Harvest time! Only this time there were some problems that made me take another approach. The thrips are still active so I thought it would not be very wise to lock them up together with the bud inside a paper bag. So I’ve decided to just cut the entire top part of the plant main stem and all, and hang them inside the top of the tent. But ofcourse not before I have given them a thorough shake. Then from the lower part of the plant where still some bigger buds, which I’ve also cut, trimmed and shaken clean, before they did ended up inside the bag, leaving just the lowest part of the plant with all of the small buds I’ve intended to use to germinate and create some seeds. At this point the remaining part of the plants are inside my small garden greenhouse, and I’ll keep you posted if it’s going to succeed. Normally I’d preferred to trim the bigger leaf from the wet branches, then dry inside my paper bag and finally trimming the dry buds for bringing up the final bag appeal. Only now I’d chose to only remove the fan leaf and hang drying. I turned the ventilation almost on the lowest setting during drying. As I said with the strain review, I’m happy with the results from plant A and C. Plant B started revegging, and thus ended up with a lower end weight. A shame because it had the biggest buds. The positive thing about dry trimming is that you don’t actually have to trim anything, it takes a bit more time, but you can literally push the leafs from the bud.

Day 12F-19F (May 3rd - May 10th) (Day 13) Pots are still super heavy and I don’t see these things drying out anytime soon so we’ll see over the next few days. Still no signs of overwatering. (Day 14) I’m going to do a little lst. Better late than never and since the pots are saturated the stems are bendier. I noticed they were quite droopy during lights off but are praying by lights on. (Day 16) Man these things are filling out slow. I’m going to drop the light a few inches and see if that helps at all. Definitely no early trichs. (Day 19) So I haven’t had to water at all in the last 10 days and the pots are still quite heavy. Oddly enough, I still see no signs of overwatering. Perlite did it’s job I guess.

Commencing Week 14 - 6th week of flowering - Day 92 from germination - Day 42 of 12/12 on January 23rd D.98/48 wooooooooooooooooh this Garden is super stinky right now in a good way 👃💪👍👌👏😁 The colors are changing up beautifully signaling the end of life and the beginning of a whole new level of appreciation for these beautiful flowers 💚 - 💛🧡💜❤️ I'm currently under the impression that hydroponics can speed up production, (in my experience with organic growing growth is a little slower and as well as the ripening / muturation rate) so I'm may even be able to harvest a majority of this a few days early. There is also a few tricks I might employ in order to speed this process up. It's fine by me either way I can wait so we'll see 😁 So far this has been my first successful indoor DWC grow in quite some time and I am very patiently yet very anxiously awaiting the time when I can enjoy the fruits of my labor. at this point as long as I don't mess anything up it should be smooth sailing right up to the very end which is now what I am looking forward to the most coming up: the harvest and smoke report To all the breeders so I put in the hard work for for me and allowed me to grow their strains thank you! To all the fellow growers and enthusiast who have been paying attention and chiming in from time to time I especially appreciate you and thank you for your patience in dealing with my late updates. 12/8 - Here we are at the beginning of week 10. Her buds are starting to frost up and she is definitely bulking up more than her sister, but her sister has a longer projected flowering time-frame (Heavy Sativa vs Indica). Anyways, did some minor pruning for airflow optimization and to remove some unhappy leaves from her undergrowth. They weren't yellow, but they weren't getting enough light and it was showing. Haven't done much to her this week other than top her off with Tap every other day. Seems like her feed from last week was on point as her pH and EC were solid as the water level lowered. After her first top-off, her EC started to fall as she ate more (reflected in the lower ec in the res after topping off with tap). Tapered her down to 80% strength as she is moving further along in flower and should hopefully finish sooner than her sister. If she needs a bump in her EC, I may top off with full strength nutes, but I'm going to just wait and see how she responds. Breeder's timeline reflects a ~65 day seed-to-harvest, but I can assure anyone out there growing this strain in DWC that she will not be ready in that time-frame. Currently she is sitting on day 67 and still looks like she has another 2 weeks or more. I grew her in soil before and she was ready pretty darn close to her expected time-frame (~70 days), but this strain responds to DWC differently. She didn't have slow growth or anything; just seems like she will veg longer in hydro than in soil. Not sure why. Thanks for stopping by the garden, and, as always, Happy Growing!

Another stellar week here. Not much to note this week since there wasn't any lollipopping or much defoliation. Girl is now on auto pilot. Just watering every couple days. Had to spray some medicine again as there was a few bite marks from spidermites. May not get rid of em but can keep them at a lower number until harvest otherwise I would love to get rid of em but don't know the likelihood of that happening. Currently in the tent at 12/12 light schedule and have the lights running at night so cold of the night doesn't stunt any growth.

This weeks going great, bud development is really picking up and so is the aroma that quickly hits you the second you open the tent, I'd say this strain smells very different to most other strains ive grown, this pheno has a super sweet smell with a slight diesel undertone that almost stings your eyes. No issues other than I have had to move the light up a few inches due to bleaching.
