Everything going great, tents a bit warm but being able to fert and flush more often I'm loving it and so are the ladies.

Well I’m closing this one out. I had a lot of problems with humidity outside and bud rot, in hindsight i read a few reviews in the last few weeks and purple kush is susceptible to bud rot. I did 2 separate harvest, one on the 9th and one on the 14th. I collected everything I could smoke, there is still buds left on the plants but because of bud rot and immature buds I’m saying fuck it. Sonoma seeds quotes 9-10 weeks flower i harvested at week 8 and week 9. I harvested just shy of a pound total, and just over and oz of “purple” looking weed. Between you guys and i, the purple one was pretty shwaggy as far as bud goes. Would i grow this again outdoors? NOPE. Would i try it indoors? You will have to stay tuned for my next grow. If you plan to grow this strain outdoors do not do it. The fact that it’s pretty much 100%indica it does not like to get wet,🤦‍♂️🏻 if you are in the desert, indoors or live in Afghanistan (lineage) go for it. The taste is also not quite what I expected, all the reviews say grapes, but i taste a neutral taste. Some of it smells quite good in the jars but as soon as you smell each bud it smells like spicy woody herb with some dank undertone. Trimming it i had some sort of dank spicy smell i just can’t put my fingers on, except it was all over them. The buzz is “ok”but nothing to knock your socks off with. It is a stimulating feeling followed by a calm “not sleepy” feeling. I haven’t grown many outdoor variety’s but I’m sure most of them turn out the same. I’m waiting for my indoor no name to finish and I can start trying to redeem myself with my leftover seeds, and hopefully get the true quality/if there is, with this purple kush strain. im not training these at all im strictly watching them grow and studying how they are naturally. messing with the lights a little, and got some light burn on both plants cause the lights were wayy to close. but all that being said im recalibrated with the lights, added in the blurple light just because i wanted more specrtum. growth has been explosive. i incorporated fish shit into every feeding and watering this week and i love it so far.

Starting out great in the begining of week 3 we had a little accident in week 2 were her pot fell over an she got a little roughed up but she came back nice an strong can deffinetly tell she stalled out for a day or 2 tho other then that she's been growing great seems to be loving this fold 6 led from medic grow Ending week 3 the Tropicana Cookies is doing pretty good now she's not doing as good as the other auto but seeing how we had a little accident with her she's doing pretty good deff loving the cronk nutrients

I had a problem with the water pump connection and i think it hasn't watered in two or three days, so a marks appeared at some leaves (calmag deficency i guess). Now that the problem is solved it won't be worse. The flowering is really nice, its starting to appear the darker color at buds

I grew two plants of the FFT1 testers. I started them indoors in the spring during COVID19 lock down. The germination date was the week of March 25, 2020. I didn't start the grow diary at that time because I was having a really hard time coping with the COVID19 non-sense and I wasn't sure I was completely committed to properly documenting the grow. In the end, I think this grow helped me cope... ha! So I topped one FFT1 plant, and let the other grow 'native' with no interventions at all. Both were grown totally organically with no added nutrients. We moved the plants outside on May 1, 2020 into our home made greenhouse/trellis. I took a few photos but I was still not committed to documenting the grow. I wasn't even sure if the plants would grow well considering I hadn't provided them with any nutrients at all. In fact I felt like I was neglectful of the ladies LOL. It became clear to me by June that these plants were gonna take off... they were growing like mad! I realized that I really HAD to share what was going on in my back yard. Also, I had made the commitment to FastBuds, and I was sure they would want to see the plants. I started this journal as soon as they started the first signs of flowering. By the time the stretch was done Big Mama (my first FFT1 plant) was an insane monster at 10 feet fall. Little Sister (the second FFT1 plant) was a solid 7 feet tall. Big Mama had been topped and mainlined and holy cow she was HUGE with eight main colas. Little Sister had not been topped and she was less than half the size. The buds were beautiful as you can see from the photos. They weren't super fat, and they weren't super frosty, but they were like piles of spaghetti noodles with beautiful streaks of amber. There were bud sites ALL OVER. Near the end of the grow, as the buds were 99% ripe I started to see small spots of bud rot in Big Mama. That's when I pulled the trigger and started the harvest. COVID19 put a real damper on our harvest party, but we were able to call in a few friends from our 'bubble.' Big Mama's wet yield was around 2600g and Little Sister offered 1300g. I was totally astonished. I have to LOL any time I look at the numbers LOL. We trimmed all of Big Mama by hand, but lost our steam for Little Sister. Her trim was rough, and we will have to use our Trimbag to clear off some of the foilage... I adjusted my dry weight numbers to accommodate for this. We dried them in the mesh tiered dry racks for the first few days and then moved them into large paper bags. They are not quite as dry as I think they should be, and so I have adjusted my dry weight numbers to reflect this. Total dry weight for both plants is coming in at 2000g total which is around 4.5 pounds. We put a bunch in the vapes and had a whole lot of fun! The vibe is a solid hybrid offering lots of energy for chit chatting and talking shit. But it's not a racy energy... it's somehow relaxing at the same time. We watched Alone on Netflix and made out... while eating ice cream and chips LOL. I was properly stoned. Stoned as fuck. My eyes were completely red and Njaak was a squinting grinning mofo. He's saying it's his new favourite, and that's before it's cured. This bodes well! So we have put the weed back in paper bags for the cure and are excited about this one. The flavour... we are going with sweet with a bit of citrus, but I think we need a bit more time to let it cure before we could offer reliable data. I'll update more on that later.

