Grow Diaries: Week 9 Veg - Mentha de Croco Mutants Hello, Grow Diaries fam! 🌱✨ Week 9 is here, and while our mutants are small, they’re undoubtedly mighty in beauty and character! Each plant continues to showcase its uniqueness, with details in the leaves that are nothing short of art. As always, patience is the key, and these beauties are teaching me that every step of this journey is worth it. The Flip is Coming! After much thought, I’ve decided to flip the entire room to a 11/13 light cycle. This means it’s time to identify males and let the females show their true potential. Here’s the plan: • Why Flip Now? Despite their smaller size, flipping now allows the plants to reveal their sex while keeping the room’s progress synchronized. This way, I can focus on the keepers and remove the males efficiently. • Revegging the Favorites: By flipping and selecting now, I’ll be able to reveg any standout females later. For those unfamiliar, revegging is a technique where, after flowering, you revert the plant back to a vegetative state. This method preserves genetics you love and allows you to grow clones or expand the line further. 👉 Benefits of Flipping and Revegging: • Speeds up the identification process without needing clones first. • Lets you preserve special traits in the plants. • Adds flexibility in managing space and time. Environment & Nutrition This week, I’ve maintained a steady environment: • Temps: 22°C with about 66% RH. • Nutrients: Continuing with the Aptus Holland lineup—Regulator, Start Booster, and CalMag Boost. The All-in-One Pellets are still providing slow-release nutrition, and the plants seem to love it! Watering from the bottom remains my go-to, helping keep gnats at bay while ensuring even root hydration. The Photographer’s Eye Once again, my Sony A6000 has been in action, capturing the stunning intricacies of these mutants. There’s something magical about zooming in on their delicate details, seeing the interplay of light, and appreciating every curve and serration. Pro tip: The right lens can make all the difference, giving you sharp, breathtaking shots. Shout Outs & Gratitude Big love and thanks to: • Terpyz Mutant Genetics for these incredible seeds! • Aptus Holland for keeping the nutrients dialed in. • Pro Mix Soil for giving the roots a cozy home. • TrolMaster for perfect environmental control. • Future of Grow for the endless inspiration. • Grow Diaries for hosting this amazing community. Week three of flower is off to an amazing start! At day 22, the ladies are looking incredibly healthy. They're praying like crazy, reaching for the light, and stacking nodes like it's their job. The buds are starting to plump up, and the trichome production is getting intense. I'm so excited to see how they develop over the next few weeks!

📓 GrowDiaries Log – Day 2 FERMAKOR BASE SYSTEM – KOH VERSION ⚓ (Batch #1) Good morning gromis 🌞 Gray weather in Berlin today, but inside the bucket things are moving way faster than expected. Since yesterday the reaction has already chewed through most of the biomass — what’s left is almost pure liquid now. That shows just how strong this mix really is. Observations: Foam and breakdown happening super quick. Smell has shifted — not as strong as day one, but nastier. Ammonia edge + chemical note, with some earthy undertone. Definitely effective, it already looks like a nutrient product instead of scraps. Safety note: Should only be handled with great care, don't be like me lmfao, wear goggles gloves and a hazmat suit if available, note I did use full gear when I was mixing it. 🌱 Reflection: Honestly, it looks like something I could have bought off a store shelf. Impressive how fast KOH eats everything — it already feels like a usable base. I’ll give it a week to see if it finishes eating all the solids, but most of it is gone already.

Day 28: I have started into week 4, and im curious when the first sights of flower begin. i decided today to cut down my bags, because the lower branches didnt had enough space, maybe this is even the reason why they are so bushy. lets see how this is working now, i bet it will be much easier to water them now. i also cutted one leaf, because it had sunburn because of waterdrops i didnt recognized. The smell is getting also stronger, but still couldnt figure out which plant smells so nice. it is a very nice and fruity mixture. i also decided to Stop LST through binding and bending. i will just Scrog it soon, that should do the part. Day 30: I hope the Temperatures wont drop anymore. had a night with 10.6 °C. The Pineapple Express and StrawberryGorilla did not liked this a lot. But Blueberry, Northern Light and Weddingcake seem to be stronger against the cold. I watered them a bit today, and will also stop giving to much fertilizers. maybe i will skip one Week of fertiolizers, and start again when bloom is starting. Day 32: i think i was again not patient enough. I will just keep them watered until they start to bloom. Will install a SCROG net in a few Days. My worries: 1. I think my Pineapple Express and the Strawberry Gorilla really didnt liked the cold Days. There were Temperatures about 10 °C in the nights. The PE seems to be stunned a bit. The others are developing gut actually, but i hope to have warmer climate soon. My happies: The Red Mimosa is still developing great. Also the Northern light is growing pretty good, and they dont show any sign of struggle because of the low temperatures. My biggest is 30 cm (Red Mimosa), the smallest is my pineapple Express, its only 20 cm so far, but still growing bigger somehow.

KINDA DISPPOINTING THIS TIME. REALLY TOUGH TO GROW OUTDOORS. JUST SO MANY VARIABLES NOT UNDER MY CONTROL. ALL THE GALS WERE GROWING AT DIFFERENT PACE. ALSO I USED A DIFFERENT SOIL THIS TIME. SO THAT COULD HAVE EFFECT THE GROW. I SHOULD REALLY JUST GROW AUTOS INDOORS WHICH IS WHAT IM USED TO. I TEND TO VEG PHOTOS OUTDOORS THEN BRING INSIDE TO FLOWER. SAVE MORE ENERGY. BUT THE PROBLEM IS JUST BRING PEST INSIDE THE TENT. ALWAYS SOMETHING TO BATTLE. MORE I DO THE MORE I LEARN. STILL FAR FROM FINISH. NOT A GOOD HARVEST THIS TIME. I'LL SAVE THE REST AUTOS INDOORS NEXT TIME.

