I got these seeds a while ago from an exchange. I want to get in the breeding game soon and want to produce more of this strain so I can pheno hunt and cross with other seeds I already have. They're regular seeds but I will try to feminize the female ones with colloidal silver. This won't be an assiduous journal. Only a couple of pictures from time to time until it gets to the actual seed production.

Going smooth, nothing to read. No nutrients for now and probably not for next week either. My last run finished my bottles and since I won't smoke these, I will not used high grade nutes, just enough to keep them healthy. Topping and transplanting next week probably.

Still going smooth. I transplanted them in bigger pots on the 25th and started giving them nutrients. I feed them once a week with the basic 20-20-20 from miracle grow just to keep them healthy and I complement everything with Cal-Mag from advanced nutrients. I also toped and FIMed them to get more stems and to start LST next week. I topped B, the smallest one and tried for the first time FIMing on A and C. I actually learned more about producing feminized seeds and the process is actually too complicated for me at the time. I still want to produce seeds with them but I'll have to make regular ones and disintegrate my buds to harvest them. Now let's hope I have both sexes.

Lots of changes this week. I think the FIMing didn't do much and I decided to top A and C in the end. I encountered my first problem which was a lockout and I really don't know why it happened since I check the pH before every feeding. (So I learned that my TDS is just way too high and that's why I get lockouts, next feeding will be more diluted.) I flushed them until the runoff was in the good range. I'll wait a bit for the soil to dry before refeeding them. I'm not sure yet but I think A and C are males and B should be female. Next week should confirm everything and I'll then wait a bit to decide which male to keep.

So I think I got 3 males. Not very useful for, well.. anything. I could be wrong though because I've already been in the past (and god I hope I am) so I decided to start the flowering stage anyway and see what happens. If I ever get a female in there, she'll be pollinated by two others males which I think can give more diverse offsprings, but let's be real, it probably won't happen. Even after the flush I still had problems with deficiencies and thought it was probably due to the lowering of the ppm in the solutions but that I was still feeding them only once a week. It's now twice a week and with a much lighter concentration that should prevent salt build ups. A slurry test proved that my soil was still in the good range. I installed a net and started defoliating the closest one and then realized I should have done that before putting the net. And since I'm only interested in the seeds and not the quality of the flowers I didn't continue on the farther ones. Plus I probably only have males in there so giving them too much care would be a waste of time.

YEEEES! We got both sexes! And the best scenario possible 2 females, one male. Nothing really changed since last time. I'll go buy some miracle grow for the blooming phase and give her other nutrients I still have from previous grows. I did another small defoliation removing other dead leaves and it should be the last one. I also moved the net up a bit trying to flatten everything as best as I could. I don't really care for the buds, all I'm looking for are the seeds so I'll extract them as soon as they're ready.

Turns out my A plant is actually a hermie, but fuck it, we go on. I don't think it's due to anything I did, maybe the guy who produced them, but I guess it gives me a good reason to keep it now. I'll have hermie seeds but it's the only way for me to get some right now, it'll just be longer for me to straighten the genetic. I started giving them the bloom booster from miracle gro and some other nutrients I had from previous grows. I still have to bend some stems for them to not get too close to the light.

Some bananas have fallen in the cup but none have opened yet. The cups are useless now too because I've decided to spread the pollen with a fan that I turn on a couple hours per day. For a time I considered ordering good pollen online to get good seeds right away but I found nothing available, so we continue with the hermie one. I know my humidity should be lower for the flowering stage but I can't invest in a dehumidifier right now. The top flowers are getting really close to the light too. I never thought 4 weeks of veg would be too much.

I decided to go with a more efficient way to pollinate at the beginning of the week. Instead of using the fan, I collected the pollen sacs with tweezers and then shook them with a brush above the flowers. It worked just fine because at the end of the week, I could clearly see the seeds forming. Still not happy with the hermie trait but I did what I could with what I had. What comforts me is that I know it's already a rather good genetic for it to be this big in just 4 weeks of veg and thriving in a far from perfect environment. It's the last feeding with the Big Bud nutrient. It should be at least another 4 weeks of flowering so I'll start the Overdrive nutrient for the next 2 weeks and after that I'll flush.