Smell has increased in a good way. 2 of the 4 plants main colas are turning purple, very cool. One plant has yellowing of the leaves even though I stuck to fox farms recommend fertilizing schedule. There is. 4” height difference between the 2 taller and shorter plants. This week I put some books under the shorter ladies to give an even canopy height.

This week I topped each main cola at the 3rd node as usual and performed a selective defoliation to improve light penetration and airflow. From now on, I won’t be doing any more apical cuts. In a few days, I plan to introduce a scrog net to start guiding the branches and prepare for an even canopy 🌿💪

Outdoor coco 15g pots Progress: Lava cake is about week 6.5. Starting to ripen and get heavy. Buds are getting fat. Strong sweet cookie/ ice cream smell. Buds are getting more frosty. Buds are getting so heavy I installed a net on 3 of 4 and doing #4 soon. On my most mature plant - About 25-30% of pistils have turned color. Some trichomes are milky, none amber. Looks like plants are a few days apart. Marathon OG week 5 1/2. Still stacking and getting fat. Smells dank. Trichomes are showing up. The 20 gallon OG is growing into a monster. I’m still waiting for the heavy bud stacks…. Nutes: Bumping up ppm, the dry koolbloom and molasses, stopping regular koolbloom and grow. Looking to starting flushing the lava cake in a week or so. Feeding 2x a day; 3x on hot days. Weather: Had a good week of cooler temps until yesterday, when it was 97. Looking at hugs in the 80s this week, perfect. Pests: The moths and caterpillars are in full swing so I’m applying BT every morning. I’m working hard to reduce caterpillar 🐛 losses. We lost all of the top colas on a plant in another location 💔 . I’m only losing one bud at a time and not the entire colas so far. Wishing fat buds and monster harvests to all.

Start of week 9! The buds are really starting to swell and look more spectacular every day! The smell is intensely fruity too! I reckon about two more weeks and it’ll be time! Last feeding before flush!

The plants are growing into the sky like rockets cant wait till they start producing big buds, As you can see we also did alot of lollipopping to make sure the focus is on producing big buds

Did a medium stress training on 10/15 last few days of week 5 lowering main cola from 17” to 8”. Also dropped mid colas to 8” leveling canopy. 10/17 made some further adjustments as tops and fans flipped upright. Last adjustment 10/18 removed a handful of fans to open all bud sites. Noticing a bit of yellowing watered with 700 tds dr earth bloom. runoff at 6.5 ph down to 1100 tds from last measure of 1400+. 10/18 Added another dose of dr bloom runoff moved to 1240 tds 6.5 ph. Painting Happy trees hopefully. 🙂 10/19 pm let run off settle. tested at 1350 tds 6.82 ph 10/24 finished off the week looking good. nute deficiency in check.
