Approaching the finish line. Fertilizer is now at its final dose. Both plants stopped growing now and started to build thick buds. Ken in fact is way ahead in terms of buds but it might be because he Hase a little bit less in number. It鈥檚 possible that I trained Ryu too much for his pot size 馃槅馃槅. But let鈥檚 see. Both looking very good and a lot more powerful than in my first grow. Water intake is still massive. The top soil is rock solid while draining water super fast which must mean the pots are filled with massive roots. The erected teeth came down a bit but they were never that severe in the first place so I鈥檓 still not worried about that. I skipped one day of watering to account for possible slight overfeeding but I mean, today鈥檚 watering then was with the increased dose of fert 馃槅馃槅. I know I鈥檓 pushing it a little bit but that鈥檚 deliberate. I have high demands both in mass and quality so my approach is riding the edge as good as possible from the beginning 馃槅

Este ya sido un excelente ciclo, donde aprend铆 un mont贸n y mejore mucho mi cultivo arreglando cosas muy sencillas, como usar el ph correcto, la buena electro conductividad y un ambiente siempre controlado con buena humedad y temperatura.

Week 4 started pretty great, the plants were finally exploding in ways I did not see coming. They also grew up nicely into the high lights that used to be at ~65cm, so PPFD adjustment was not necessary for the big girls as they grew into the range by themselves, ACJ (9 days younger) had her "cloud" to slightly shield her from the sun. Nutrients: Work on the plants was fairly limited. I did notice some early burn on Orange (not surprising), accompanied by a lot of deep green, slightly wrinkled leave borders. So this was my nitrogen curve shooting up way too early, expecting vigorous branching and foliage creation for 10 week Hybrid averages, when this strain can take it easy for up to 13 weeks. I wonder whether the N-toxicity caused the burned tips for Orange as well, but I am convincing myself this can't be the only factor. Guess what we can learn from this? I'll tell ya: Cinderella Jack with 9 days younger is receiving that same ramp 9 days -ahead- and is showing absolutely no signs of excess N or burn. When I read: "N-tox" and "nutrient burn", I should read: "Sativa / Landrace" and "likes lighter feed" amongst other things. Train decisions: Once again, I did try to employ leaf tucking in order to expose shoots and perhaps prevent super-cropping entirely. But I just cannot find a way to do it as long as everything is stretching out nicely. The internodal stretching on well fed and tended for Autos on Haze / Sativa genes with protocols supporting stretch, leaves me with leaves that are way too high up to tuck down without breaking them. The shadowing fan-leaves are always 2 nodes up and provide just some shade for those young nodes to stretch. Those nodes seem to have two modes to me: stretch out high and shoot up -in between- their shadowing fan leave petioles and stem (those will be big); or bend outwards and kinda stop stretching, as they are "thankful" as low priority shoots. Nothing else to add, trucking on, the scrog-net is looming over their heads. I am loving their heights but I have a confession to make: First day week 5? Those beautiful plants will receive their single HST "training" session and will be VERY upset for a day or two (during which I will also lollipop cleanly).

Another week done. She's pretty much on autopilot. Still got quite a few weeks left though, must be very Sativa dominant 馃挭

Hey everyone, All the buds have been sent to my cozy basement for curing. I cure the dried plants in glass jars, burping them periodically. I maintain a temperature of around 20掳C (68掳F). This process takes anywhere from 2 to 6 months. I do all this to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience later on. For consumption, I use my Xmax V3 Pro vaporizer. Cheers, see you all next time!

