How is it growing, my fun(k) loving friends? ***INFO*** For more on my setup, why it was monster cropped, and how I made the canopy, see Germination page and subsequent weeks. They had 48 hrs of darkness, and the time has come to say goodbye to my friends. I thanked them again, spend some time with them, and under the sound of Amazonian shaman's harvest and healing songs (will post link), asked for their gifts, and apologized for taking their lives. I do this while in contact with the plants, touching, smelling them, observing every detail, no thoughts, just in the present moment. I feel emotional as I do this and remember how they were a companion, a source of distraction in a time of worry, sadness, and loss. How they already comforted me and kept me company in a time of painful insights about honesty, commitment, and staying true to myself. I thank them again for their wisdom and gifts, viva Santa Maria, viva Planta Maestra, may the mother of all beings give us healing and protection. And I proceed with the harvest as I visualize my intentions with every cut. Branch by bud laden branch is tenderly untangled from the scrog net, taken with a clean-cut and immediately hung upside down in the grow tent, which will now double as a curing and drying room. A couple more weeks and we will have the final cured and dried weight. More photos and movies will follow, this is where we are so far!! Big hug, lots of love and take care! ***UPDATE*** The final weigh-in is ready. I hadn't seen them in a week, because of my vacation. The humidifier I set up, had failed. So the grow had dried in 7 days, what I wanted to be 14 at least. Thankfully, its Sativa ancestry shines through, the smoke isn't harsh, the buds a sticky and smelly, no hay smell at all. We ended up at 246 grams, excluding a shitload of larf and popcorn bud, totaling at 310 grams all in, a first at a gram per watt for me, but for the Zambeza seed competition, I stated we would only weigh the quality bud. Overall I'm very happy!! Guessed weights in the competition: - @hashy : 0 grams - @MrHyde : 198 grams - @JamMAKEcan : 224 grams - @TrickOrTrip : 260 grams - @Greeneysgrow: 312.5 grams - @Ohey_fu_kyu: 350 grams - @Puffs4Pipes: 385 grams - @Hempkid : 605 grams - @DoDrugs420 : 621 grams TrickorTrip was closest!! Summary: Cost of setup: 850 euro Cost of nutrients and soil: 125 euro Cost of seeds: None they were cloned Cost of power: 150 euros in the power bill Total cost: 1125,-- for setup and this run. I smoke for medical reasons and it's used for ritual and healing purposes, never to be sold, as it loses its magical properties. Should I have to buy Gelato of this quality at the dispensary that I frequent, it would cost me at least € 15,-- per gram. 246 x 15 = 3690 euros. also, 49 car rides of 25 miles there and back, 250 euros in gas saved. Overall conclusion: I think we can call this a succes. Made back my investment, my cost per grow and we saved the environment. Thanks for all the love, tips and support! WEEK 1 - 23/7/2021 - 30/7/2021 My 6th grow! I've managed to finally build a reliable RDWC system. It has been put on hold for nearly a year now. My primary concern is flooding when I'm not around. Another if there is any blackout affecting the water/air pump.  I've had the system on test run for a week now and it has been fantastic. No leak whatsoever! I'm so glad I decided to go with all PVC pipes and bulkheads rather than using vinyl tubing for the waterfall outlet. So far so good! Can't wait to transplant into the system. :) 20/7/2021 - 2 packs  of Harlequin seeds from Weedseedexpress (5 + 1), 12 seeds soaked in 10ml/L of Nitrozyme for the next 24 hours. 21/7/2021 - All 12 seeds transferred to paper towel and soaked with Nitrozyme and placed in humidity dome. 23/7/2021 - Only 5 out of 12 seeds germinated. But all 12 transplanted to small rockwool cubes, soaked with Nitrozyme mix water then placed in humidity dome. I accidentally cut one of the cotyledon while removing the shell.

