Crazy strain though I'm not exactly sure what it is. Smells sweet and bubblegum-ish, The second plant with the same genetics smells more like bubblegum mixed with a creamsicle.

Seems like this was a bubblegum variety strain judging by the smell and structure of the plant. I would recommend it, If I knew what it was.

Grow Questions

No matter how much PH down is added, my water naturally skyrockets back to a 6.4-6.5 because of the reused hydroton (regret reusing it) Should I let the water stay where it is, or should I continue to add more PH down every day? (I think this is damaging my leaves.)

So your PH keep getting high because you did not buffered the clay balls (hydroton) at the right PH before you start your grow. Clay balls are rarely pre buffered so each time you plan to use them save a week to buffer them properly. Now that you are in you can't go back so continue to give some PH down , it will slowly buffer the clay balls until you reached a PH that did not fluctuate like that. An other possibility would be your fertilizer: maybe it is a formula that lead to PH fluctuation. Your leaves could be affected by the PH but also by your very low RH : 30% is for the last week of flowering 😊✌️🏼

Bananas are forming on the top of my buds. I am aiming for 50% cloudy 50% amber. Should I pluck the bananas off? Let them be? How would anyone else go about this?

Hi, it depends on what you want^^... most time Growers want to get weed and not seeds... then you have to pick them away. If you want to have nice seeds from your plant ( because you like that strain) let them be. I had a Hermie plant, i took away flowrs around 4 times and she gave my a nice harvest.. no seeds. But i noticed them early, before female flowers started.... in your case it diferent. hunting "bananas" and your plant can go on flowering.

@OutForReal provided sound advice. I guess you’ll just slug it out this grow. Though I don’t grow hydro, I am a swimming pool professional and I understand water chemistry, so I offer this. We can manage water with chemicals from a numbers standpoint, but sometimes end up with a high level of TDS, total dissolved solids, and that makes balancing quirkier. You knew what went wrong, and how to avoid it in future. Enjoy this harvest as best you can and keep at it!!

@OutForReal, Thanks for the kind words. Back atchya! If I still lived in the Carib I’d find a way to grow outdoors!! It’s simply magical...you can almost watch the plants grow!! Germinating seeds now to get a head start on outdoors here on the 35th parallel. The sun is strong by summer but it’s not the same. I think the biggest difference is soil temp. Here we’re in the 40/50s in spring. Carib soil temps rarely are below 70. Cold roots grow slowly
