well shit, that didn't work, uh oh, its getting hot, I got it!... and done. - temps start to climb into the 90s - " oh shit, oh shit!, Its not working anymore, I guess 90 degrees inside the tent is better than being in the 100s.... think, think, think, 😲 I got it!... annnd done👌! Its working. The temp at the time of writing this is... 73 degrees (last night it is was in the upper 80s lower 90s). So yeah, my wife is upset at the time I've been spending on it..... if only she would have let me do this inside the house like I wanted to. Meh, whatareya gonna do? 😕 There is something living in my attic... I hear it now.😒....

Buds are maturing. I think the Gorilla Cookies should be ready end of next week, the two others will maybe need more time. I added some strings to the Wedding Cheesecake because the branches were slowly falling, now it's good.

She finished strong, I wanted to push her another couple days but started showing signs of necrosis in ways I wasn’t confident in letting her go longer.
