So far so good. Keeping it simple

I found an awesome strain with four seeds and tested three of them. The smell was pure vanilla gas—super stinky and strong. Phenotype 1 was the best, with amazing density and a frosty look. It was a heavy yielder too, giving over 7 ounces from a 1-liter COCO. The terpene profile is incredible, tasting just like cookie dough. Would I grow this strain again? Definitely! I even saved a clone. I'd rate it a perfect 10/10

I defoliated a lot of the under canopy today so I could move the scrog net upwards. These girls just had to stretch and stretch their legs. And, yes, the smell on my fingers after handling them was intensely citrus. I only gave them a little water this week as the air has been very moist and the soil has been damp enough.

Shame but it is what it is 🏝️

In general, similar to the autoflowers, we collected at most a quarter of the total volume. We'll take it back and do the trimming on site. Of course, you're interested in the numbers. In total, there were 14 trips to the plot. Mostly, we focused on weeding and foliar treatment. We harvested approximately 15 plants (10 autoflowers and 5 early bloomers). Altogether, we filled 4 containers each holding 6 liters. Each container fits 350-400 grams, which means there's about 1.5 kg in all the containers, plus a 2.5 kg bag of good trim. Approximate yield per plant (inflorescences with a small amount of leaves!): Early bloomers: around 150-200 grams per plant (we didn't collect the fattest buds because, unfortunately, they got moldy, so the numbers are approximate). Autoflowers: around 70-90 grams per plant.

11/9: I took some photos and added a 35w 3500k LED to the top section and have it pointed towards the backside of one of them and my little Stardawggy. 11/10: Today, I super-cropped about 10 different mains and branches on various plants. The canopy is now much more even. They'll be ready for a feeding tomorrow. 11/11: I fed them all about 1/3 gallon each with big bloom, tiger bloom, beastie bloomz, cal-mag, bembe, humic acid concentrate, myco/tricho, signal, and a little grow big. 11/12: I spent a couple of hours tying down branches and tucking leaves to get more light down into some of the plants, and rotated the edge plants. 11/13: I rotated the edge plants and added a TNB Naturals CO2 enhancer to the closet. I raised the thermostat on the ac infinity to 86f, so as not to exhaust it all, but with the cold air intake, it's rarely even coming on anyway.👍 11/14: Their buds are swelling up nicely! I fed them again today because I'm still seeing some signs of potassium and phosphorus deficiencies. I went 1/2 strength with the grow big, but full strength with everything else... 11/15: Last day of week 6 and I'm happy with their progress. I plucked off the dead shit and tried to reposition some of the lower branches to get more light. Took some photos and shot some budporn video..sexy ladies!😍

7/3/25 Topped her twice since the start, also started to bind her down for even light distribution. Feeding at 50% strength (lucas formula) and keeping the ph between 5.7-5.9 only adjusting if it reaches 6 and more. Can't wait to flip 7/7/25 All good. The only thing worrying me is the roots turning a little brownish, no smell tho. It might be the micro or calmag, its my first time doing dwc and if anyone has an idea let me know! 7/10/25 Roots, PH and PPM! She is recovering well from another topping. The smallest plant in the tent but damn the smell on this one. Can't wait to flip in a week or two. I hope I will get a really nice pink flower out of this pheno, but I have another few seeds for a little pheno hunt I can pop in the future.

Week 4 update - through the first week of the stretch and all is developing well. It’s really only the one strong male that’s started showing significantly. Most of the females have trace pistils and are still rapid vegging as expected. Every plant continues showing excellent hybrid vigour and there are literally zero noticeable deficiencies. Currently, the count is at about 2/3 males + about 2/3 indica dominant fem phenos. We took clones of everything female this week so that we can bud em out proper in the dutchy cabinet once the pollen subsides. That’s where we’ll get a real look at the bid quality👌. They’re all quite young at only 3/4 weeks from seed but still look hardy and strong. Rigged up a new drip ring delivery system so that we could take off for a couple days and make watering easier for my mother in-law. Anyone wants the skinny on those, just throw me a dm - super easy design and save a ton of cash and time. All told - were well on our way to the final finish of this generation and the punnet squaring should be interesting once we’re done. End of the day, the grower in me is just giddy for the next cycle. Finally gonna have the option to grow a bunch of different fems for a shit ton o bud👍👌💪. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts. Week 3 Veg Nothing has changed this week nutrient wise. All of the Surf Purp siblings are looking very happy and healthy. I usually try to have them transplanted into their next pot around day 20, but seeing as their next pot will be their final pot I'll leave them a little longer. Even though I'll be using fabric pots I don't want them to get too root bound too soon before flower. Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺

10/8 - going along steady. I'll take few more glam shots later. 2 MONTHS. It may not look like much but I'm proud of these 3. This is probably the healthiest tent I've had since I started growing inside. I just want them to fill out the net a little better before I flip. 10/10 - trellis training is underway. Between topping and this, I should have a nice, full canopy this time around. I've estimated about 72 squares in my net yet only about 35 or so colas forming. Wondering if I should really I push this one or quit while I'm ahead. One thing is for certain, Moby dick is responding much faster to being topped than GZ. Every stem of Moby I've topped has grown lower shoots aggressively and quickly. Gz has been far slower to respond. Noted. Can't wait to see these things bud. But patience is a virtue here. If the veg stage is any indicator, the buds going to be phenomenal.
