Purple punch auto Harvested! Everything went fine and was an easy growing season for me. I’ll come back and update on the dry weight result :)

What a beautiful strain Orange Hill Special is, nice and bushy, great internodal spacing, sturdy and healthy. Happier and happier with how this grow is going. The less beautiful parts on top are my doing, my blind as a bat FIM destroyed half the top of the plant. More patience next time... The super soil is still performing great and I´m pushing up the dimmer to get the ladies used to more light, very carefully because leaves are folding every time. Some of you might be happy to find my European recipe/shopping list for super soil. I tried to make it with widely offered products throughout Europe. Feel free to use it and elaborate on it. If one product is not available in your country, please check the brands at the bottom, which might be available in your country, and substitute. The only thing one could add to the recipe (which I did but forgot in the shopping list) is some Epsom salt. Fed them again with my permaculture tea, all seem to flourish and smells are starting to come from the plant, with that same distinct dankiness I had in earlier grows with this tea. See the germination page and other diaries for more info on my Perma tea. Now they were big enough, some might even say too big, to start the real training. I always love to give them a little bend the week before, to get used to the idea. With some sterilized bamboo sticks I pushed the plants down to expose their sexy undersides. Hey guys! Thanks for stopping in to check out my babies! This is week 2 of flower (days 8-14). This week things really seemed to take off! 🔥 Plants were happy all week long and seemed to grow almost an 1” per day if not more. Buds are developing nicely, no smell yet but nice to see them stackin’. I cut out anything under the trellis that would end up being popcorn buds so the plants could focus on the main colas. Hoping I’ll just have to pull a few leaves here and there from now on. The New Floraflex drip system has been nice! 💯 It has made watering easier and more automated. Water distribution isn’t perfect but I’m sure they aren’t 100% level either. Plants should stop stretching after this next week and should start putting on some size! Stoked to see what these girls can do in week 3! Day by day break down: Day 8 Cut out some lower growth/ leaves blocking bud sites Day 9 Fed all 6 plants. PH: 6.11, PPM: 1136 Day 10 Plants look great. Let them do their thing. Day 12 Fed al 6 plants. PH: 6.05, PPM: 1264 Day 14 sitting at 29” tall right now. Not so stressed on height being be issue. Thinking they might be around 35-40” tall at the max. Stay tuned for next weeks post to see how much these ladies have thickened up!

13 weeks from seed and still no sign of flower . At this point I believe this is not an autoflower at all. She was planted the same time as my lambs breath and they are on their 6th week of flower today . If anyone has some knowledge they’d like to share that would appreciated

Opium is missed already, she was my favourite (the other half) and she was brilliant. The outcome section of the diary will not load properly so I will mention how delicious she is right here, it seems insulting of the plant to finish off the diary in the yellow… Opium was a pleasure to grow, she was flawless, she provided me so much therapy and she was strong. The only issue was the moisture in the end but every plant in the garden eventually became victim to the bud rot and she held on as long as she needed. This beauty was not infected by any other ailment and she seemed to home many white spiders along with ladybugs, which is a good sign that she was worth being protected by nature. We can’t even imagine how she would have been if she had been planted in the cover crop bed, it is hard to picture her in a bigger or better form then she actually was. As you can see she had the wash and there wasn’t any waste, we have already pressed some of her in the dab press. Opium has a sweet fruity skunk scent and she tastes exactly the same. To say the least, we are very much enjoying her on a daily but we have been doing that since the day she sprouted. Our wet weight is an estimate due to scale issues which don’t cause us any concern. Believe me when I say, she deserved a green faced diary for her harvest log.🤷‍♀️🏻 💚✌️
