Everything seems to turn around this week. My grow didn't go well and also a lot going on in our lives. That's why it took a while for the diary to get back on track. Sometimes all we need is some good news and this came two-fold this week. First I woke up to see my favorite coin go through the roof (go Shiba) and later to be surprised by the doorbell, with a bigger surprise: my prize came in!! A great care package by the guys of @Fastbuds, thanks so much, and totally enjoying it! It really made my month. So to find my girls thriving this morning is the third gift in a week that keeps on giving. My soil recipe combined with this great light, the SP-3000 by Mars Hydro (thanks so much @MarsHydroLED) are the reasons all is getting better even with this runt girl, the sole survivor of a pack of 5 Expert Seeds Gorilla's, bought at Zamnezia. See my soil recipe on the germination page if you want to see how I do it or create it yourself. It is unreal how much it aids recovery in severely stressed plants. If you live in Europe, I have accidentally stumbled upon and elaborated on a European Master Mark and Subcool Super Soil recipe. The problem is that Ocean Forest soil is very hard to get by in Europe. Also, some of the amendments and tea mixtures are sold only in the US. After searching online, asking the guys that make Atami and other organic medium specialists I have made a recipe that comes close and definitely matches the super soil recipes we all have seen. So please use it to your advantage. Ask me anything if you have a hard time finding stuff you need and don't worry it works excellently without the permaculture tea as well! So see how she is going back to thriving, in a couple of days after replanting. Instead of stress, they are recovering. Another proof this soil is the European answer to Supersoil. The snow is really coming down out there. Big fat flakes are piling up on the ground, and it doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon. I guess that means no outdoor plans for today. Might be the perfect day to get cozy inside with a warm drink and a good book The pound cake auto plant is growing like crazy! I'm so happy to see all the progress we've made. Yesterday, I finally got around to tying it down – it's amazing how much more stable it feels now. I can't wait to see what this plant looks like in a few more weeks.

All ladies are doing well. Did a few LST of them a few days ago and letting them de-stress before I start to defoilation process. Drinking up like a storm and bushy. Very healthy 🌿💚

Gave her water last night and plan for shut her down sometime this week. Today is day 84 from when she sprouted.

Weeks 9 and 10 have marked a significant transformation in the garden, with the flowers flourishing beautifully. The plants are truly booming, and it’s rewarding to see the buds developing into compact, dense nuggets, signaling that we're on the right path. During week 9, I decided to give the plants a boost with Canna PK 13/14, applying it just once. This seemed to have paid off as the buds have responded well, showing signs of vigorous growth and vitality. I also took the opportunity for a big defoliation this week. Admittedly, I was a bit lazy the previous week, but the plants needed the extra attention. Removing some of the larger leaves has improved airflow and allowed the light to reach more buds, enhancing their development. As I look ahead, it seems likely I’ll be harvesting next week. The trichomes are starting to turn milky, indicating that they’re approaching peak potency. Before that, I’ll make sure to give the plants a thorough flush to ensure the cleanest flavor and smoothest smoke. Overall, the garden feels healthy and vibrant, setting the stage for a successful harvest ahead. Looking forward to what the next weeks will bring! Thanks @fastbud for the great strain

10/29: flowing on autopilot At this point. I did not have to do anything with them this week. They have recovered from that terrible stress from a massive defoliation. The smell is not very strong, but of you get close to the buds, they smell pretty bad honestly. Lol. Its a weird smell. Bot sure how to describe it. Kinda like a bitter chemical. Hopefully that is not the end result of the terps. I am very disappointed now that i did not get one of the really purple phenos. The clones are doing great and have been potted in 1 gallon pots. Not sure i end up keeping any of them now that i know i do t have the plant that i wanted and i al not convinced that i will even like any of these yet.

End of Week 7 CO2 is definitely increasing growth rates but also changes the game with controlling your environment now that it has to be sealed in order to not waste CO2 unnecessarily. You change one thing and it adds many other variables to keep everything in check. I am learning everyday and that's why I grow. The trellis net is doing its job and the canopy is looking nice and even. I also added a soil top-up and top dress of some BioBloom and Mycorhizae so it can start breaking down before I flip to flower next week (Slow release dry organic amendments). And the ladies are using up nutrients in the soil much faster because of the added CO2 (another variable to take into consideration - faster growth = faster nutrient consumption) In detail: -Carefully removed trellis netting -Ammended each plant individually with my soil mixture and nutrients -Placed them back in the tent -Reinstalled trellis netting and trained the ladies to shape Pest Report: Thrips VS Ladybugs... I decided to fight fire with fire - I purchased Swirski-Mites from Koppert (They are beneficial insects that feed on the eggs and larvae of thrips and other unwanted pests). As for the adult thrips - I got very lucky and found about 10 Ladybugs in my garden and decided to introduce them into my grow room as they will feed on adult thrips and any other unwanted pests. I did not spray any insecticide this week and it really seems like the ladies are happy with my new method of bio-warfare and are wilting less and less often

CHange Thursday One at back still showing signs of nutrient issues

New week! Tips and help from last week, I had around 1500 ppm and I did flush my roots in water and change everything. Now is around 1000 ppm and dropping 150 ppm a day. Did read about water level in DWC and how to increase the grow with water. I had the water almost up to the root or the level of there the basket is. Now I have 1-2 inch (2-5 cm) below where the roots come out. This create air roots. I'm not sure if it's the air roots or the ppm but my flower is boosting. Can se buds grow!! Trimming so I can keep the same hight. Have any tips or rekomandation? Only have one question for next week and this is: it's looking a bit thigth between the buds and all of the leaf is cristal on it. Should I cut some more leaf? And what leaf should I trim? Is so thigth in there. Or will it grow fine?

At the end of flowerweek 1

Muy buena genética, me quedé con el pheno 1, ya que tenía más resina y un mejor terp para mi gusto. Buen híbrido no te deja superaplacado y ofrece un efecto cerebral eufórico.

Not an overly impressive strain and I would say she was not that hard to grow. If I even grew this one again I would let it go naturally with some LST. Wanted more grape flavours but they don't really come through in the smoke. There's a bit of a sharp fruity smell that's sort of piney with a hint of fuel at the end. The smoke is not too flavourful in my opinion but that just means I didn't grow it well. Super tight nugs so be careful with humidity as stated above. Also she's a bit of a light feeder so be careful with your nutes. As you can see I burnt her tips and over fed her a lot. Not a bad yield though! I've only really smoked the lowers on this one so far so that gave me a bit of a racey high, just slightly racey. I would accredit that to the lowers not being mature enough at chop. The plant is super dense and since I mainlined it the lowers didn't receive enough light. I tried to let the lowers mature more but the plant stopped maturing when I chopped the tops, this caused stress and the plant just shut down basically. Not sure if I would grow Blimburn's GDP again until I grow the real GDP.

This week went pretty well. I ended up attaching a line to each corner of the plant, and tying it off to the pole in corner. This really opened up the plan, and exposed a bunch of lime green that wasn't getting quite enough light. Other than that, I switched to ripening nutrients for these last two weeks or so, and I plan to flush her for five days or so. I am thinking about 2 and a half to 3 weeks until she is ready to come down. Temperatures are getting high again in my region, but I am able to hold about 78 degrees F in the tent, and about 42% RH. Not much to do until harvest time, just wait and hope that piglet continues to fatten up. I hope everyone had a great weekend, stay safe and Blaze On!
