DAY 71 F: Well a day overdue for the update but I have been a busy fellow in the real world. The Girls scout cookies have dried enough to be considered for jarring. They have finished so perfectly and so damn tacky too. They smell of sweet candy after a lollipop lick. So nice. I have been taking samples the past week of so and drying them . temptation won.lol Idont expect a huge yield from their size but the quality is bang on the money. The Amnesia haze ladies are so so close now . They are rock somid still and have really packed the trichs on , a little swelling has been noticable but not the second flush of pistils I was hoping for. #1 and 2 are going to be left until day 77 at least , so another week but the #3 lady has got to go into the dark period now I think. She was the girl I confused as a gsc too so had her dragon force very early in that respect. Seeing how faded out she has got during the last week has helped drive the decision to get her out now. She will be in the dark for 48 hours then trimmed for drying. They will all be fed just water now to use up the remaining nutes in the pots to the end. The critical cheese is in mid flush of her newest pistils and thankfully is swelling nicely due to that fact. She has a really fuel/ nail polish heavy aroma at present but I can smell the sweet tang too. She looks like her yield could be a good one for what looked like a gangly specimen for the past 12 weeks. Lol . One of criticals finest qualities I think. All in all a good week for the ladies if not a calm one. Let's see what next week brings. Be safe and well growmies.

Posting this as I’m on the last few days of the 3rd week from germination Great progress, a lot of roots for such a short period but not too much plant growth, will start watering daily instead of watering every 2-3 days Topped the girls today (Day 18 from germ) and starting to do mainline on all the Bubba kush.

Three weeks into flower and things are moving along. I defoliated some of the lower branches and spread out a few branches here and there. Other than that it's the same situation as always. Nutrients are pumping and lights are beaming. Everything is running smooth and all is well with the world. Like some namaste shit going on around here at the moment. Could very well just be the calm before the storm...

Ladies and Gentlemen — we’re closing in on the harvest window! 🌿✨ This run has been particularly fast, as we’re only at day 70. The plants are nicely stacked, and I’ll let them ripen right up to the last minute to hit around 20% amber trichomes — aiming for those dense, sticky nugs. 💪 By the way, the smell is amazing. Dec 28 - Both plants are close to harvest. Had 5.5. hours of darkness after 24 hr period to prevent budrot developing. Also moved plants inside tent moreso, and closer to fans. Dec 28 - Watered healthy plant today at 2PM - I'll chop unhealthy plant tomorrow, so didn't water, instead inspected trichomes. Dec 28 - Unhealthy Plant is showing amber trichomes, but also clear - Unsure if I should chop tomorrow or not. Dec 29 - DAY 73 - CHOPPED - Trimmed larger fan leaves (accidentally trimmed a sugar leaf or two) and harvested to dry whole, upside down. I'm hoping for a half ounce per plant. Dec 19 - 11.50PM Trichome Calyx' were observed, there are new calyx' appearing. Calyx' are swelling. Dec 30 - Plant developing more senescence and calyx are swelling. Dec 30 - Trichomes are still clear, but I'm seeing some PM develop so I think I'll chop tomorrow morning. Dec 31 - Nice Senescence occurring, Happy to have left it this last day. Accidentally left temps up to 78F for a half hour. Dec 31 - Decided to push another week as per feedback from GD member. When watering I noticed she was perky after 3 days w. no water. Interesting and likely the frequency I'll continue watering at. Dec 31 - Watered at 9PM. Jan 1 - Removed small fan leaf with signs of PM at the base. This defoliation should help with airflow. Checked newly formed calyx' and they're clear enough not to document. Jan 2 - Buds are developing nicely, calyxes are noticably swelling nicely too. I see some green pistils appearing in the lowest buds. Clear Trichomes. Jan 3 - Watered at 8AM. Woke up to 90F temp. Unfortunately they'd been cooking for about an hour. Jan 3 - DRYING UPDATE - I'm seeing fluctuations in the drying room between RH 49% and 70%. As of 3.10PM @ 61RH after adding jars of water. I want to maintain this RH. Jan 3 - Senesence looking good, calyx' are continuing to swell. Will inspect trichomes tomorrow at latest.

Following med-teks feed chart. Feeding heaviest nutrients (2.7 EC) runoff currently just over 3.0. Going to need to do a small flush to and start reducing ec prior to actual flushing phase. Advised by my local hydro shop to reduce EC down to 1 before hitting the plants with the heavier nutrients. Only started applying this method 2 weeks ago. Seems to be ok. Would appreciate some opinions but!

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. 11/18-11/25 The buds are very dense and covered in trichomes. The sweet berry smell I mentioned a couple weeks ago has mostly gone away. It smells different now. I dried and vaped a sample bud. Very potent. As of now, the trichomes still aren't showing they're ready for harvest. Some clear, mostly cloudy, no amber. Tent temps are averaging around 75-77 in the daytime, which is higher than I'd like. The humidity is good at around 45 average. 11/22: After putting the trichomes under the microscope, I'm making the call. Harvest day will be 11/24. This morning I turned the lights off and am going to give them 48 hrs of darkness prior to harvest to increase terpene production. I've never done that before, and suspect it's a myth. 11/24 will be 69 days of flower.

Week 5 of flower and the ladies are still trucking along. Nothing really new going on. I did a little defoliation this weekend, just to clean out on the bottom. I did place the middle plant on a box to get her canopy up about the same height as the other 2, or close to it. =)

Schwerer rückschlag: sciarid larvae (trauermückenlarven) haben die Hälfte der seedlings angefressen. Nur die Pötte, wo neue pflanzerde drin war, wurden verschont. Diese Mücken legen ihre Eier in feuchtes Substrat und die Larven fressen Keimlinge und junge wurzeltriebe... klassisch Pech gehabt.. tausche jetzt die Erde und setze das dritte mal an diese Saison. Das Zeitfenster für automatics ist noch groß genug 🙂 Aufgeben ist keine Option.

We cut her early due to a block off in the autopot system.. but she was frosty as a mofo for being cut way to early and the taste was surprisingly very sweet with a piney/spicy kind off aroma and taste

S2 beans are looking good. Will probably chop this weekend (so week 9 day 1-2) testers are good. Still feeding pk just slightly less so adding ph down again. I have stopped using ph down in flower as the soluble pk brings water down to 6.7 and beautiful. Nugs are pretty huge. Feels well above 30%.
