Watermelon Emoji & Pamellowz

GeezandDraht Week 1 🌿 After just 24h all 4 seeds had popped out of the ground and had lost their seed vessle, perfect. We changed the light schedule to 18/6 and kept the dome on for another day, after that we removed it step by step. First day: dome tilted, second day: removed for 30 minutes, third day: removed 3x30 minuntes, fourth day: dome off. On day 5 we watered for the first time with 50ml of plain water for each seedling. And it already gets exciting: it looks like we got a mutant again! Pamellowz #2 seems to grow two plants out of her seed, she has a tiny twin!🤓 we already saw that she seemingly had two taproots after germination, looks like each of them wants to become it's own plant. Have you ever seen that in one of your grows?🤔 For now we will keep her like this and see how she will develope. We might need to plug the little one later on. See you next week for updates!💚

GeezandDraht Week 2 🌿 The second week has gone by and the plants are looking good. They are now coming out of that sensitive first two-week phase. Pamellowz #2 is showing a weird mutation. It seems like she does not develope a second pair of leafs, but is instead growing a tiny antenna. A few days later we could see some new growth, looking like maybe two pairs of leafs? We decided to pop another seed but keep her for reasons of curiousity.🤔 They got watered with 50ml on day 8 and 100ml on day 10 of plain water (ph 6.3). On day 14 they got their first feeding, using 50% of the Athena Week 1 schedule, with 320ml per plant. Ph 6.3, EC 1.6mS (PPFD: 300, VPD: 0.8) See you next week! 💚

GeezandDraht Week 3 🌿 Hey Guys! Week 3 has gone by and here are the updates: The ladies are developing well, even our mutant is doing fine and decided to grow on like a normal plant, just with two heads. The plants are looking healthy, especially Pamellowz. Watermelon Emoji seem to be a little more finicky, showing a lighter green and some rolled up edges, propably due to VPD swings and warm temperatures with up to 30°C on some days. Pamellowz are on the left and Watermelon Emoji on the right. We fed them on Day 18 with 310ml each, using 75% of the recommended dosage, pH: 6.3, EC: 2.06mS. On Day 19 we transplanted the plants into their final 19 liter fabric pots using a 50/50 mixture of Biobizz light mix and coco mix with some White Shark Mycorrhizae mixed in and sprinkled some directly onto the roots. Then watered them in with 300ml each (again with 75%). The mutated Pamellowz only got half a pot, because we didn't have enough soil for 5 plants, as we planed for 4. GeezandDraht Week 4🌿 Welcome to week 4! This week we got some work done😁. On Day 22 we fed the plants with 4.5 liters each, using 75% of the recommended dosage by Athena, pH: 6.2, EC: 1.96mS. Run off: pH: 6.3, EC: 3.02mS. We still have some VPD swings due to high outdoor temperatures but it will get better by the end of the week. On Day 23 we topped the ladies. Watermelon Emoji got topped above the 5th node and Pamellowz #1 above the 6th. The first node got removed on all four. Pamellowz #2 (the mutated one) didn't get topped, as she already has done that herself early on. We decided to leave one more node on Pamellowz, because the Emojis seem to be the more stretchy plants with bigger internodal spacing. To reduce hight differences later on we left one more node on Pamellowz. Also we increased the PPFD to about 470. VPD still 0.8, because of the younger Pamellowz #3. Day 28 was training-day. We did some LST on the four bigger plants using tent pegs. This will increase lightpenetration throughout the plant and help to spread out the growth by rearranging the shoots around the pots. This is especially necessary as we won't be able to put in a trellis net, as we need to move the plants in and out of the tent for watering and working on them. During that process we decided to top Pamellowz #2 as well, as she was putting all her energy into her two main-stems and didn't push her lower shoots up properly. Pamellowz #3 got transplanted into her 19 liter pot with some Mycorrhizae sprinkled directly onto the roots and watered in with 4.5 liters of 75% nutrientsolution. At last we increased the PPFD to 570 and the VPD to 0.9. We can say by now that Pamellowz are the bushier plants with less internodal spacing. They look very pretty, symetrical and also seem to be the more resistant plants, showing no deficiencies and a healthy green color. Watermelon Emoji seem to be a little more sensitive to VPD swings or higher temperatures. Inbetween the two of them Watermelon Emoji #1 is the stronger plant by far. She pretty much exploded in growth since she got transplanted, has the thickest branches and biggest leafs in the tent, growing very vigorously. Watermelon Emoji #2 on the other hand has the thinnest leafs and branches, as well as the lightest green in the tent. She has shown the most deficiencies and is also the only one without roots at the bottom of her pot by now. Both of them have bigger internodal spaces compared to Pamellowz and are likely to grow taller. Luckily we got two LEDs and can adjust their height separately. That's it for this week!