I did a bit of research about the strain and turns out it's a 9 week flowering time so I didn't start the Overdrive yet but will do next week. Seeds are developing their hard shell. I was able to raise the light by a couple more cm but was also obligated to dim the power a bit to prevent anymore light burn. I also tried to bend the highest stems. Colas affected by the light burn produced no trichomes and no seeds. The other main colas are getting stacked and shiny. After the seeds are collected, the buds will be sorted between pollinated and not. The last ones will be dried and cured for smoking and the others will be turned to concentrate and edibles.

We're getting closer to choping and it's about time because almost all of the buds are getting too close to the light. I'm doing my best to keep them away. Seeds are getting a darker color. I started the Overdrive. I'm giving it until next week. My set-up will make it hard to properly flush so I'll just stop giving them nutrients a bit before the last 2 weeks.

The last feeding was on 2021-08-28 and I give them only water from now on. I plucked one seed to see and they still need a bit of time. Growth has pretty much stopped for good but a lot of buds have got too close to the light and produced no trichomes. I believe some of the farther ones didn't got pollinated which is good, I'll a have a small batch to smoke. The rest will be either turned to concentrate or edibles.

First week of plain water but the fading occurred much sooner than that. The chop is set on the 15th of September so very close! Almost all of the trichomes have turned to milky. I plucked a couple more seeds to see the stage and they're pretty much all ready. I decided to separate them in different bags depending on what plant they grew on. I believe the ones that only had the hermie's genetic should logically be worst than the others so it's better to keep them seperate. We'll see each other again on the 15th :) ____________________________________________________________________________ Edit: I realized that I miscalculated a lot of things and that my diary is not as accurate as I wanted it to be. The correct chop date would be the 12th of September. The trichomes that are still clear still have a bit of time to turn white. I switch to 48hrs of darkness on the 10th.

All is said in the video. The recommended flowering time was 60-66 days and I had to chop on 58. I wish it went to 66 but I couldn't control the environment and air flow so mold developed on a bud. Some trichomes are still clear but most of them are cloudy and some even amber. The harvest was impressive considering all the mistakes I made. Big and dense colas, I'm expecting ≈ 100g per plants. They are now drying and waiting to be delicately unseeded.

I got the 3 starting seeds from an exchange with a redditor who accidentally pollinated his batch with a male, meaning I didn't start with the best genetic which in the end, probably induced the hermie. It turned out good overall but it did fuck up a lot of things. I never thought 4 weeks of veg would be too much. They got tall in no time and almost tripled in height during the flowering stretch. Light burn had a significant impact on the trichome production of certain buds. The mold is on me. I should have controlled the conditions better. I had to throw away 10-15g because of it. And really nothing guarantees I removed it all. Plant B produced, in the books, a lot less than her sisters and that can be explained by 3 factors: -Mold attacked it more than the others; -I probably switched 1 or maybe 5 (who knows...) whole branches when they fell from the rope during the drying; -I left a lot of tiny popcorn buds that got separated in the ''to be extracted'' jar. The 3 plants were pretty similar in looks but gave rather different seeds. A, the hermie, gave a lot of seeds in general but almost half of them were immature or wonky and got discarded; B, a female, gave a lot of good ones but also quite a few bad ones. The have nice stripes giving them a tiger look; C, another female, still hasn't been plucked of all it's seeds but the ones I already collected are really big, round and mat. Plant A pollinated itself. Plant B got helped by me but C didn't received help from me nor the wind and still got hit, a lot less, but still. I'll never underestimate the propagation power of pollen again. FINAL HARVEST: PLANT A: - 91g - 281 viable seeds PLANT B: - 28g - 297 viable seeds PLANT C: - 89g - 149 viable seeds 167 mixed seeds from ABC EXTRACT MATERIAL: - 9g TOTAL: 217g / 894 seeds Height by weeks: 1 - 7 cm 2 - 20 cm 3 - 32 cm 4 - 49 cm Switch 5 - 81 cm 6 - 107 cm 7 - 120 cm 8 - 124 cm 9 - 125 cm 10 - 126 cm 11 - 126 cm 12 - 128 cm 13 - 128 cm Nice experience overall. A lot of thing could have gone better but the fact is I got a bunch of seeds for future pheno hunting and God knows I'll need to do some to straighten the genetic. See you all then!
