I guess I first have to extend a big thank you to James and the folks at RQS. The genetics of their “Northern Light” did not disappoint and this was a no fuss grow across all categories. This will be the only time you hear me refer to Northern Lights in the singular. It’s kinda like calling a “pickerel” a “walleye” - you just don’t do that up here😉. She took well to training, showed no signs of lockout or deficiency, and we were at the top limits of botanicare’s recommended feeding schedule the whole time. I’d call this typical NL - the scent wasn’t overly powerful, she grew somewhat squat and while I’m actually very surprised at the final weigh (thought it would be much less), the whole grow was typical of the strain in my experience. Possibly her biggest limiting factor was simply space constraints. The photos pretty obviously demonstrate that she got really crowded out by the neighbouring kush and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if she’d have done a little better with some more room. That said, what isn’t “typical” are the effects. RQS touts this as a cup winner and I can see why. Had the opportunity to sample a little and WHOA! She Hits with a lasting, cerebral and euphoric effect that starts as a light, happy high. Not a crippling or dulling effect at all. Just everything you’d expect from a well rounded strain in general. Perfect. I almost wanna describe it as a classic sativa but I’ve been smoking nothing but a pure indica for so many months now that anything different is gonna feel that way 😂. 3/25/2023 Week 6- Day 1 of Veg (Day 52 overall) Added my first between changes SILICA Top offs. Was worried that when you add it to pre mixed Nutes that it can make the whole thing turn into a gummy looking substance. I was ready to drain the system and start it over for the week if needed, but no issues adding it to the tank. the Silica going into the Res didn't gummy the system up, it did drop my PH by quit a bit causing me to have to bring it back in balance. 36 Gallons in the Tank Silica Add .5mil/Gal = 18Mil I topped some that needed to be topped, I defoliated some that needs to be defoliated. Since I have moved into Week 6 I have increased the light intensity up to just over 500 maxing it out for Veg Cycle. Next increase will be Week 1 of Flower. 3/26/2023 Week 6- Day 2 of Veg (Day 53 overall) All conditions looked great. Other than me not putting one of the humidifiers back right which means it didn't work last night so Humidity was lower than I like. But got the Humidifier back on it's stand correctly and it is now pumping away. With that I decided to give the plants a day off from any stresses, no topping, no FIMing, no Defoliation for today. Just some good old soaking up the light rays and the ability to get all the Nutes they would like.. 3/27/2023 Week 6- Day 3 of Veg (Day 54 overall) Looking kind of Bushy today, so I defoliated some, and topped some. 3/28/2023 Week 6- Day 4 of Veg (Day 55 overall) PH was a little lower than I like 5.74 so I added a few Mil of PH UP and brought it back up to 5.94. Just finishing week 4. Damn fungus gnats got me down. Laying some mosquito dunk water on them and expect / hope to have that eradicated soon. Going to do my second leaf stripping in first day or two and a second top dressing, which I do every two weeks up to week 5 or 6.

Hello, I hope you're all doing well. I'll consider this week a complete failure. When I repotted my plants, I added mulch, but it was only 3 cm thick. As a result, my plants were miserable for four days because it was too thick. The soil was cold and remained very damp due to watering during repotting. It smothered the fallen leaves, some of which even turned yellow. It seemed like a magnesium and calcium deficiency and an unbalanced pH. I re-evaluated my approach and, most importantly, added a light layer of mulch. They've recovered well. It just goes to show that a small mistake can teach you something new every day. This week, I added: 2 g of Epsom salt: This powerful mineral is pure magnesium sulfate, one of the main components of chlorophyll produced by plants. Las Zkitllez hay dos que germinaron solo con un cotiledón, una de ellas está a la par pero otra está un poquito atrasada... creciendo poco a poco pero luchando 😊😊 y otra de ellas la que salió bien está espectacular me encanta! 😍😍 Las Banana Cream 🍌 están super grandes! Creo que un poquito más de lo normal la distancia internodal parece un poco larga no sé a qué se debe... y están alimentándose de lujo

The Bruce bangers are huge and falling under there own weight but no complaints here. They are starting to produce alot of trycomes and put on weight. I'm feeding them 600 ppm every 2 days and they could still use more just worried about burning but so far they are just hungry. I harvested the white widow girl they are hanging and will give a final harvest dry weight when they are dry. 2 of the widows got some good purple but all are fire. 🔥 thanks for looking happy growing and god bless.!

