The Cookie Girls are doing great 😊 Overall, I’m very pleased with the results so far. At day 8 I stopped tucking the branches and allowed them to grow up. In hindsight, I probably should have kept going for another couple of days. They continued to stretch rapidly all the way up to date 12 or so. At day 10 I cleaned up some of the small bud sites and leaves that were below the 1st trellis. These sites do not get enough light to make anything good, and take away energy from the main tops as they grow and compete. At day 12 I decided to add a second trellis net to provide support to the tops that came up so fast. They seem to have stopped their main stretch faze, and are looking happy and healthy now. I’ve continued my water, water, feed schedule and have not seen any cause for concern. The girls are taking a little over a gallon of water every 72 hours at this point. Humidity is being controlled automatically with my in-line fan and humidifier. RH is set to 57% and temps hover between 77-80 degrees with lights on, and about 70-72 with light off thanks to my furnace being back on for the cooler temps. The 2x4 5 gallon girl is doing great as well. 😊During the stretch, while I tucked, I snapped more than a couple of tops off, but the plant continues to thrive. She is going to have some great bud, the branch structure is nicely developed with tight node spacing. I’ve been plucking off all the lower growth, and tucking leaves as they block bud sites. Will be doing a defoliation next week.

WĂ€re auch ein Novum đŸŒ± Eins kann ich versprechen: It will take a very, very long time 😃 Schön das du es bist, der mich begleitet 👍😎

I don't think it too well to the heat/downpours - something clearly went wrong early in the flowering stage.

Lots of SCROG work this week tucking the girls in. It seems to be very rewarding but takes a lot of time. The plants seem to have grown a lot in just a couple of days this week. Really happy about that 😌 It's been a good week and it feels like some of the work put in seems to be showing. We are having some issues with the pH raising in our tank. It was 6.6 today so we lowered it. Hopefully that's not the cause of the yellowing leaf tips. Will have to keep a better eye on the pH from now on. Humidity and lack of space keeps making some leaves wet, so we put a third fan under the canopy. Let's hope the air circulation is sufficient now. We are done with defoliation for now. One lonely thrip was seen flying around the grow area but they are getting less and less. We've been anticipating flipping the flower the whole week. Got a better dehumidifier at the end of the week, and did it. Humidity was finally in check and the flower was flipped on day 41 😎 Every SCROG hole was filled with a bud site before the flip. That amounts to a crazy number of 225. Let's see how they develop!

-Seeds were germinated directly in soil 2cm deep with 60ml of pH'd mineral water and covered with cling wrap for humidity. -Lights cycle: 18/6 - Seeds popped after 3-4 days, 100% germination -Cling wrap removed after germination -Day 1 of grow is 8/10/2020 -Day 1-4 seedlings were feed pH'd mineral water -Seedlings received their first nutrient feeding on day 5 -Nutrient water pH'd at 6.3 and oxygenated with air pump + air stone -Mycoroot was fed via top dressing Struggled to get the pH with in range, I had to mess around with pH up and down to get it in the range of 6.3. The growth looks good so far just a bit worried up about the colour of the leaves. Temp varied from 26C-28C and humidity ranged between 42-52%. I had to play around with the oscillating fan speeds and positioning as well as the amount of air inlet vents. I found that just having one opened helped get the humidity up and the temp had only a slight increase. I let the oscillating fan run on its lowest setting and put off its rotating function, I also made sure the fan was not directly hitting the plants which assisted with the humidity micro-climate. The distance of the HPS was at 90cm from top of plants after the popped out of the soil, this was readjusted to 60cm once true leaves were showing. They got the first nutrient feed on day 5.

All are going strong, zkittles OG auto is nearly 30cm bigger than the rest and has started showing bud sites, the rest are not far behind at all. I think they will be into flowering stage at the end of next week and by then hopefully 30-40cm taller. Do si dos is very different, looks short and stout so will be doing some LST on her. Seems to be happy with the nutrients and strengthening nicely. Added another 600w light on 11/12/20 so 3 600w lights in now.

🌾 BlueBerry – Week 6 Flower Report Grower’s Journal | Zamnesia BlueBerry âž» đŸŒ± The Girls This Week Both BlueBerry ladies are now true queens, stretching big, stacking huge colas, and getting so heavy that yo-yos are holding them up. Without support, branches would fall under their own weight, which is a good sign of strong flower density but also a reminder of the importance of plant training. The frost continues to thicken, and the trichomes look spectacular up close, sparkling in photos and videos like tiny glass forests. âž» ⚠ Trouble in Paradise – Bud Rot But with big flowers also come risks. This week, Bud Rot (Botrytis cinerea) showed up on BlueBerry #2. ‱ Conditions: High humidity (65%+, sometimes higher) combined with dense flowers created the perfect environment for rot. ‱ Detection: Early spotting saved the plant. We caught it in time before it spread too far, but it still left its mark. ‱ Action Taken: ‱ Carefully removed every infected area. ‱ Isolated affected material to prevent spores spreading. ‱ Improved airflow around the canopy by moving plants and adjusting fans. 👉 For anyone learning, here’s a great educational read by Zamnesia: Bud Rot Grower’s Guide. https://www.zamnesia.com/grow-weed/563-bud-rot-cannabis-grower-guide âž» 🌿 Bud Rot – What It Is & How to Prevent It Bud Rot is caused by the fungus Botrytis cinerea. It thrives in humid, poorly ventilated conditions, especially inside large dense colas where moisture can hide. How to prevent: ‱ Keep humidity lower during flower (ideally 40–50%). ‱ Maintain constant airflow across and through the canopy. ‱ Defoliate strategically to open airflow inside dense plants. ‱ Avoid watering late in the cycle to reduce night-time moisture. What to do if it appears: ‱ Act quickly. Remove all affected buds immediately. ‱ Sterilize scissors/tools between cuts to avoid spreading spores. ‱ Keep monitoring daily — once it appears, it can spread fast. Bud Rot is every grower’s nightmare, but also one of the most important lessons in environmental balance. âž» 💡 Lessons Learned (and Moving Forward) This 8x8 setup is teaching us a lot. For the next run, I’ll be redesigning the airflow system entirely to prevent these issues. For now, the plants are still thriving, and catching the rot early means we can continue with this grow. Big flowers are a blessing, but they require serious air control. We’re already working on solutions, including an AC and new placement strategies, which I’ll cover in more detail on YouTube. âž» 📾 The Beauty Side Even with this challenge, the girls are stunning: ‱ Massive colas held up by yo-yos. ‱ Sparkling trichome close-ups showing the magic of Week 6. ‱ Heavy branches bending under the weight of their own production. The resilience of BlueBerry genetics shows through, they continue to push strong, healthy growth despite the setback. âž» 🔼 Looking Ahead – Week 7 What to expect: ‱ Further bulking and resin production. ‱ Stronger terpene expression, the BlueBerry scent growing richer. ‱ More vigilance against humidity and bud rot, especially as flowers keep swelling. What not to expect: ‱ Major structural changes. From here, it’s all about ripening and finishing strong. âž» 💬 Final Thoughts Week 6 has been both a celebration and a reminder: heavy, beautiful flowers need perfect conditions to stay healthy. Bud rot may have appeared, but it was caught, managed, and turned into a learning moment for this run and for future ones. The BlueBerry ladies are still shining, still heavy, still legends in the making. This is why we grow, why we learn, and why we share, because even challenges make the story richer. đŸ“Č Don’t forget to Subscribe and follow me on Instagram and YouTube @DogDoctorOfficial for exclusive content, real-time updates, and behind-the-scenes magic.
