Hmm, it’s really only on the older leaves, none of the new growth is affected and the buds are still developing on pace. So I will give some compost tea, along with all the others. Veg week two. Everything seems to be ok at this point.

The first is already peeking out of the ground, the other should follow. I used Plagron Lightmix. LED @ 24W

The little ones are developing well, unfortunately there are a few minor nutrient problems in the direction of Calmag with the Morello Cherries and also slight signs of this with the TerpyZ Punch. I counteracted this with a foliar spray. The pH value of the hydrosystem has unfortunately dropped a little to 5.5, which I have equalised with ph up from Plagron. The plants are currently getting light between 800-900 ppfd and as soon as the stretch starts, l'll increase this to 1000 ppfd. Both ladies are slowly starting to smell.

🌿 Lava Cake – Week 5 (First Week Flower) | Pre-Bloom & Heat Talk 🌿 The Lava Cakes have officially stepped into their flowering tent… though, to be fair, they’re still enjoying a little extra veg time before showing pistils. Both phenos are healthy, lush, and stretching beautifully, clearly ready for the show ahead. ⸻ 📸 Photo Studio Glam We took them out for another studio shoot, bright lights, clean background, and every angle showing off their deep greens and perfect branching. Soon, their beauty will be dressed in flowers, but for now, the leaf structure alone is worthy of the spotlight. ⸻ 🌡️ Current Conditions • Room Temp: 31°C • Humidity: 50.3% • VPD: 2.23 kPa • PPFD: 766 µmol/m²/s • Soil EC: ~2.0 • Soil Temp: 25.6°C Yes, the temperature is running hot — AC unit is on the way to lock it back into our ideal zone. ⸻ 💬 Heat in the Grow Room – Risks & Benefits Potential Risks: • Faster substrate drying = more frequent irrigation needed • Higher transpiration rates can stress plants if roots can’t keep up • Slightly increased risk of light stress at high PPFD without proper cooling • Possible reduced terpene retention if sustained into late flower Possible Benefits (short term in veg/pre-flower): • Accelerated metabolism — plants grow and stretch faster • Increased water/nutrient uptake (if well-fed and watered on time) • Can improve CO₂ usage efficiency if levels are high enough Bottom line: As long as they’re hydrated, fed, and ventilated, short bursts of high temp are manageable. But for flowering, we want to keep daytime temps closer to 24–28°C for optimal quality. ⸻ 💧 Watering Strategy We water when the soil dries to about 25% moisture remaining, this encourages: • Stronger root growth searching for water • Better oxygenation of the root zone • Less risk of root rot in warm temps Right now: They’re drinking daily due to the heat, so we’re feeding daily as well. ⸻ Current Feeding (per L of water) • Aptus Regulator – 0.15 ml • Aptus CalMag Boost – 0.25 ml • Aptus All-in-One Liquid – 1 ml • Aptus Top Booster – 0.25 ml With the increased drinking rate, nutrient uptake has increased — meaning no signs of deficiency, just steady lush green. ⸻ 🚀 Looking Ahead • AC installation will stabilize temps, allowing tighter VPD control • First signs of pistils should appear within the next 7–10 days • We’ll begin adjusting feed ratios for early bloom once flowers set • Light intensity will climb further as stretch continues ⸻ 💚 Closing Note: This week is all about momentum, heat or no heat, the Lava Cakes are pushing upward, prepping themselves for a heavy flower load. Ernie is going to likely be much stronger, with less buds. Ernie smells crazy strong, is very greasy, and shines a very vibrant blue with flash on. without the camera flash I can still see some overall blue to the plant much more the Bert. I took the ScrOG off to see what the plant would do no buds fell of but damn I see why its not a good idea. The plants do smell much stronger 2 days since the ScrOG came off and have continued to increase their smell and trichome length.

What's up Growmies🤟🏽. Week # 8 is in the books🙌🏾 Hello week #9💪🏾 I went a little overboard on pictures this week, they are so happy and healthy that I got carried away. I know we are supposed to post pictures with the lights off, however it's something about the contrast it gives with the lights on that makes it look sexy to me😁. I have had to tie the stalks of both White LSD plants due to heavy sagging. I'm noticing with this strain the stalks seem to topple over even though the buds are far from fully developed. A trellis net probably would be ideal however I hate them. They are easy to put on but very difficult to take off come harvest. I use garden wire and string them as if they are puppets being controlled by the puppet master🤪. I continue my feeding schedule with the recommended "bloom" concoction using general hydroponics Flora series trio. I give them 1 liter every 3 days. I have them on a 2 to 2 cycle (feed them twice with nutes and then twice with plan water) I keep the p.h. around 6.1 to 6.6. Temps and humidity are in the perfect range I'm enjoying it while it last because spring and summer in VA makes it difficult to keep the humidity in check. All in all everything is going well for me and my ladies. I hope the same for all of you. Day 8 leaves a little burnt from the temp being slightly too high but increased airflow has solved the issue and newer leaves look healthy. Will do some LST at the end of this week. Day 9 there's a few spots on the newer leaves either from the heat or maybe a bit of nute burn from the all mix. Either way it's doing well and seems to have carried on with its none stop growth. Got a small single plant tent on the way as the chest of drawers won't be good for much longer so that should definitely solve the heat issue while also being much more reflective. Day 10 shot up again overnight. The biobizz must definitely be doing it's thing now as the stalk has doubled in thickness and there's been plenty of new leaf growth. I have also been doing a few light pre bends to prepare the plant for the first LST in a few days time. Day 11 the tent has arrived so I've put it together. Already looking loads better. The plant itself has sprung a lot of new growth overnight so hopefully now with better reflected light and less heat it should thrive. Day 12 Biobizz sample pack arrived today so I have mixed 1ml Bio-grow with 1L water and fed the plant approx 2/3 of the mix due to the pot being pretty dry throughout. I was overwatering so left it for a few days until adequately dry but not overly. Waiting on advice from Fastbuds but will not feed again until next week anyway. I have also lifted the light up to 60cm from the top of the plant to prevent any potential light burn. Day 13 plant looks good. Still minor curling on some of the leaves but newer leaves look healthy. Spoke to Fastbuds on Instagram and I have fed too much as I should have started with 0.3ml to a litre so will keep an eye out for signs of toxicity. Day 14 I think the overfeeding is showing but not drastically. There's a few spots on the leaves but not anything to worry about. I'll just monitor it over the next few days.

After keeping an eye on the tricomes I've seen most of them turn white so last night I mixed 1.5ml/L of flawless finish and saturated the soil and left to set overnight this morning I flushed all 3 plants so far they dont look stressed out at all I was scared being my first time yet I still dont know if it was successful

Recovered well from the defoliation on day 21 of flower. Pretty much plain sailing from now on as stretch has stopped and only need a few heads and maybe remove the odd leaf.
