This week has been all about maturation. I’ve been watering only with plain water, starting the flush to clean the roots before harvest. The buds are looking dense and compact, covered in a nice layer of trichomes that keep getting frostier day by day. The lower leaves are yellowing, which is normal at this stage since the plant is using up the remaining nutrients stored in the foliage. Trichomes are mostly clear with some turning milky, so I think she will be ready for harvest in about a week. Overall, the plant looks healthy and stable, with tight bud formation and a great aroma coming out. Even though she stayed quite small, she’s packing some nice, solid flowers. Update Day 14 flowering : These Gorillas are behaving themselves well considering the 35°c here in the uk . They have been keeping busy with their bud stacking . Their pheno differences are more noticeable now as they space their nodes and settle into full flower production #1 is no longer the big beast and has been overtook by #3 by a good 5 inches. #2 is stacking up nicely but remains a lot smaller than the others. #4 is plodding along at the back of the room in her own space. All the buds are looking good and a few are starting to colour up already !!. beautiful strain already so can only imagine their finished result. Hoping the heatwave passes quickly now as it is way too hot here at over 35°c outside.

for all of these strains I am putting the dry weight. this strain was in 3rd place in the tent this harvest and overall this plant was one of the stronger ones. She suffered the most from the ph mishap earlier on in the grow

Another slow but steady week of growth

On the first day of this week, I topped the plants after the 5th node. 3 days later I switched to 12/12. The reservoir wasn't quite empty yet, so I didn't fill it this week, but I probably will at the start of the next one. Plants are growing quickly now, the yellowing in the BJ and NYC has also pretty much recovered, nutes seem to be fine at the moment. I fear they might grow taller than I'd like them to, but I guess we'll see. I just hope I don't have to put in the net this time, as I like to reserve the option of taking them out of the tent. I also bought an RO filter, which I am probably going to use the next time I fill the reservoir.