Day 66 from seed for these Pineapple Runtz Autoflower 🍍 The resin is starting to stack up, I'm just waiting on the color to really come through. The smell is sweet as you would expect, overall these plants have done well with whatever I've thrown at them on top of the grow dots. This pack suggests 70-80 days from seed, I expect these to do every bit of 80. Very excited. What do you think?

Last week was very challenging, two girls got really tall below the white light, while the other two below the blurple spectrum ended up being smaller and bushier, both looking fantastic. Last week I also probably went too far defoliating the shaded smaller girl which stunned it a bit for a day or two but its flowering vigorously again. Although the unexpected stretch which led to uneven light coverage overally the platns are looking solid, smelly and sugary :)

Solid week, she's growing well if I look at a week ago but I'm too impatient 😆. A look back at the week that was. After a trip to my local hydroponic shop I picked up grow bags, SCROG net, Growrite AandB formulation (Dutch apparently although wasn't on the drop down list here?), CalMax and LST tie. Day 19 I did her 3rd and final transplant to 20L grow bag. She didn't seem to suffer from it but will definitely plant into final bag from the get go next grow. It's too stressful on me LOL. Moved my grow tent out of garage and onto patio area as we've had a spell of hot days >35degC and the shed roasts. Wife isn't happy bout it but my girl appreciates it. Introduced CalMax and Growrite into her fertilising schedule. Trying very hard to stick to a watering/fertiliser schedule giving her nothing every 2nd day as suggested in comments (thank you!). Also started LST and at day 21 it's looking like some medieval torture scene! Would like to know people's thoughts on the LST, have I gone overboard? While I'm asking what is the latest consensus on topping Autos? Most people here seem to go for it but a number of vids on YouTube say otherwise? Also I was watching a video that suggested a great way to promote root growth is to starve her of water I.e. let her go dry for prolonged period (>4 days?). What are people's thoughts on this? Anyone tried? I am hoping for big growth in week 4!

Hello guys, hope you are doing well. happy to start a new grow into my Ninja Bundle and what a grow : Bubba Slush from GHSC. It all started well the seed germinate in 2 days, you can find the tutorial and video on my IG profile of course. The plant is doing well 2 first leaves are out, no nutrients for the moment i will start it in 2 weeks only once she have reached a good size and anyways for the moment the nutrients in the soil are more than enough. I got many messages about the first leaves of your grow don't worries they are always weird like your first steps when you are a baby. It's not an issue and not a sign of a weird plant just be patient and the plant will grow nice leaves very soon. Take care all Sawyer

👉With each day it grows a noticeable amount. Its staying short and the leaves are actually touching the media on the lower set. Its actually on its 3rd node, and i will probably top it on the 4rth. I lowered the light from 36 to 24". This week i will lower it again to 18". The plant is short but its growth is still vigorous enough. under the leaves there is vegitation emerging as well. I like the fact that its staying short, I will probably need every inch of of my tent so the longer its stays short and grows like a bush, the better. 👉Im doing the week 3 nutrient schedule for another week because week 3 is the highest levels of grow nutrient. My EC target is 1.7 and is near the high end of the recommended range. I usually start with 2 gallons and then mix and pH the batch. If the EC is high I then ad pHd/calmag/ArmorSI water to lower the EC to the desired range. Im feeding 1 liter of nutrient solution and the runoff is an average of .6l. I give this 2x a day. The EC is slowly creeps up over 3-4 days and when it gets to 25 to 30+ EC I use a liter of rinse solution before the next fertigation. the rinse solution is same water source as the nutrient mix, (RO water at 5 micro-Siemens from a medical grade RO unit) with Armor SI and Calmag pH's to 5.9. The machine isnt at my house so I mule the water in 6 gallon water carriers. Eventually the plant will be big enough that more solution is needed at each feeding. During the Critical Purple and Hindu grows, the EC would actually never guild up because the plants were absorbing a lot of the nutrients. I will gauge the needed inflow volume of nutrient solution by the amount of run-off. Currently 1 liter is what I determined is the minimum needed to keep the coco wet and buffered. As the plant absorbs more water the drain off will decrease. I will target 20-30% run-off from inflow volume. EC value also determines inflow volume but to save on mixed nutrients I like to precede a feeding with the rinse solution if the EC is too high. 👉I disinfect the water jugs 1 time a week with 1% bleach. I disinfect my nutrient solution dispensing jugs at each batch mixing. My watering can and measuring vessel, I rinse with the H2O2 spray at each use. 👉To help keep the grow clean I have a 1 gallon garden sprayer filled with water and 60ml of H2O2. The recipe is usually just 30ml/gallon, but I wanted it a little stronger. I spray the exterior of my cloth pot once a week to rinse of the build up nutrients and prevent mold, mildew and green fungus. I also use the spray to disinfect the drain trays as I swap them out after a feeding. I have a couple dozen white wash cloths that I use to help clean and dry things. I use fresh wash cloth each day, and keep everything as clean as possible.
