What a journey it has been from seed! I made a lot of mistakes in the first few weeks of this growing journey. I feel like I had a mini-crash after finishing the first year of grad school, and although I am growing cannabis as part of my research project, I haven't been the greatest at paying attention to it. This is not an excuse. It has actually been a learning opportunity. I realized that my body needs proper schedules to function and grow, just like a plant. The problems with the plant have really been my own problems. Let's just say that a plant may be the reflection of the grower. First, the light cycles were wrong and inconsistent. I thought that I could manually control the light schedule for the plants and be alright. However, I was wrong. My sleep schedule has been very inconsistent for the past few months. Mainly because we are living through a pandemic, and secondly because I am a graduate student ๐Ÿ˜‚. How naive was it of me to think that a plant could follow my own rhythms? I guess it highlights my 'plant blindness.' Second, the light intensity was low and PH levels high. In the last five days, I have learned that plants are living organisms (I knew this, but my plant blindness is quick to dismiss it, I need to stop fighting these "plant voices" (signals)) that require a proper environment to grow, similar to humans. Of course, a plant is not human, but it is alive and living. It needs water, a regular schedule (light (active) /darkness (rest), oxygen, nutrients, and an overall good environment to grow. Concern about the size of my plant at five weeks, I decided to conduct a few experiments at home. Here are my notes: Friday, July 23, 2021, I took the plant out of the tent at 6:00 AM and placed it in front of my backyard window that faces the Eastside, perfect for sunrise. On that day, I had a few errands to run, and when I arrived home, it was 2:30 PM. The sun was now hitting the West side of my house, and I had to move the plant in front of my bedroom window. At around 7:00 PM, I went to look at the plant and noticed that its leaves were looking plumpy. So, I decided to take a timelapse to see what I would be able to record. During "magic hour" (sunset), I recorded and witnessed the plant moving with the rhythms of the sun. Plant, like humans, function at their best when they are synchronized with their circadian rhythm. The pandemic has definitely disoriented us to the point that it has disrupted all of our schedules. To this day, I feel tired from everything we have all been through; how could I possibly think that a plant would thrive with such a messed-up schedule? The time lapse made me realize that the plant needs some structure to thrive, and so do I. So, as much as I like to think that I can be disciplined and follow a plant's schedule, I cannot. So, I went to the store and bought the Globe Suite smart plug to automate and schedule the light cycle to 12hrs of light and 6 hours of darkness. Saturday, July 24, 2021, the plant woke up to the set schedule of the lights. I checked on the plant first thing in the morning, around 9:30 AM. The leaves look much greener and thicker than they did the day before. Sunday, July 25, 2021. I was away overnight and did not arrive home until 2 PM. The plant looks twice the size it was on Friday! Today, I will water the plant. I got a PH test kit and realized that the way that I measured the PH level, the first few weeks was wrong ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿฝ. I measured the PH correctly, to 5.9, and added some Reefertilizer grow nutrients to the water. I watered from the top, distributing the water evenly around the stem. My partner pointed to me that the lights seemed dim for the stage of the plant's life. So I had my lights set at 100 watts running at 20 % ๐Ÿ˜…. I realized that I had not increased the light intensity since the first few weeks of vegetation ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿฝ. So I increased the intensity to 100 watts running at 60%. Monday, July 26, 2021. First check-in 7:00 AM: The plant looks like it loves all of the new changes that I have made! It is finally growing ๐Ÿค— The sun is out, but it is not as intense as it should be because tiny particles of smoke are present in our air due to the wildfires, and they create a filter that makes the human eye see the sun blood red. It is quite apocalyptic. Regardless, I decided to take the plant out from the tent and record a time-lapse. It is fascinating how much movement plants have despite showing no noticeable signs of movement (to the human eye). Tuesday, July 27, 2021. It has been five days since I have made big changes to the plant's schedule and environment. The plant is finally showing good signs of growth, and its leaves colours have changed to a deep green. I am not watering the plant today, but I am spritzing it with water. I decided to take another time-lapse of the plant, but this time inside the tent. As I was setting up the tripod for my camera, I accidentally increased the humidifier ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿฝ. Luckily, I noticed within a reasonable timeframe and reduced the humidity and made the environment better. I increased the light intensity to 100 watts at 100%. The plant will stay in the tent all day today because it is raining โ˜”๏ธ.

5.01.23 Thursday Day 81 Well first things first, happy new year and apologies for minimal updates in December. Switched to 12 12 on Monday and scrogging it out this time round. The Runtz, seem to grow more than the cookies during veg and take up more nitrogen than then for sure, they're green as fuck. One of them (top left) has to be there greenest green I've ever seen on any plant ever. Hopefully they're gonna stretch nicely, I may have to remove some more lowers in a couple of weeks.

