Fimmen + LST gestart. Ik leg mijn planten graag platšŸ’š

(germination through first week of seedling 11/29-12/10) Days 1 to 7 Starting a new grow with two Royal Queen, Purple Queen Seeds (thank you Royal Queen for making this possible) I plan to be rough with these plants and top them both to 8 colas. This journal will be different than my last (alot less detail) but I will still look for new opportunities to learn something new that I can share. I also plan to take at least 5 pics per week with 1 video and 1 'pretty' cover pic per week, however I also plan to delete the excess details at the end of each week. I had these seeds for about 4 months now. They have been stored in the fridge inside a paper bag. I took the seeds out of the fridge and let the rest on the counter for two days before dropping them in water. After a seed inspection of which I noticed some unatural bumps on the shell of one, but no cracks or splits, I dropped them both in purified water for 19 hours. Since the shells still hadn't cracked, I then transferred both seeds to paper towels with the belly button side up and pressed them against the glas side to make the tap root grow straight down. These seeds took 2 days to show a crack in the shell from the time that I placed them into the paper towel - Once they cracked, I cut the middle of Rapid Rooter starter pods and placed the tap root down inside the pods. I then closed the pods with ends of toothpicks and placed them in an incubator until they showed a tap root growing out from the bottom of the pods. That took a total of 4 days from paper towel to transplant day (now called Day 1) where they were about 1 to 1.5 inches above the soil line after I planted them in 1 cup pots. Dynomyco Mycorrhizal Inoculant was already mixed into the ph balanced soil that had been growing Happy Frog mycorrhizae for about a month. I used 8.75ph purified water with the soil to create a soil with 6.3ph (this soil has been notorious for being extremely low on ph and by week 4 to 5 after second topping the first fan leaves show a calcium deficit.)

Day 56 for Chem91 and day 54 for the HighLux. Really excited to see the chem finally come around A huge difference from a couple of weeks ago. She went through her stretch and now has some distance between nodes. At 16 inches she is structured much like an azalea bush She looks nothing like the traditional Christmas tree shape they you associate with cannabis plants I am hoping she is able to handle the stronger light but we will see. HighLux! Hello sweetie! Love this plant. So far no issues. She is coming out of stretch and is closing in on 32 inches tall. She has created a terrific canopy, all side branches ended up a couple of inches apart in height. Beautiful. Flowers are getting bigger every day and the early frost is just incredible, it covers fan leaves inches away from the flowers. Started feeding her with General Hydroponics CocoTek bloom A&B for the higher pl values of the Canna Coco A&B line. She seems to love it. She also received a 6 ml dose of King Kola and again she seems happy with the extra pk. I have been giving the a fresh ph’d water flush flush about once a week and again they seem happy with that regime. Will flush the chem91 tomorrow and begin the General Hydroponics CocoTek bloom A&B. There is a short video of the tent at the bottom of the updated ph

Compost tea turned out well and if your curious about the microscopy, check the comments on my GMP grow. No signs of senescence yet so no feed needed, they are in a second run of the same soil so there should be plenty in there from before. Not very resinous or smelly, with weird wide stumpy buds. Definitely my least fav pheno of any plant I've grown so far, but it's the end product we're after so she may yet surprise.

šŸ˜€ --- It was a very mixed week with lots of rain, some sun and a lot of wind. The Durban Poison is not particularly affected by this; it is tied to the stake, stands straight as a die and continues to swell its buds. Unfortunately, upon closer inspection, I did find a wilted, twisted leaf in one of the flowers and immediately removed it along with the flower. Further examination revealed no other signs of mould. So it's not 100% mould-free... However, the weather is very conducive to mould at the moment. I'm looking forward to the harvest and then I'll need a lot of space for drying. The DP is a little smaller this year than last year, which is certainly due to the amount of fertiliser in the pot during the vegetation phase. The decisive factor will be whether defoliation will improve the harvest yield. Last year, I left more leaves on the plant. Thank you very much for visiting and best wishes for a mould-free week! šŸ˜€

