First time growing in a long while. I set up a custom grow tent with some wood and mylar sheets. I'm using an old Rodeadro lamp for now but expecting the new Mars Hydro sometimes soon. Really doing this for the experience with no great expectations and hopeful for a fair amount of weed in the end.

06.05. Day 100 60 Days of flowering Harvestday May 6th — what a day. Back from vacation in the afternoon and wrapped up the Grow Cup in the evening. It was a long, exhausting day, but one I’ll never forget. Those five legendary ladies made it truly unforgettable!

End of Week 16 (9th week of flower) Final week of flower. Turned the lights wattage down at the end of this week to 400W to mimmic the sun moving further away from the earth during Autumn and Winter seasons. This also creates an overall cooler temperature signalling to the ladies that the end is in sight. This also protects the trichomes and ensures they don't get damaged and also dropped the The ladies are fading more and more into their vibrant autumn shades. With hues of pink and purple that makes me so excited! Feeding just PH correct water until harvest, which is around the corner. We are currently on day 63 of flower and checked the trichomes - just a few specs of amber and the cloudy trichomes are more prominent although there are still some clear ones. We will push to harvest within the next couple of days, around day 67-69 Pest Report: None Smell Report: Staaaaanky!

Day 73, 25th of November 2020: Hi! Well they are getting nice maturing buds getting bigger and all good. I love the red colour of the Red Hot Cookies. Unfortunately, Tropicanna Poison and Red Mandarnine does not show any signs of purple or red colour. Kalini Asia neither albeit, the bonsai version gets purple. Gelato is little beauty. So yes, basically not much to say. Fertilization is still the same every second day with the ratio and mixture above stated. The lamp is on 11.15 min and off 12.45 min. Last week was 15 min longer light cycle.... So every week 15 min shorter light cycle until the 5th week. So far -45 min. It switches on at 6 am and off at 17.15 pm.

What a journey it has been from seed! I made a lot of mistakes in the first few weeks of this growing journey. I feel like I had a mini-crash after finishing the first year of grad school, and although I am growing cannabis as part of my research project, I haven't been the greatest at paying attention to it. This is not an excuse. It has actually been a learning opportunity. I realized that my body needs proper schedules to function and grow, just like a plant. The problems with the plant have really been my own problems. Let's just say that a plant may be the reflection of the grower. First, the light cycles were wrong and inconsistent. I thought that I could manually control the light schedule for the plants and be alright. However, I was wrong. My sleep schedule has been very inconsistent for the past few months. Mainly because we are living through a pandemic, and secondly because I am a graduate student 😂. How naive was it of me to think that a plant could follow my own rhythms? I guess it highlights my 'plant blindness.' Second, the light intensity was low and PH levels high. In the last five days, I have learned that plants are living organisms (I knew this, but my plant blindness is quick to dismiss it, I need to stop fighting these "plant voices" (signals)) that require a proper environment to grow, similar to humans. Of course, a plant is not human, but it is alive and living. It needs water, a regular schedule (light (active) /darkness (rest), oxygen, nutrients, and an overall good environment to grow. Concern about the size of my plant at five weeks, I decided to conduct a few experiments at home. Here are my notes: Friday, July 23, 2021, I took the plant out of the tent at 6:00 AM and placed it in front of my backyard window that faces the Eastside, perfect for sunrise. On that day, I had a few errands to run, and when I arrived home, it was 2:30 PM. The sun was now hitting the West side of my house, and I had to move the plant in front of my bedroom window. At around 7:00 PM, I went to look at the plant and noticed that its leaves were looking plumpy. So, I decided to take a timelapse to see what I would be able to record. During "magic hour" (sunset), I recorded and witnessed the plant moving with the rhythms of the sun. Plant, like humans, function at their best when they are synchronized with their circadian rhythm. The pandemic has definitely disoriented us to the point that it has disrupted all of our schedules. To this day, I feel tired from everything we have all been through; how could I possibly think that a plant would thrive with such a messed-up schedule? The time lapse made me realize that the plant needs some structure to thrive, and so do I. So, as much as I like to think that I can be disciplined and follow a plant's schedule, I cannot. So, I went to the store and bought the Globe Suite smart plug to automate and schedule the light cycle to 12hrs of light and 6 hours of darkness. Saturday, July 24, 2021, the plant woke up to the set schedule of the lights. I checked on the plant first thing in the morning, around 9:30 AM. The leaves look much greener and thicker than they did the day before. Sunday, July 25, 2021. I was away overnight and did not arrive home until 2 PM. The plant looks twice the size it was on Friday! Today, I will water the plant. I got a PH test kit and realized that the way that I measured the PH level, the first few weeks was wrong 🤦‍♀️🏽. I measured the PH correctly, to 5.9, and added some Reefertilizer grow nutrients to the water. I watered from the top, distributing the water evenly around the stem. My partner pointed to me that the lights seemed dim for the stage of the plant's life. So I had my lights set at 100 watts running at 20 % 😅. I realized that I had not increased the light intensity since the first few weeks of vegetation 🤦‍♀️🏽. So I increased the intensity to 100 watts running at 60%. Monday, July 26, 2021. First check-in 7:00 AM: The plant looks like it loves all of the new changes that I have made! It is finally growing 🤗 The sun is out, but it is not as intense as it should be because tiny particles of smoke are present in our air due to the wildfires, and they create a filter that makes the human eye see the sun blood red. It is quite apocalyptic. Regardless, I decided to take the plant out from the tent and record a time-lapse. It is fascinating how much movement plants have despite showing no noticeable signs of movement (to the human eye). Tuesday, July 27, 2021. It has been five days since I have made big changes to the plant's schedule and environment. The plant is finally showing good signs of growth, and its leaves colours have changed to a deep green. I am not watering the plant today, but I am spritzing it with water. I decided to take another time-lapse of the plant, but this time inside the tent. As I was setting up the tripod for my camera, I accidentally increased the humidifier 🤦‍♀️🏽. Luckily, I noticed within a reasonable timeframe and reduced the humidity and made the environment better. I increased the light intensity to 100 watts at 100%. The plant will stay in the tent all day today because it is raining ☔️.