So.. the flush begins for DD#1 and #2 checking trichโ€™s and these to ladies are showing about 70% clear to 30% cloudy may finish in week nine. DD#3 still in bloom throwing tons of white hairs and purple flowers 100% clear trichs so sheโ€™s gonna get another feeding. DD# 4 is the showcase cause not only did she start out slow but sheโ€™s the only 1 of the 4 thatโ€™s started purple flowers and and is also purple leafed. Iโ€™ll continue to post some picture tonight wanted to get this up as I am flushing and pulling them out of the tent to do so. Also continue to add photo every 2 days. Updated 4/30 day 58 posted video and some new photos Day 60 really started to look at trichโ€™s since plants are definitely getting close. DD#1 looks to be my heaviest producer trichโ€™s are 60/40 no amber yet DD#2 80/20 no amber DD#3 90/10 no amber but it must be a mutation or something in the genetics cause itโ€™s no longer thickening up its foxtailing all over so she still got time and weโ€™ll see DD#4 is looking good and has a few weeks before Iโ€™ll start checking trichโ€™s on her, pistols popping white all over the place.

Hello, my amazing green-thumbed friends! Welcome to the Week 1 flower report for our beloved P.C.R.s. The transition from veg to flower is a magical time, and our plants are already showing signs of their future glory. Letโ€™s dive into the exciting details of this week! Entering the Flower Stage Our P.C.R.s have officially entered the flowering stage, and the transformation is already visible. The stretch has begun, and you can see the plants reaching up, preparing to produce those beautiful buds weโ€™re all waiting for. This stage is all about supporting their growth and ensuring they have everything they need to thrive. NutriSpray Magic This week, weโ€™ve been diligently spraying Aptus Holland NutriSpray, and the results are phenomenal. NutriSpray is like a spa treatment for our plants, providing essential micronutrients directly to the leaves. It helps with nutrient uptake, reduces stress, and boosts overall plant health. Our P.C.R.s are absolutely loving it, standing tall and proud with their leaves praying to the light. Nutrient Transition With the start of the flowering stage, weโ€™ve made some important adjustments to our nutrient regimen. Weโ€™ve stopped using StartBooster and replaced it with TopBooster, which promotes flowering and bud formation. Additionally, weโ€™ve introduced P-Boost, a phosphorus booster that enhances root development and flower production. TopBooster: Encourages larger and more abundant flowers. P-Boost: Provides essential phosphorus for robust root and flower development. NutriSpray: Continues to support overall plant health and stress reduction. Optimal Conditions Maintaining the perfect environment is crucial as we move into the flowering stage. Our TDS is now at 360, with a pH of 5.9 and a temperature of 21ยฐC for watering. These conditions are optimal for nutrient uptake and overall plant health, ensuring our P.C.R.s have everything they need to produce those beautiful, resinous buds. Care and Attention Paying close attention to our plants during this stage is key. Regularly inspecting for any signs of stress or nutrient deficiencies and adjusting care as needed ensures our plants stay happy and healthy. The love and care we put into this process are reflected in the vibrant health of our plants. In Conclusion Week 1 of flowering has been all about setting the stage for a bountiful harvest. With the help of Aptus Holland NutriSpray, TopBooster, and P-Boost, along with our careful attention, our P.C.R.s are off to a fantastic start. The excitement is building, and I canโ€™t wait to see how they develop in the coming weeks. Shout Outs A huge shout out to @aptusholland, our main sponsor, for their incredible products that keep our plants thriving. Another big thank you to @artgenetix for creating the phenomenal P.C.R. strain. And to the wonderful community at Grow Diaries and all our followers, your support and enthusiasm keep us going. Let's continue to grow together! Until next time, happy growing, and may your gardens be full with love and green! Buds are forming very well. Smell is nice and increasing. Been removing big fan old leaves so sunlight can penetrate all the plant, and concentrate energy on flowers. Organic fertilization very carefully to prevent nutrient burn.

Stretch seems to be over now. Starting to get a little bit frosty. Creeping along slowly but surely. Fed her plain water begining of the week and a little cal/mag. I'm away for new year so thought I'd upload upto today. Hopefully she packs a bit of weight on over the next few weeks Fingers crossed eh.

She's doing well, it's a pretty resilient strain in veg. Meaning in my grow she doesn't have the nest spot in the tent, she's in the back corner, but still performing well. Used General Hydroponics Trio to feed, favoring bloom nutrients. Also used TPS Signal, Recharge, and TPS CalMag.

I turned on the second light and added the scrog net this week to begin doing LST. Pinched all the new tops that were starting to come up so I get more of those precious main colas. She's loving the extra 150w of light, growth has really started to explode. Now I'm working on evening out the canopy height so that everything is even when I flip to flower. The fun has begun.
