Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!

All good, buds are packing on weight. Feeding will be 3 times this week, afterwards it should be enough nutrients in the soil till finish. Smell is getting stronger, i like the scent! It’s not skunky more fruity and minty. I removed the lower fanleaves. Maybe I will cut the Upper fanleaves at the end of the week. We will see. I will update over the week. Humidity over nights is constantly above 80% currently. I have no idea how to get the Lady in a more dry environment… so this is a real test concerning her mold resistance… And the hours of direct sunlight are going down towards 4h soon… it is a race against time… Wednesday: today it’s windy. Added a video. Friday: a lot of pollen from the trees around in my buds… maybe I will try to pick the shit out of my beautiful flowers… The buds getting bigger… maybe i will harvest end of next week to reduce the risk of mold….

Aug 1: she’s doing great after two weeks of force flowering. In dark garage at 9 pm, few seconds of 730 nm far red light and out of garage at 7 am. This gives 10 h of darkness plus 2 h of ‘virtual’ dark by initiating dark mode faster. Like having a 26 h day which is a great trick if you have daily access to your plant. Added another scrog net layer that is clipped to the lower net that is tied off to 500 g weights which holds things apart to let sunlight in. Hail net was out for a brief hard rain, but no hail this time. Aug 7: check out the graphs showing how the last 90 days compare to historic data. This year was a bit warmer than average but with record rainfall.

Super tropical vibes in this bunch!! Each one has such a unique smell and flower structure. I really neglected the hell our most of these plants given the tiny 3 gallon container and arid conditions - however these plants were resilient. Crystal Light x Pelee Sword stands out as gassy pungent strain covered in trichomes. (Purple Haze x Malawi) x pelee sword was also very note worthy. Very citrusy/floral notes, airy bud structure but surprisingly very resinous. Super stoked and thanks again DaDankSeed bank for the genetics and pointers!

Well this was my second seed I had too pop as the very one did not germinate , so she is 1 week behind the rest of my garden , but thankfully this pip popped within days , very excited about this one as I've never seen let alone smoked red bud before eeeek !!

Now we've reached day 25. We are in the transition phase, pre-flowering if you want, when the seedlings reveal their sex by showing the white fluff or the boyish balls. What to say about this week? For starters LST was started this week. Initially I used garden ties but soon after replaced them with 6” garden staples . 2 of the 6 girls began throwing pistals resulting from the LST starting around day 15 YIKES 😬. The Zkittlez & the Runtz both from (Expert Seeds ) began giving the 5x5 its first smells . The LST so far has been a pleasure no ooosy daisies so far & the girls are showing what they are made of . The secondary shoots have great potential to form a nice round bush that I can train out into an even-as-possible canopy . Today is day 21 & day 20 for this bunch . They are only using Gaia Green dry amendments for feedings but I decided to take some advice given to another grower & supplement my girls with some compost tea . NO I DONT THINK THEY NEED ANYTHING ADDITIONALLY IM REALLY HAPPY SO FAR WITH MY NUTES bbbbuuuuuttttttt in the short chance that my ladies may take a liking to an occasional tea & reward my pampering with large , long , frosty, stacked cola’s . . Thennnn I’m supplementing , I consider this all “4-play” for my ladies Ik a giver 🤷‍♀️😭 My only concerns are racing against this clock to get as much size & solid structure before flowering sets in I’ve really got my heart set on a certain outcome & I’m one for a good challenge. Finally , atleast as much as I can remember, I increased the dimmer knob on the light from 65% to about 78%. I won’t increase the watts any higher until bloom sets in fully & at that point I’ll be turning it to 100% raising it a maybe 6 inches & watching patiently for my girls to start praying 🙏 to it .