8/23 Fed 2 gallons of nutes to the garden. I'm planning to increase feeding to three gallons as plants look hungry. Ice cream cake isn't as vibrant as it once was. Still losing leaves but I find that is consistent with others in my area according to the local growers page. The hurricane missed us but the rain and humidity are still a problem. It's not raining (plants were soaked so it rained last night) and rh is still 100%. It's outdoor so what can I do? What I NEED to do is spray BT and something to combat PM. Plants are flowering nicely. It's good to actually have some flowers to look at. The smell is great too. 8/24 Didn't water as it rained last night. Defoliated what was dead. Fog was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Everything is in flower. The little ice cream cake flowers don't look like they like this rain. I don't blame them. I don't remember the last time it didn't rain at night. I noticed more damage on plants or maybe old damage. Either way bud shoots are gone on a few lower limbs. I can't pull up my bags as the are firmly rooted. I checked under the five gallon buckets (which were also somehow firmly rooted) and found a shit ton of earwigs underneath. I killed what I could. I tried spraying a bug with dawn but it didn't kill it or at least didn't kill it right off. I stomped on them and tore open the earth. Logic dictates they are probably under the grow bags as well. I'm going to try Spinosid tonight. I'll look up some other methods as well. If anybody has advice please hit me up. UPDATE: Went back down at 6. Super sunny and humid today. Temp was 92 with humidity about 90%. I couldn't spray. I'll have to wait until tomorrow. Found four more moth leaves on the sick isolated plant. They must like the injured ones better. 8/25 Watered and defoliated what needed it. Buds are growing rapidly. Took pictures but have been unable to upload due to slow internet connection. Hopefully the weather will allow me to spray tonight. 8/26 Watered heavy as it's been in the 90s. Couldn't spray as it was to hot last night. Buds are tightening up. Ran out of LCPT so I need to find an alternative. Now that plants are flowering it's easier to see the damage from the earwigs. No buds where they should have been on some low branches. Not many and hopefully the few that got lollipoped will focus growth on the top. I hope I'm able to make it down late tonight to work. I was worried about my plants flowering late but that might be a blessing in disguise. I've seen lots of people losing plants to bud rot. Thanks for stopping by and please leave any thoughts or advice in the comments. 8/27 UPPED MY FEEDING REGIMEN TO THREE GALLONS AND USED TWO TBSP TIGER BLOOM IN PLACE OF KOOL BLOOM AND USED A WHOLE TBSP KELP FOR THE HEAT. This heat is killing me. Yesterday was over 95f with rh in the 90s. My medication makes the heat harder to bare. Defoliated what needed it. I'm in town looking for a fungicide. Planned to use apple cider vinegar this morning but of course I couldn't find it. Buds still rapidly forming. I'll update later. I picked up potassium bicarbonate and citric acid and have the recipe and ingredients for both diy green cleaner and green cure. Once the sun starts going down I'm going to use the potassium bicarbonate recipe. Bought a bunch of potassium bicarbonate and citric acid. I am now able to make diy versions of both green and green cleaner. I mixed 1tbsp potassium bicarbonate with 1/4 teaspoon dawn and sprayed two gallons on the plants last night. Leaves were yellowing more and traveling upward on the blueberry. Bleeding like nitrogen deficiency. I'll monitor. If plants don't improve I'll need to do a flush and an application of Spinosid. Wanted to take pics but the phone died. 8/28 Thoroughly watered today. I also had to defoliate a ton of yellow leaves on my blueberry's. I'm hoping it's not nutrient lockout. I still have three issues that could be my problem 1) the WPM 2) PISSIBLY ph fluctuation or worse w lockout and 3) earwig or inch 馃悰/ moth larvae causing damage. I'm coming out of my funk so hopefully I can fix these issues. Smell is amazing and the buds are really starting to develop. They looked bigger in the evening than they did in the morning. It was over 90掳 f yesterday and I woke up to 50 this morning. I'm sure these big temp swings don't help much. 8/30 Rained last night but I watered slightly as there wasn't much rain. ADDED TWO MORE I.R. CAMERA'S last night. I feel more secure as the area is also protected with motion sensors and a whole bunch of other stuff I'm not going to mention. Anything bigger than a porcupine and things get bright and loud and signals get sent, roads blocked ECT. Not my first rodeo deep in the Maine woods. The grow will not be left alone and hadn't been for a few weeks. Anyway I lifted a 5 gallon bucket and found more earwigs. It jives with some of the damage I've been seeing. I'm thinking of spraying spinosid instead of BT tonight. At least the buds are starting to fill in. They don't seem to bother those as much. They did bite off a bunch of grow shoots though. Either way I have a few issues to deal with. As long as the weather stays alright until October I should be fine. My ice cream cake is barely flowering and it's HUGE. I have another seed that's in a similar state. Others are further along. We shall see how things go. The little ones could be transported inside at night if necessary.

Day one of the 12th week, cutting off the nutrients I feel like it is time to flush. And what I did wrong in the beginning of this grow, was that I placed the plants too far away from the light the first 4 weeks of veg or so. My thought was too make the plants stretch taller in the beginning, but disregarding the par, the ppfd I realized too late that the branches did not get what they needed for length. These plants could have been much larger just for growers information.

Had major struggles with humidity due to cold front, but got it in somewhat better ranges. My planet of the grapes started wilted/ drooping mid week [other strains were fine]. Did some research and it turned out they needed more water.[ I normally water every other day, feed every second feed and I top dressed before flipping].I fed them, got the humidity back in acceptable ranges. I also gave them some tea [molasses, banana peels, Gaia green bloom, all purpose and worm castings] They seem to be happier. Very eager to defoliate at end of this week been taking few leaves here and there but nothing crazy. Decided to build a suspended 2ply scrog net seems to be working great. Thanks for viewing, appreciate any advice or comments. Happy growing everyone 馃尨

02/01/18 - Week 7 / Day 38 Added PK 13/14 last week as per the CANNA COCO schedule I've been following for this grow - the buds look a little more plump and I cant wait to see what the next few weeks have in store. The smell is amazing - sweet and citrusy, with a candy aroma. There is great variation in the smell of the resins from the 4 GZ plants - one of them smells like a sweet tangerine while others smell less citrusy and more sharp/pine smelling. There doesn't seem to be much of a variation in phenotype, one has a great inter-nodal distance and the other three look about the same in terms of stature. Two look identical in the shapes of their bud, one has very GG4 looking buds and the last one has the least developed buds. I think this is because it has the most lateral growth and multiple bud sites which cant get the light from the canopy - I got a little greedy and didn't want to trim these away when defoliating early flower but I looking back I regret not doing that as the other three (which didn't have nearly as many smaller side branches) are doing excellently. Alternatively, this plant could just be a couple days behind lol. More updates on 8th. Happy New Year!
