Here’s a deep dive into this exciting and educational week: The “Flush” in Full Swing The flush continues as we prepare the ladies for their final days. While we’re a week or so away from harvest, the plants are responding beautifully, showcasing stunning fades that highlight their unique genetics. This fading process is a critical part of the journey, helping the plants naturally finish their cycle while preserving those complex terpene profiles we all love. The Mold Incident: A Teachable Moment This week brought a challenge—a few buds succumbed to bud rot (Botrytis), particularly on the Papaya Zoap and a single bud from the Gorilla Melon. While disheartening, it’s a reminder that mold can occur even in the most well-maintained gardens, especially with dense colas and a full canopy. After a thorough inspection, all affected buds were removed and discarded to prevent the spread. A quick note to all growers: defoliation plays a massive role in airflow and prevention of such issues. This is why mid-flower defoliation is a game-changer, and I’m grateful it kept the rest of the garden healthy! Papaya Zoap’s Unique Quirks The Papaya Zoap continues to be a star of the show with its frosty buds and… albino tips! These tiny white tips are likely from being too close to the lights. While it’s a cosmetic detail that doesn’t affect quality, it’s a fascinating display of how genetics and environment interact. A Frost-Filled Wonderland The room is absolutely glistening with frost. Trichomes are piling up like snow, giving the entire garden a magical wintery appearance. I genuinely believe the ThinkGrow LEDs and TrolMaster spectrum control deserve a shoutout here. She just keeps impressing me every day. The buds are getting supper thick. Really starting to pack on some weight it seems. There are plenty of white hairs and getting lots of crystals. Gladly nothing negative to report. Each main bud is about 6 inches long (or deep) by 2 inches wide. All the leaves have a really good deep green, some are getting a little shiny near the top. She looks in great shape and I’m very impressed. Don’t have much time to fuss over her and she just keeps doing her thing! Cheers!

These 2 are growing bushy both have the same kinda structure. Everything is healthy as it could be right now. The heater made such a big difference I couldn't be happier with how these are growing at this point hopefully it keeps up. Been removing fan leaves here and there but I'm trying to hold off until day 21 and I might give them all a pretty heavy leaf strip. I read something saying defoliate heavy on day 21 and 42 to increase yields so I might give that a shot. These lights are the real deal I got a meter and even tho I barely know how to read it I'm getting much better canopy penetration and the flexibility of having 4 separate units instead of 2 is going to come in handy. Soon I will put all the shorter plants on one side and tall on the other and adjust the lights accordingly. Week 8 update on these purple beauties. They are super close to being finished. They'll be getting the chop this week and put into the Cannatrol for the dry/cure stage. The smell is so sweet and intoxicating. All in all Happy

Update from last week that I forgot: I gave her a final feed at 75%... WEEK 25 DAY 1 ... omg... 😂😂😂 It really took me half a year to finish this one... unbelievable... 😅 Well, so far I'm still super happy. Everything seems to go just fine but I'll never do this again..haha.. (vegging under a 50W bulb xD)... Soooo... looking at the trichs, I think the harvest window has just opened. There's still a lot of clear but the cloudy ones are starting to come and there's already a little amber on the leaves. I suppose I'm really close to harvest now. I'll be flushing her next time for sure. First, I'll feed her a low nutrient solution, maybe around 25% and half of the usual water quantity because I'm not that sure about when she really finishes so she dries out more quickly. Next, I'll use Grotek Final Flush right before I'll chop her down. I don't want to use this right away because last time my plants were dying a bit too fast so.. not to be repeated ;) Getting impatient now. Hopefully it will be a White Christmas...haha! DAY 2 Gave her one last feed at 25%. Poured only half of the usual water quantity. Left the BloomComplex totally aside because she seems like she's doing a little 'clawing'. Maybe there's too much Nitrogene? Trichs are beginning to get cloudy, with a little amber in between. I'll flush her with plain ph'd water tomorrow probably or should I wait some more days? What do you think? I'm never sure when the time is right... :/ DAY 3 I just took some more pictures with a macro lens attached to my iPhone. Seems like the buds in the middle do have way more amber than the other ones around which have swollen more compared to the ones in the middle but have less amber. The last days, I didn't check the ones in the middle so I changed my mind. I just flushed her with Grotek Final Flush. I'll wait for some hours for the solution to break down the salts and then I'll flush again to get rid of the flushing solution. I'm also gonna switch the timetable to 8/16. (16 hours of dark) and I'll drop the temperatures some 2 more degrees.

Week 5, days 35-38 Ztrawberry 1 pheno & Damn Sour 2 phenos Both strains are on a very different path. Ztrawberry has been in a bigger pot since the start and after been put in an 11L pot. Wow, she has thrived. She's gotten so big. I've actually decided to flip her. Her nodes are grown and she is fully ready to flip and the process of waiting will be short. I gave her the last grow feed a few days ago. Already still having grow mix as she was moved into a solo pot of grow/light/pebbles 40-40-20 from plagron. She's pushing so hard. There is a few ph issues and a few other stuff. No nutrient defs so nothing that would stop her moving to the next phase. Ztrawberry has been put in 12/12. More pics coming soon from week 4 Damn Sour Both phenos have been stuck in a 2L pot and was only transplanted into each 2L pot. Been giving master root and Enzymes + silica for stress. They've only been put in 2L pots a few days ago. 1 was very stressful as I practically had to pull her up with as much of the roots as possible. They are the sane age as Ztrawberry but they had no space. I will uppot them to 9L pots in a few weeks once the root zone has recovered. I really should have left them and uppoted to a bigger pot. But been so long in that pot. They wouldn't have reached out which is what's happened to my 2 lemon photos I kept too long in a 20L hydro pot. Was really as waste of time by the looks of it. This was the second grow cycle of the Lemon Skunk genetics. I'm happier with the way the second run turned out compared to the first. My yield was higher and one of the phenotypes turned out some stellar top nugs. This grow took way longer than it should have and I'm to blame for some of it. I think I should have went straight to 5 gallon pots instead of hopping into the 3 gallon pots. This cost me at least 2 weeks of extra veg time, maybe more. This harvest took 21+ days to dry. That's about a week longer than last time. I've had to prepare my report early to enter the Diary of the Month. I did a smoke sesh yesterday morning on a nug that's only been curing for 3 days. I'd much rather wait a month to fire some up and let it cure properly. I didn't get many followers or comments on this grow until it was approaching the end. I got the feeling that most people don't like this strain. I'm not really fond on growing it again for various reasons. Mostly because of the amount of labor involved with the trimming portion of the harvest. Maybe I just got some bad phenotypes. I wasn't really impressed with the way the terpenes touch my palate even though it smells really loud either.

These buds look so yumyum. Ze heeft niet lang meer te gaan. Ze ruikt aangenaam sterk spicy. Ik laat haar nog iets rijper worden, heb nog geen amberkleurige trichomen kunnen spotten. Verse foto's zullen volgen.

Girls are trucking along without much issue. I did have a bit of PH flux due to my PH meter calibration being off but no biggie, she didn't show too much signs of stress. These girls are starting to stink which I'm happy about, hoping for a really cheesy harvest :D