Great week again...work effort was like 3h whole week...only had to refill NS (+-20L every 2 days) Buds getting fatter every day...no brown pistrills yet so budgrowth is still in full effect PH was very stable again, 6.1-6.2 all week EC fell slighty before refilling NS I think EC 1.3 could be a bit too much for them...leaves are quite darkgreen and they start to get nuteburn on tips...but i'll leave it at 1.3 for the rest of the grow I decided that i won't exchange NS completely anymore...will leave it be till i replace it with pure water in 2 weeks (will be a 3 week cycle then) Roots look great + i put in 15g of TNT Bactorr, water temp is at 20-21° so no need to worry about rot till the end of the grow i think

WEEK 2 - 31/7/2021 - 6/8/2021 1/8/2021 - 1L of water mixed with the following: Cal Mag - 2.5ml/gal - 0.7ml Micro - 2.25ml/gal - 0.6ml Gro - 2.25ml/gal - 0.6ml Bloom - 0.6ml/gal - 0.2ml Rapid start - 1ml/gal - 0.3ml pH - 6.07 EC - 1.03 mS.cm T - 26 The 4 seedlings are still showing signs of growth but the leaves are droopy and has malnutrition issue. I really hope they get back on track with the new nutrient regime. 2/8/2021 - 4 seedlings transplanted to larger 3 x 3 inch rockwool cubes to allow the seedlings to establish its roots first before transplanting to the RDWC system. 6/8/2021 - 2 plants are relatively normal looking but the other 2 looks deformed. I'm quite unhappy with the seed performance thus far. Poor germination rate, inconsistent genetics and weird phenotype. I wonder where Weedseedexpress sourced the Harlequin seeds from.

Out of 12 seeds only 4 properly germinated and even that is showing issues. I don't have a good feeling about these seed genetics. I'll give another week to see the growth response.

Thc bomb started a flush and fade yesterday. Working its way to a finish. Smell is very pleasant and I am looking forward to the harvest in 2 weeks. Start of week 8 and the lady developed nicely. Buds are getting more compact. Leaves are already frosty. First leaves getting light green, yellow. I will feed the lady with BioBizz nutrients to see, how she will develop. Harvest getting closer and the first pistils get brown. I think 3-4 weeks left. Keep in touch ! Cheers, HighZenBerg

Rainy week, no need to fertilize or to water the plants. The are growing fast and very tall, despite it should be small one, the tallest ones are from seeds I found in my Baby Boom last year that could be a good explanation. I give a bit more of fertilizer and I started with the Boost + for the flowers.

hello! We are nearing the end, the flowers look good and feel like they are getting fatter towards the end. I'm still fighting the heat and trying not to exceed 30 degrees in the closet. Compared to the previous plant I harvested, the current plant has less pollen but is more compact .. I wonder how the differences will feel to me. The pH of the water ranges from 5.8-6.2 and in addition to relieving the heat I cool the water to 20-25 degrees. The lighting is on maximum (250W) and I lowered it to a distance of 45 cm from the top.

The grow is going great for my first time however I have made a lot of mistakes up to this point but the Gurlz are still thriving.

Good week , no issues to report. The Gelato glue are almost there. Starting to see a few amber ones & 90% 9f the rest are cloudy. The 5gallon are fatter & a bit more advanced than the 7gallon one. The Gelato are bigger but are a few weeks behind. The plastic pot stayed wetter and is more leafy than the fabric one. Still to early to say which will produce more or better buds

She's changed a lot in the last week and flowers have opened right up! On 8/1 I got some spent hardwood substrate blocks from a local mushroom farmer and crumbled them around the base of each plant, including the autos. Hoping the mycelium can get in there to work their magic in the last few weeks this girl has, not to say she has anything "wrong" with her, just looking forward to a good harvest! Other than that, there's not much to report. She was fed & watered 2x this week since we've still been getting consistent rain and I don't want to overwater.

Hello guys I’m sorry that I missed one week, the last week when she turned pink! Day 101 - harvest day, I had to wet trim my plant because i have problems with the humidity, it’s 98% rh outside and raining like hell. I haven’t invested in a dehumidifier yet didn’t think I had to use one🤦‍♂️🏽 Day 103 - day 3 drying Day 104: today I hade to cut the buds from the branches because my rh is to high hahaha! 😃 Day 105: I put my buds to jars today. I had a total of 124g trimmed buds! Day 106: had to put my buds outside the jars for 12hr for now to start with, had them over night and rh was 70% in the jars… having them now for drying again in 55%-60% rh
