16.4.25: I have retied the fabric ties again, as they're growing like crazy. Trying to open up the plant, to grow out as well as up. This will also create new colas. At this stage, I'm trying not to over fertilise like I did with the last grow. Focusing on Cal-Mag amino acids and Mega Crop Part A. The medium is my custom super soil, which is already fertilised with Ecothrive dry amendments. So I could just add water. However, as we've already run into deficiency, that would be careless. I find it easy to keep an eye on the plants and carefully inspect them daily to act quickly when issues arise. Learning how to determine the issue is what I'm still learning, which is the hard part 😅 It's all fun though, and I'm really enjoying this grow with all the toppings and FIMs. So far so good! 21.4.25: Hope everyone had a great 420! Northern lights is absolutely beautiful, great structure. I'm determining when to relax the LST as we are now in the beginning of week 3 flower. I do have height. However, I'd like to keep it reasonable. You never know when they will stop growing. I'm not really adjusting any ties since the last time, but I have added an LST clips as one of the middle tops was much talker than the others. I am trying very hard to exercise some much necessary self restraint here! 😅 it is becoming increasingly difficult! I have also noticed that there are signs of Nitrogen excess. Maybe 2 leaves have very thin overlapping blades. Instead of Mega Crop Part A and Cal-Mag amino acids, I will use Bud explosion PK booster with the Cal-Mag. This will make the N5 the only Nitrogen being given. It still may be too much, but will monitor closely to see the effect this change will make, if any. Balancing the nutrients is very important for me to learn, and it's going to be an ongoing process. I watered today with 3 litres of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4 with the following nutrients: ♡ 1/2 Tsp of Bud Explosion PK booster by Greenleaf nutrients ♡ 5ml Cal-Mag amino acids by Xpert Nutrients 23.4.25: Plant seemed to be drinking heavily, so I watered again with 3 litres of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.3 with;- ♡ 2.5ml Cal-Mag amino acids by Xpert Nutrients, and ♡ Ecothrive Biosys 1/8 tsp. I removed the plant ties and retied the plant after watering. Less ties are necessary as the plant has moulded and stayed in that structure. 25.4.25: Northern Lights was much overdue for a retie of the fabric ties. After this session of LST, the plant is absolutely huge. I really could easily fill the tent with just her. The fact that this plant could fill out a 4ft² space absolutely proves that autoflowering strains can outdo photoperiods. (At this stage I should have my winter crop all dried) This is my last plant to start for this crop. I'm pushing it to the max this year. I've many plants. A few I plan to grow big. But 70% will be average grows which I'll be happy once they hit or go by 40g per plant. She has between 15-19% THC.. not normally a preference for myself. I like much stronger phenos. But, I had to give this strain a go. I'm getting round to the classics. As this is more or less what I grew up on as a teen. So, looking forward to tasting this baby. Edit After 30+hrs. Seed was placed on wet substrate that was soaked in 1L of Pure Zym.& Power Roots. After placing the seed i then added 0.1 of a liter of dry substrate on top of the seed. (Just moist soil) this will lower the risk of damping of completely nearly as this won't need watering for at least 10+ days. 1/5th of BatMix was added to the end of the pot with the rest been filled with Royal Mix, both are fertilised soil. But to get Alga Grow going as its an Organic product you should try get that going early. Just a small amount to kick-start the Organic process which takes longer while using Organic products. Pure zym & PR will help it break down any nutes as she's a seedling after all. So, I hope the soil won't be too hot. So, I'll hold off on any NPK feeds for now or anything else until she's into veg. She has jumped to 28 inches. Impressive really. Defoleated A lot of useless bottom crap. Her stem has healed and is about 1 inch thick. She is looking and growing great.

This lady grows very good so far... She shows slightly stress because of the HEat and Sun the last days.. But she is very strong! I increase the Nutrients from 1tls to 2tls(6gram) of the Nutrient Salt

All good :) very frosty and smells so good. She‘s so happy. At day 35 end of week 4 approaching week 5, i flush her to remove salt buildups since i didn’t had runoff the entire grow ever. She has crazy 2.6EC run off the ph is on the spot though. So lets see how will she react after heavy flush with runoff 1.6EC by week 5. i am now lowering my nuts half of the manufacturers recommendation.

Week 4: Growth Spurts and New Challenges Continued Growth and Health As we move into the fourth week, the plants are showing impressive growth. Their leaves are a lush, vibrant green, and the stems are becoming stronger. The transition to the larger 11-liter fabric pots has clearly paid off, providing the roots with ample space and better aeration. Adjusting Nutrient Levels Given their positive response to the nutrients, I decided to continue with 2/3 of Terra Aquatica Tripart feeding schedule, adjusting slightly to meet their increasing demands. Here's the updated feeding plan for this week: CalMag: 2.5 ml/l (Starting EC before adding nutrients: 0.50 mS/cm) Grow: 1.5 ml/l Bloom: 1.0 ml/l Micro: 0.5 ml/l EC: 1.2 mS/cm (600 ppm PPM-500/TDS) pH: 6.0 Each plant is watered with approximately 20% runoff to ensure there's no nutrient buildup in the coco mix. I will maintain this nutrient level until the pre-flowering stage to avoid the risk of nutrient burn due to over-fertilization. Weather Improvements and Adjustments The weather has been steadily improving, with temperatures expected to rise to around 25°C starting Wednesday, accompanied by abundant sunshine. Smart Watering Strategy I only water the plants when the pots feel noticeably lighter. This encourages the roots to search for water, promoting the development of a stronger and more extensive root system. This method helps ensure the plants remain healthy and resilient. Pest Management: Observations and Actions At the beginning of the third week, I noticed dark discolorations on the undersides of some leaves. A few days later, these spots turned into yellow patches. I am still unsure about the cause of these spots. To prevent a potential insect infestation, I sprayed all the leaf surfaces, both top and bottom, with a mildly dosed neem oil mixture. Since then, the spots have not spread further. Because these discolorations are only affecting the lower leaves, they are not causing me significant concern at the moment. Regular inspections and preventive measures are crucial to maintaining the health of the plants and ensuring that any issues are caught early. Decision Against LST At first I have decided against using LST. But some of your comments made me try some LST on two of my plants. I choose Tangie and Gorilla cookies to try out and learn some stuff. Blue dream and Banana purple punch stay without any training. I had no pictures of week 4, s now it's 10 days later. The plants are now 1 month and week. Applestrudel (left) and Strawberry-G (right) are close to start to bloom and already stretched a bit. I tie down the outer branches to get more light inside. 😇 Lemon Cherry (in the front) is still has thin, light-green leaves and a short and compact structure. The most branches don't get enough light, but they are too small to tie down. 😑 Light is on 100% - 100W

week 5

All plants have been repoted into 20 litre fabric pots, 6 topped and LST will begin this week. One plant has already been bent over abit as you can see in the video as it was getting abit taller than the rest. Growth now seems to be picking up I went away for 2 days and when I come back it looked liked they'd doubled in height! Some Cuttings are abit slow but that is down to my impatience. Nutrients are now been given at full dosage. From now on the plants should grow significantly every week giving me chance to bush them out whilst also getting the desired height before filling to flower and scrogging!