Some minor pest issues, mostly due to the cat breaking off lower branches TO EAT. If I didnt have such large trees, I'd be pretty upset. Got a couple minor aphid infestations. Some weird unidentified bugs and a few grasshoppers who seem to leave my stuff alone for the most part. Added in some Mendocino Producers Choice 5-11-26 per advice here to start loading up on the carbs and potassium. The wilder sativas are still immature, which is nuts considering they are well over 10ft tall at this point. No other major issues to report.

All are frosty af but I think the star of the show is the buttermilk biscuits. In-house has earned the rep that they have for frostiness FS. Everything goin smooth and I'm excited to get this one done. Only water here on out.

Dernière semaine de croissance. Changement de solution fait le dimanche 22/11 car le ph commençait à descendre en dessous de 6.2 et cela faisait 1 semaine que j'avais fais le précèdent changement. Le PH lors du changement était de 6,8. Il est monté jusqu'à 7.5 mais je laisse le filtre faire son oeuvre. Il est actuellement à 7.1 et continue de descendre naturellement. carence en fer. Ajout d'une dose supplémentaire de Sensi CalMg Edit au 25 : Malheureusement ce que je sentais venir est arrivé, saturation en N. Le Ph et l'EC continuaient de baisser tous les deux. Les parties basses des plantes étant sombre et ayant une carence en fer sur la partie haute (puisque élément mobile), j'en ai déduit que c'était une carence en fer induite par une surfertilisation en N. J'étais à un EC de 1, je suis revenu à 0,8 le mardi 25 au soir. La bioponie est très capricieuse au niveau de l'azote. Le mercredi 26 le ph remonte ce qui signifie qu'on a stopé le processus de dégradation du N. Je devrais changer la solution mais je dois passer bientôt en flo donc j'ai enlevé de l'eau et rajouter, histoire de tenir jusqu'au prochain changement de solution qui est prévu samedi sauf si la situation dégénere de nouveau avec le PH. Last week of growth. Change of solution made on sunday 22/11 because the ph was starting to drop below 6.2 and it's been 1 week since I made the previous change. The PH at the time of the change was 6.8. It went up to 7.5 but I let the filter do its job. It is currently at 7.1 and continues to drop naturally. iron deficiency. Addition of an extra dose of Sensi CalMg Last update : Unfortunately what I felt was coming has happened, N saturation. Ph and EC both continued to drop. As the lower parts of the plants were dark and iron deficient (on top because is mobil nutrient), I deduced that it was an iron deficiency induced by N overfertilization. I was at an EC of 1, I came back to 0.8 on Tuesday evening the 25th. Biopony is very capricious in terms of nitrogen. On Wednesday the 26th the ph goes up which means that we stopped the N degradation process. I should change the solution but I have to float soon so I removed some water and added more, to hold until the next change of solution which is planned for Saturday unless the situation degenerates again with the PH. Well then - this was a fun week. Two fans in that tent died. Humidity was high. It was packed. I made the choice to pull - what I felt was the weakest plant - and let the other 4 continue on. First plant harvested - Highcloudz 1 - front left purple tall girl in video. I pulled that 0ut - two of the others collapsed. 😂. I had purchased new driveway stakes just cause I thought this would happen - and spent an hour staking up the remaining 4 girls. Highcloudz 1- mega frosty but more skinny buds. Smells delicious. Dinning room table just covered in trichomes. Put her in 60/60 closet….just been hacking all the unfrosty fans off over the course of a few days. The uncrowded tent is so so much better! And two new tower fans - one above- 0ne below. But really - this flower time is killing me - 5 months total for this photo. Epic. Hopefully someone from @Greenhouseseeds sees this. I really have tried my best with these girls and so far, really happy with the harvest. The 5th plant - purple mutant is just the best. Best Yet to come. Two clones - pheno late reveg - of her still running growing.

April 14 - 21 Steady as they go. Some minor defoliation.

Last week went well. Not much happening besides watching her fattening up daily. Had to up cal-mag another.5 mL per gallon because I noticed the start of some minor spots on a couple of the top leaves. She is drinking a decent amount. About a gallon and a half of water every other day. The buds are getting big and I am going to get a decent yield. Until next time happy growing to everyone!
