Week 5: Transplant Time & Root Power! Oh man, this was one of those weeks! We transplanted all five phenos into bigger pots, and let me tell you, they’re thriving! (Check out the complete video episode for all the details 😉). The girls are looking amazing, all pretty much the same size for now, so I don’t have any favorites yet—but let’s see what the future holds! For photos, I used both my Nikon P900 and Sony A6000, with a bunch of lenses and filters to preserve the true colors—these LEDs are powerful! Current Setup & Conditions This week, they’re still chilling with their sisters in the big tent, but in about a week, they’ll be moving into the TrolMaster ecosystem for even better environmental control. Watering: pH 6.06, EC 0.96 Temperature: A bit cold , but it is what it is. Let’s go deep on roots! The mycorrhizae in the Pro-Mix soil has been working its magic, and I’m still boosting them further with a touch of Aptus Holland Mycor Mix. The root development on this transplant was insane—super white, healthy, and ready to explode with growth. What Are Mycorrhizae? The word “mycorrhiza” comes from Greek: • Myco- meaning fungus • Rhiza- meaning root Mycorrhizae are a type of beneficial fungi that form a symbiotic (mutually beneficial) relationship with plant roots. However, in modern agriculture, excessive tilling, chemical fertilizers, and fungicides have reduced their populations, making supplementation necessary in many cases. How Do Mycorrhizae Work? Once mycorrhizae colonize a plant’s roots, they start forming an underground fungal network called the mycelium. This network extends the plant’s reach into the soil, acting as a second root system. Another good week. Knock on wood. The plants responded very well to drop in the nutrient level. This is the first and second week of the flower cycle. And starting to get some white hairs. They are girls! I decided they needed a haircut and did some major defoliation today. There’s some pictures before and after.

I just changed the solution on FBT 2401. She was showing deficiency signs. I figured it was time to change it and try a little lower tds. She has been growing regardless. She just isn't thriving like I prefer. Everything is going okay overall. Hopefully my issue is now resolved and She will take off. So she 'only' grew 3cm this week. That's not bad considering what she looked like a week ago!! 😭 She's pushed out a lot of new green growth this week. I hope she's also building a strong root system below ground. 💪

The Dwarf has definitely strong genetics. I recommend it for newbies that don’t have a lot of money to spend on growing kits. Yet, I wish I could have grown her under better lights (75W is CLEARLY not enough). I’m sure that the yield would have been a lot bigger with great lights. But it was a great grow : this dwarf convinced me to continue ! I’ve chosen seeds with bigger yield potential for the upcoming months (Blackberry and Gorilla Glue from Fast Buds). 11/21/24 Short facts: - Watered: 1 x 1.0L, 1 x 1.5L, 1 x 1.5L, 1 x 1.75L — 5.75L - VPD @ 1.4 — raised by 0.1 - Light @ 80% ~700 to 1050 PPFD - BioBizz Bio-Bloom increased to 3ml/L - BioBizz Bio-Grow increased to 3ml/L - Getting colder! At night between 18 to 19°C --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There isn’t much to report this week. She’s doing fine, but she might need a little more CalMag and nitrogen. So I’m giving her some extra CalMag and a small amount of bonemeal. Since the weather is getting quite cold for the region - and we’ve already had a bit of snow - the cellar where my grow tent is set up is cooling down, with nighttime temperatures dropping to 18–19°C. Therefore, I’ve ordered some heat mats, which should arrive tomorrow. I’m aiming to stabilize the root temperature at around 22°C consistently, so the nights won’t be too cold anymore. I’ll go into more detail in next week’s update.

The plants are looking good and are drinking around 0.5l a day of ph6.0 water and are now getting BioCanna Veg, around 3 drops from a tablespoon to sart with. On 7th day of flowering we removed lower little branches and made some lollipopping on the plants. Also we made some defoliation on gelatos cause they were very bushy but almost removed only biggest fan leaf. As plants were bigger enough we started adding granural mineral NPK 12-18-23 1 g/L and CalMag Xtra by advanced nutrients 1mL/L to the solution.
