Hey now, this week went pretty good, the buds are about done bulking up, and just waiting on the trichomes, I was really hoping she would be about ready, but I think she needs another week to week and a half total. The buds are rock hard, and super sticky. I have no clue what she will yield because the colas are not that thick, but there are definitely alot of them. I plan to squeeze her into rosin, and hopefully I can break the 25% mark for the first time with her, but we will see. July 20: 31 inches with a 16 cola manifold 👍😎. Definitely growing fast and has now pulled ahead of the 16 cola Bruce Banner Fast which is at 30 inches. Hot again today so a bit more water and a couple of mistings with hose water to cool off a bit and provide some humidity. One tomato plant that I realized had a potassium deficiency responded well to a potassium silicate foliar spray. You can learn some cool stuff growing dope. July 24: still growing fast and maybe starting to pre-flower which is fine cuz I’m starting the force flowering in a few days. This is just 12 h of darkness to get this photoperiod to start flowering. Yes, it’s a photoperiod plant from Fast Buds. And it’s awesome. Did another lazy compost tea which is just 5 gallon pail of water that’s sat out overnight to degas, two handfuls of mature compost, some molasses, kelp and Humic Blend, and finally a couple handfuls of shredded coco coir to give the bacteria some where to attach and grow. Leave overnight, maybe stir a couple times, but that’s all. 24-48 h maximum as you don’t want it going anaerobic (and stinky). After tea, she and the other girls got a nice top dressing of barley and Power Bloom with minor amounts of oyster shells (for calcium) and Azomite for trace metals. These are bloom nutrients in anticipation of the start of flowering this weekend. This has been the hottest 90 day period ever here in Edmonton, and lots of other places too.

Day 50 - Starting week 8 and have been impressed with how this girl has been producing. Not as “thick” as she could be but still looking like pretty tight buds. Will be giving her a feeding of nutes tomorrow. Day 51 - Thinking this girl might be getting kind of close to harvest. About two weeks or so maybe. Looks great for a mutant. Gave her a full feeding of the foxfarm trio today. Day 52 - Gave the girl a pretty decent defoliation today to try and maximize the light to bud sites. Don’t know how much longer she’s got, 2 weeksish is what I’m thinking but not gonna harvest early. If she needs more than two weeks, then I’ll give her more time.

So she was chopped (wet trimmed) yesterday (F74) and is now hanging up to dry at 55% RH and temps between 15 and 18ºc. I made fresh frozen dry ice hash today using a 160 micron bubble bag, a flat surface, 8kg of dry ice and a couple 5 gal buckets. I already have the weights for that, which far exceeded my expectations. Those figures I will post once she is dried and in 1 quart screw top glass jars. People suppose dry ice hash is inferior quality vs bubble hash. I am not experienced enough to comment on that but must say it is extremely easy to make hash with dry ice, it took 40 mins to process 995g of trim which included sugar leaves, some stems and popcorn buds. I then pressed it into 3.5g briquettes for storage using a pollen press. As you can see from videos, this stuff is all blonde - and after already trying some today with some friends, it knocked our boots off! Will be back in 5-7 days with harvest figures, smoke analysis and other details! Happy growing all! Apricot Auto FastBuds W10 F7 12/7-13 12/8,13 Ph 6.5 PPM 190 65,9f water only. I am flushing Apricot 1& 2 with Ph 6.5 water. They are ready. I removed the remaining fan leaves. I took pics and videos and trichome shots. #1 is the short gal with very dark purple leaves and still pushing more calyxes and fattening her buds. Her trichomes show many amber and milky. These really ripened fast compared to last week trichome pics. I hope I didn’t miss the opportune time. #2 has mauvy pink buds with green leaves. The trichomes don’t show as many amber tops as #1 but I will water/flush once more then harvest them at the same time. Stay green, growers love 💚🌿 💫Natrona💫

Ok week 6. So putting my eyes to the plants and found out that, we have 1 confirmed female. I named her "Shiori"! There is one unknown sexed plant and three (mostly) confirmed males. Shiori was the one I wanted to be female due to her indica leaning leaves. I will take some cuts of Shiori before I flip. Sunday update... I decided to put these plants in the flower tent with their sister (Falda) who will be harvested in a few weeks. Depending on which male shows some vigor, I might keep his pollen to possibly create f2's to pollinate three females (Bratz, Falda and Shiori) Wish I could document all the grows I have going on right now but it's alot. Sunday update: I decided to move the five plants into one of my flower tents. Shiori was cut for clones (4), the rest weren't cloned because of assumptions of 3 males and 1 unknown still. Another AC infinity oscillating fan was added to the tent they are in. More updates soon.

Another healthy week

The Blumats are pretty much dialed in after a few days. I used 5ml of flying skull Z7 enzyme in my 5 gal reservoir to keep the reservoir clean. I also have been ph correcting the reservoir every morning to 5.8-6.0. The first day of week 4 I hand watered in Nutrients mix until runoff(about half gal). I removed the large fan leaves on all three plants, then I tied Down all my Mains to keep them horizontal. I applied another half gal of Nutrients mix on the 4th day of week 4. On the 6th day of week 4 I experienced a runaway with my Blumats because I changed the settings too much at once and flooded my grow box. I used a shop vac to suck up all the runoff. I refilled my reservoir, added enzymes and lowered the ph to 6.0. I then dialed in the blumats based on Blumats instructions and will only adjust in micro adjustments this time to avoid another runaway 😬 Luckily running in Coco Coir having the girls over saturated wasn't the worst thing and the roots are sucking up a lot of the extra moisture in the medium happily 😀
