Evening ladies and genitals, this week is amazingly better than the last few weeks. Reasons are: 1. i upgraded the fan in my grow tent. Its tall and oscillates. 2. I’ve figured out how to get the vapor from the humidifier directly into the tent as you can see in the video. As the extraction fan is running 24/7 it pulls in the air from the only open air intake hole pulling in the vapor. 3. I repotted from the teeny tiny pots into 2 litre pots with Sohum Living Soil. So I've upgraded the soil type. For a beginner like me this releases a lot of internal pressure from worrying about the nutrient deficiencies. With all that said the ladies have responded great. I’ve started to weigh each pot to guage how much water is being evaporated so i dont overwater. Some issues remain on the leaves from my previous overwatering but I’ve learnt that the damaged leaves will stay damaged. You can see the tips are hella bent in 1 pic at the ends. Hopefully it will be OK for the new leaves at least. I cut off damaged leaves on 2 of the girls but left the others. I want to see what happens when they are left to grow naturally and mindful of the fact that if defoliating at not the right intervals will stunt their growth . I will do LST but at the moment i cant cause they're not really big enough yet. Till next time, peace out. 420 right around the corner!

Ok so I put a significant amount of time into this grow. Learned a ton (everything lol) as it was my first. After the final week, I decided to harvest when the trichs were milky and clear. Few amber here and there but time constraints meant I had to chop a bit earlier than I’d have preferred. I do prefer a more uplifting cerebral effect yet realize with an indica leaning strain, having all cloudy and maybe 25% amber would have been πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ. My drying process began by chopping a plant at a time, I washed the buds to get the PM or traces off (also grime from outdoor city air). I used a big bucket and did hydrogen peroxide. In heindsight I would have used baking soda as well and did a two step wash. After washing them, I hung to dry with a fan until they stopped dripping then into the tent they went for drying at roughly 68 degrees and 55% humidity. I staggered the harvest and wet trimmed about 70% of the time with the latter 30% dry trimmed. This was done for convenience and to try both ways. I dried everything for about 12-13 days until the smallest stems snapped and the larger ones were borderline cracking. I started jarring everything with humidity meters, about a half oz per smaller widemiuth jam jar. The smell was never hay-like but did vary in strength and scent from plant to plant. Almost no seeds which was pretty great to see. One of the outdoor plants had quite a few seeds so I kept that separate. It ironically had the stinkiest floral smell. So what’s the total!! After curing in jars for about a month, I weighted everything and came out with 10.5oz of cured trimmed flower and about 2 oz of sugar leaf trim which I am making canna butter with and cooking. Made some reduculously strong cookies: 11 cookies from about 10 grams of trim. Ate two and was medicated for about 24hrs πŸ˜‚. Some of the buds were super dense and cured down to 58 RH easily. There were a few of the large big buds that had mass but less density and fewer trichomes. These were more red-hair visually than the others. The smoke: surprisingly smooth. The effect is energizing and uplifting at first, with a nice sedative body feeling on the second half of things. Overall, I’m super happy with the result. Learned a TON and will be modifying my approach a bit next go-around this spring. Stay tuned!!!

THURSDAY 7/18: I FIM'd her today. She's growing quickly now.. but looking at her, I'm still not so sure it wasn't really a spinach seedπŸ˜‚ But seriously, I'm thinking that I used too much Mycotrex or Great White while she was still too young or something. Her roots were looking awesome when I transplanted her, but she's got some weird-looking foliage.. FRIDAY: Inspected for pests and repositioned her in a spot that gets another half hour of sunlight per day. I sprayed the area with Ortho again and bought a little air bubbler to aerate water for compost tea.2 SATURDAY: She put on a couple of inches since Thursday. I mixed up a fairly weak batch of Big Bloom and Grow Big plus some Kelp Me Kelp You and douched her with about a half-gallon right as the sun was coming up. I also prepared a foliar feed using Big Bloom and Kelp Me Kelp You and sprayed her well as the sun came up, and again after it was going down. I also started aerating 4 gallons of water today...will add the compost tea tomorrow morning and let it cook for 24 hours. SUNDAY: I foliar fed her and sprinkled little more Silicium Flash on top of the soil of all my plants and mixed about 4 grams of Bactrex into a jug with 3/4 gallon of bottled water and douched all my plants with about 2 pints each. That should really get the beneficial bacteria and fungus kicked into overdrive. I started brewing a 4 gallon batch of compost tea today. Since I don't have any Orgatrex, I am using a little Big Bloom, Kelp Me Kelp You, and Grow Big in the tea in addition to the PK Compost Booster tea from Bi Tabs. I'll add Mycotrex to it about 2 hours before it finishes and thoroughly dowse them all tomorrow morning. MONDAY: She got about a a liter and a half of freshly brewed compost tea and a foliar feeding right after the sun came up. She's a happy camper.πŸ‘

03 January - 09 January 06 Jan Kush del Arriero: Good Size, not that frosty as the other two, but good enough. Choco Cookies: Some buds are starting to get a decent size, small buds but frosty, maybe it'll give me something after all Banana Cake: Some buds on the top are starting to look a bit burned I think, that or it's getting some reaction to the purpinator, or both.

