I started germination of 2 Jack F1 beans on 29/12/2020. I pre moistened my rockwool cubes with ph balanced water to 6.4. Made sure the plugs were just damp and not soaked. Using a small wooden dowel I increased the size of the plugs pre made holes. Than I sowed my beans into the holes. Ripped off a small piece of rockwool and mulched it up. Lightly filled the holes in with the mulched rockwool. Than stuck the plugs into a misted humidity dome, to complete germination. Shouldn't take anymore than 4-5 days to see some sprouts. Once I see some cotlydon leaves bursting to the surface. I will get the plugs planted into some 1 gallon pots. Plus get these ladies situated into their new home. Cant wait! Just some background information on my last run with the Jack f1. It was relatively strong during veg. But was middle of the pack in size after the 6 weeks of vegetative growth. After the flower stretch she became the largest quick! With a enormous stretch rate of 300%... Yes she tripled in size. Forcing me too super crop her which she didnt like at all. Setting her back and definitely hurting her all around yeild. Despite the staggering, unexpected stretch amount. Leading to the stress inducing supercropping. She still pulled off immaculate bud structre, density, and trichome production. She just took much longer than she should have... and didnt pack on the whopper size buds I'd expect out of these genetics. Definitely learned alot out of my first go. So I'm amped for the second run with this variety. This time around I'm going to anticipate the stretch and cut veg time shorter. To roughly 4 weeks or 1 ft in height. Also utilize a bit of very light lst to their side branching to open them up a little bit. Without stressing them out... well hopefully.

I mean actually using this tent for other grow, so might as well rate it. It's quite durable and like the shape and color of it but I like this tent less with every grow. Doesn't has the best placement of air vents and therefore steals quite a bit of space which is supposed to be for your plants because it develops too much negative pressure. The three squared "windows" at the bottem aren't really usable because too much light will come through. It's just gonna make your tent a hermie tent.

4/3/2023 - Day 36 Flower: Just watered yesterday so not much to report. The living soil bed makes this stage very easy. Basically, I'm on autopilot at this point. 4/5/2023 - Day 38 Flower: watered again today with 4 gallons, mixed with Jay Plantspeaker Quillaja, Rootwise Bio-Phos and Bio-Catalyst, BuildASoil Big 6 and BuildABloom, Fermented Peach Extract, and Coconut Powder. 4/7/2023 - Day 40 Flower: Plants look great and are starting to smell more. The Grand Prix #2 continues to be the stinkiest and has the most frost. Has a slight grape smell, but still too early to really nail it down. Both Grand Prix are showing some purple in the leaves as well. 4/9/2023 - Day 42: watered about 3.5 gallons today, mixed with ThermX-70, Coconut Powder, and Yah-Whey Thrive.

This week I did some LST on one of the magnums and left other one. The third magnum (the runt) is looking better after I trimmed the dead leaves off. It鈥檚 on 6ph flush, it is starting to show life. I think the soil was too hot and it got bad nute burn. My temp shot to 90 so I had to turn on the AC unit. It鈥檚 a daily struggle with temp humidity, but I think they are coming along nicely. Starting the Girl Scout cookies diary next week. They are looking wonderful !!!

馃敇 We鈥檝e wrapped up another week, folks! 馃敇 She鈥檚 officially in full bloom now 馃敇 Over the next few weeks we can expect another stretching also her buds to start bulking 馃敇 I鈥檝e begun dialing back the Grow nutrients and switched up my additives for this stage. Added Big Bud and Ancient Soil, both from Advanced Nutrients. 馃敇 No training was done this week. Since she was shifting into her bloom phase, I wanted to let her breathe a bit. She鈥檚 gotten very bushy which is great but I鈥檒l be doing a light defoliation in the coming week. Gotta keep insects and mold far away. 馃敇 Happy growing 馃挌

Day 72 - Trimmed em abit, took off some of the lower stuff.... they are happy.... haha nothing else to say, normal watering, the flush helped abit i think... Day 75 - UV bug zapper LED, posted afew pics of nighttime with the led, it's killed 10+ knats in the first day.... seems to be working.... :) Day 77 second day and it's killed alot more.... i lowered it, below the pot level... its got 3 modes- just led, just uv trap, and both uv trap / 10w led.... ...15+ gnats in 2 days.... *update, seems to work best with just the trap on, and led off, during night 12hr cycle..... i'm abit surprised, i didn't think it would work at all, see how the second trap works when it arrives..... 馃槑