🌱 Eternity Grow Cup: Week 1 Report – The Journey Begins 🌟 First and foremost, a huge thank you to Grow Diaries, the incredible community, and all the amazing sponsors that make this journey possible. Big shoutouts to my core supporters: Aptus Holland, Pro-Mix Soil, TrolMaster, ThinkGrow LED, Future of Grow LED, and CannaKan. And for this special Eternity Grow Cup run, I’m deeply grateful to have Zamnesia and Plagron on board, providing seeds and the game-changing Green Sensation. Your support inspires me to put my all into this grow! šŸ’š 🌿 Week 1 Highlights: Slow but Steady Progress This week has been all about resilience and careful nurturing. Despite colder-than-ideal temperatures, the Zamnesia Runtz seedlings are showing their strength and determination. Here’s how things are looking: Environment Stats • Daytime Temps: ~18°C • Nighttime Temps: ~14°C • Humidity (RH): ~60% • Root Support: Heating mat keeping the root zone warmer, ensuring the seedlings stay cozy even when ambient temps drop. Growth Update • All five phenos (labeled Runtz #1–5) have sprouted and are now showing their first leaves. • Growth is slow due to the low temperatures, but the Pro-Mix HP with Biofungicide and Mycorrhizae is proving to be an amazing medium—supporting healthy roots and steady development. • No nutrients yet, just plain water, allowing the seedlings to establish themselves naturally in this excellent soil. Faith in the Pheno Hunt I’m holding onto the dream of finding that special passion-fruit pheno I adored in the past. It’s still early days, but I believe in the magic of this strain and the promise each seed holds. Educational Focus: Germination to Week 1 Care The Importance of Root Warmth in Cold Conditions Maintaining a consistent root-zone temperature is crucial when growing in a cold environment. Here’s how I’ve adapted: • Using a heating mat under the pots to keep the roots warm while the surrounding air remains cooler. • Ensuring the soil stays evenly moist, as dry conditions can amplify the impact of cold. Minimal Feeding Philosophy For the first week, I stick to plain water—letting the soil and its microbial life do the heavy lifting. This allows the seedlings to establish strong roots without risk of overfeeding or salt buildup. Patience is Key Early growth may seem slow, especially in cooler climates, but this is the foundation stage. Each small leaf and root is setting the stage for explosive growth in the weeks to come. Visual Storytelling: A Peek Behind the Scenes This week, I’ve documented every detail through photos and videos to share the full story: • Photos: Close-ups of all five phenos, capturing their early beauty. • Videos: A general end-of-week overview and a behind-the-scenes look at my process, shot with my Sony A6000 on a tripod. • These visuals not only highlight the progress but also offer a deeper look into the tools and techniques I’m using. Looking Ahead: Building Momentum As the journey continues, I’m confident these seedlings will pick up momentum. Next week, I’ll be keeping an eye on root development and early veg growth while maintaining the same environment and feeding approach. Community Love & Thanks I want to thank Grow Diaries and this incredible community for making this journey so rewarding. To all the participants: good luck, and let’s keep learning and growing together! Let’s make this cup one for the history books. Stay tuned for Week 2, where we’ll dive deeper into the evolution of these amazing plants. Until then, keep growing, keep dreaming, and let’s make magic happen! 🌟 Genetics - Runtz https://www.zamnesia.com/6000-zamnesia-seeds-runtz-feminized.html Nutrients - Plagron https://plagron.com/en/hobby - Aptus Holland https://aptus-holland.com/ Controls - Trol MAster https://www.trolmaster.eu/ LED - https://www.futureofgrow.com/en LED - https://www.thinkgrowled.com Soil - https://www.promixgardening.com/en Germination - Cannakan https://cannakan.com/?srsltid=AfmBOopXr-inLXajXu3QFgKXCXXos4F1oEvScjMKIB5MR5dk8-GJ-F49 DOGDOCTOR 15% off As always thank you all for stopping by, for the love and for it all , this journey of mine wold just not be the same without you guys, the love and support is very much appreciloved and i fell honored with you all in my life With true love comes happiness Always believe in your self and always do things expecting nothing and with an open heart , be a giver and the universe will give back to you in ways you could not even imagine so As always, this is shared for educational purposes, aiming to spread understanding and appreciation for this plant. Finally got into the orange dream to get some pics , the critical XL was in front of her and got so weighty I couldn’t move her out the way to get to the orange šŸ˜ŠšŸ‘ŒšŸ”„, so with having moved the critical into the dry tent waiting to get trimmed I could get to the orange. This orange is weighty , phat , solid and smells of orange zest she’s got maybe another two weeks max just to finish off so this week I’ll take some of those faded leaves off and start backing off her feed . I’ve been smoking a bit of this already and it’s so good , my fave smoke I’ve ever smoked so moreish and doesn’t sit you right down but instead gets the creative juices flowing it’s gonna be so fun smoking it all . These Dutch fem genetics are so different than other strains I’ve smoked so stoked to have grown them .

It's officially week 4 of veg. What a ride! These ladies DO NOT give up and neither did i. Second grow, it is a learning curve. With all the growth stunned, i am a bit impatient. BUT the good news is the smallest have starting growing again. Anyways... šŸ‘½šŸ‘‰19/9 New automation program for this week. (See pictures for app screenshots for automation and datalogger) Temps - 21night/29day RH% - 60RH night / 68RH day My plan is to decrease the humidity at night, to increase the vpd. The same goes for my light output and nutrients. Changing the variables gradually over time. šŸ‘½šŸ‘‰20/9 I topped two more plants. The growth is gradually getting better. They should be ready for their first real feed tomorrow. (Only top fed them last watering) šŸ‘½šŸ‘‰21/9 ** First real feed. -They reacted well to a last lose dose top feeding, so this time i will give them a full feed, but same low dose. -Programmed new automation based on VPD Graf (see pictures) Set to 1.0 VPD. // Inkbird app, i am adjusting the RH% to the temp in the tent. -Did some experimental LST on one of the smaller ones. Dont have a co2 meter, but have co2 bag. But it has not been added as a variable to the climate calculations. šŸ‘½šŸ‘‰22/9 The new automation program has proven efficient and working(for now). Now its interesting to see the plants adapting the constant VPD. šŸ‘½šŸ‘‰23/9 Did some more LST work to keep the tallest ladies at level. šŸ‘½šŸ‘‰24/9 Visiting the ladies and checking up on the lst work. Tucking in leaves, plotting my next move. *Water day. they shared 5 Liter, where the bigger ones got more. PH 6.4 - EC 1.52 (Last water was PH 6.4 - EC 1.37) 1.5ml/L Bio heaven+Bio fish. (Next time they will get 2ml/L) šŸ‘½šŸ‘‰25/9 Turned up the lights from 75% to 100%. Temps are about to rise higher. might as well let the ladies get used to it.