The preflower stretch has been incomparable to any Soil grow I've seen! These sativas already caught up and don't show any signs of slowing down.

Day 0. I got new light and tent from Mars Hydro, so maybe ill make it in time for two rabbits ;))) Bubba Cheesecake challenge started ! Light is great, has dimmer, in user manual youll find distances, so TS1000 is great grab for starters and CHEAP ! Again was imaging way lower quality from photos. Tents are great help too, plus i really think they are great bargain for price. Last couple years without any major issues. Happy Growing !

Mena continues to blow me away with her sexiness! Sparkling away, the buds are so beautiful. Light green, purple, white, orange, yellows, all coated in a thick dusting of trichomes. The smell is moorish, a sticky sweet aroma of mandarin infused fuel! Continuing the flush, not long now for this foxy lady! Love, the doctor

~ FastBuds PAPAYA SHERBET Photoperiod~ Well here we go on another journey together through 'Canna-land' and this one's kinda special... forget that, it's VERY special because this is FastBuds newest surprise for the community, a FEMINIZED PHOTOPERIOD STRAIN!🀯 I was fortunate enough to score these seeds, of which only 1000 were available and can't wait to see what this strain can do! This Papaya Sherbet, according to FastBuds, is a hybrid with a 9-10 weeks flowering period. For a more detailed and accurate description of this strain the following from FastBuds says it best: "Combining the massive stature of Papaya (Oni Selection) with the strength and resilience of one of our best keeper cuts (Sunset Sherbet), this strain develops into a big, expansive bush adorned with numerous bud sites that later transform into a generous harvest of medium-sized buds. Papaya Sherbet flowers deliver a signature flavor of premium cannabis with subtle citrus undertones that emerge upon inhaling. During growth, her aroma makes for a sweet yet pleasantly bitter fragrance, giving you an idea of what the smoke will taste like. Notably stress-resistant, Papaya Sherbet is a great choice for growers working in challenging environments. She is very forgiving and rebounds quickly from any adversity, allowing growers the freedom to experiment with confidence that she will take everything like a champion she is. This strain embodies resilience, flavor, and abundant yields in every grow cycle." Sounds like an epic strain and I personally cannot wait for this lady to strut her stuff!😍 ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Setup: This is going to be an outdoor grow, but I have started the Papaya Sherbet photoperiod indoors as our weather is still a bit too chilly to put a newly sprouted seedling outside (nighttime temp's dipping regularly into the 40's℉). The plan is simple... let her grow inside under a 19/5 light schedule until the nighttime temperatures are in the mid 50's℉, which shouldn't be long. After which, she'll be moved outside and transplanted into the soil which I have already setup and inoculated with beneficial microbes from BioTabs and slow release dry amendments from Gaia Green. Once she's established herself outside she'll be given periodic top dressings of Gaia Green 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 along with worm castings and Compost Tea's. Her grow area is approx. 5'x5' and I have posts and a trellis net set up already for when she gets bigger to aid in training her. Let the fun begin!πŸ€ͺπŸ’š ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 6/24- The FastBuds Papaya Sherbet photoperiod is now going into Week Seven from seed and is going strong! She has definitely increased her height and continues to sprout new growth! Her color and vigor also remain excellent having gotten past her early episode of getting her leaves chewed on. Today I top dressed the Papaya Sherbet photoperiod with 2 cups of Gaia Green 4-4-4 along with 1 cup of Down To Earth Bio-Fish 7-7-2 and 1/2g of Wiggle Worm castings. After top dressing and working the amendments in by hand I replaced the straw coating over the soil and watered them in with 3g of straight well water via garden hose as usual. 6/26- Our summer is here and we're under an early heat wave this week with daytime temp's hitting the mid to upper 90's ℉ with heat indexes in the low 100's ℉... in short, IT'S FNG HOT!πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ I'm watering the FastBuds Papaya Sherbet photo daily now with 5g of straight well water from the garden hose. I'm watering at sundown so that the water will have some time to soak down into the soil before the heat evaporates it. The coating of straw that I previously spread over the soil around her base has helped a lot as well. 6/28- Our weather is HOT now with heat indexes over 100℉ so I'm watering the Papaya Sherbet photoperiod every day with 5g of straight well water from the garden hose in the late afternoon once the plant is in the shade. Other than the ever present leaf hoppers, which love the leaves but leave the flowers alone, and an occasional Japanese Beetle, there aren't any serious pest issues currently. The FastBuds Papaya Sherbet photoperiod continues to have excellent color and vigor, continuing to add new growth and increase her height, it seems daily! 6/30- The weather continues to relentlessly bake everything outside... And so, the daily watering continues!🌱🚿 Another healthy week for the FastBuds Papaya Sherbet photoperiod and I hope to see many more ahead! Thank you for checking out my diary, your positive comments and support make it all worthwhile! πŸ’šGrowers Love!πŸ’šπŸ˜ŽπŸ™