I'm downloading new photos and day comments every new day, so go back and see full last week diary right now! --------------- New week starts. 🌞12.12.2022 My girls looks healthier then ever after I flushed them both with 'GHE Clean' solution and gave them 75% of nutrient's 'Pre flowering' doze. I hope this trend will last till the very end of this run. Flowering in progress! I sprayed them with 'SeaWeed' as usual and that's all for today's treat. 🌞13.12.2022 Today I watered my babies with 75% of 'GHE' nutrients plus 'Advanced PK' in a half of recommended doze. Their leaves looking downwards after the lights was ON and i think it's because of poore watering cycle or it's overheating. I increased lamp to plant distance to 40cm. I'll try to water them more often from now. I sprayed them with 'GHE Protect' solution to stimulate immune system and it's a last time i using this nutrient. Upd: 10hrs after watering they looks fantastic. It was water deficit. Flowers developing and smell increased. 🌞14.12.2022 I think my ladies like PK complex i gave them yesturday. Plus 2cm per 24hrs. More stigmas. Healthier look. Ph don't want to go down, it stays ~7 ignoring sulfur I putted in substrate two waterings ago. 'SeaWeed' spraying today and nothing more. 🌞15.12.2022 +1cm today. I changed girls diet. Now they'll take 'GHE SeaWeed' with water directly. Plus 'Advanced PK' in a 80% of recommended dose. Also I stopped giving them 'GHE Mineral Magic' and 'GHE Diamond Nectar'. They aren't necessery when flowering in progress. All other nutrients ('GHE Flora TriPart', 'GHE O.G.Bloom') - goes in amount of 75% from recommended doze. I don't want to overfeed my babies. Also, EC of solution is ~1.2 as well. PPM is 830. I think this are max numbers to reach. They were good sprayed with 'GHE Protect' once more. I'll spray them with pure water from now. Upd: Before watering all leaves are bent down (I watering my plants every 48hrs) and they are rising up in a couple hours after the procedure. I need to water them more often, but I have my job wich cause me to hold some steady watering periods. I'll wait some time more and then will shorten watering time to once per day graphic. 🌞16.12.2022 And again +1cm per 24hrs. It's nothing planned for today, only clean water spraing. Watering stays for tomorrow. I turned ON my main ventilation with two charcoal filters. There is no signs of a smell now, but it's too noisy. It's like a car engine running near my bed all the time. Well, I need to sacrifice something to get good results... I love how my BPPa#2 looks. It's big and bushy. Now You can clearly see it's future bud brunches and I'm really satisfied with it growth. #1 is much smaller and it forming not so much yields. There are signs of overfeeding on it's leaves and that's why it goes like this. I think #1 was too small when i started feed them bouth in a 'pre flowering' mode. #2 swallowed it, but #1 couldn't. I think she'll made it, with slightly smaller size, but as delicious as #2 will be. 🌞17.12.2022 I fed my girls with a seme mixture without 'G.H.Bloom' since it is bloom activator. It was really hard, because I got ill yesturday and have 38° temperature. But feeding is feeding. And clean water spraying, of course. Upd: +4cm per 36hrs (I forgot to do mesurments in the morning). 🌞18.12.2022 Nothing special today, only fresh water spraing. +1cm per 12hrs (almost 2cm) My BPPa#1 and #2 looks different. #2 already has violet colour in its stigmas nodes. #1 all white and it has smaller hight (20cm, and #2 has 28cm). It looks like different strain. I don't think it is so, but interested, why. ------------------------ Week ends.

Not much has changed this week. Both plants are growing steadily, although the previously injured plant is slightly behind the other one. I expect this difference to balance out over time. You can clearly see where the leaves were damaged earlier, and they are now growing a bit twisted and deformed as a result. The larger plant is already showing strong indica traits with big leaves and thick fingers. During the week, the plants will most likely be transplanted into a larger pot and will receive their BioTabs treatment – including nutrients and beneficial microorganisms. Basically the whole organic setup. I’m confident they’re going to love it. I’ll be away on vacation for a few weeks after this update, so some diary entries may be posted with a slight delay. The plants will be taken care of and watered during that time, and progress will still be documented. Both plants were successfully transplanted into 3.5 liter pots and received the full BioTabs treatment, including microorganisms and nutrients. The substrate is based on reused and reconditioned soil with roughly 50% perlite mixed in. The base soil is BioBizz Light Mix. Since watering is done exclusively with osmosis water, about 7 g of dolomite lime per liter of soil was added to provide proper calcium and magnesium buffering. This run marks the first time following the BioTabs “just add water” strategy. The substrate was prepared accordingly and amended with Startrex and Silicium Flash. Before placing the plants into their new pots, Mycotrex was sprinkled directly into the planting hole and one BioTab was added to each pot. After transplanting, the leaves were lightly sprayed with Boom Boom Spray. The substrate was then watered with osmosis water mixed with Bactrex. Everything went smoothly and the plants handled the transplant very well. From here on, it’s all about letting the biology do the work.
