It's amazing how quickly the weather can change. Just a few weeks ago we were bundled up in our warmest coats, and now it's finally starting to feel like springtime. With temps in the 40s and 50s, it's the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the sunshine. My pound cake plant is finally getting somewhere. It's totally weird, because the stems turned this super cool purple color. Soon it's going to be covered in pound cake buds that'll be ready to eat. I'm thinking fancy frosting might be the way to go, but I'm also considering something fruity on top.

Back into Veg again, never Lollipoped anything before. Was tough not cropping them buds lol the few I did have to were delicious! In the big square green pot to the left of the little silver haze X critical XXL is several different cuttings off three different zkittles plants. One showing bright purple buds the other is less colourful. The silver haze X critical XXL has had the lowest branch converted to produce male sacs for seeds wasn't very successful so I'm lollypoping to try again. The other Greenhouse has my favourite large Zkittles which I had a few buds off! Superb taste. Three chocolate skunk in the same pot two smaller one where fully converted to male. Had all the best cola buds of her also delicious smoke. Aim is to cross chocolate skunk with zkittles hopefully with more success this time round!

How is it growing, my fun(k) loving friends? ***INFO*** For more on my setup, why it was monster cropped, and how I made the canopy, see Germination page and subsequent weeks. They had 48 hrs of darkness, and the time has come to say goodbye to my friends. I thanked them again, spend some time with them, and under the sound of Amazonian shaman's harvest and healing songs (will post link), asked for their gifts, and apologized for taking their lives. I do this while in contact with the plants, touching, smelling them, observing every detail, no thoughts, just in the present moment. I feel emotional as I do this and remember how they were a companion, a source of distraction in a time of worry, sadness, and loss. How they already comforted me and kept me company in a time of painful insights about honesty, commitment, and staying true to myself. I thank them again for their wisdom and gifts, viva Santa Maria, viva Planta Maestra, may the mother of all beings give us healing and protection. And I proceed with the harvest as I visualize my intentions with every cut. Branch by bud laden branch is tenderly untangled from the scrog net, taken with a clean-cut and immediately hung upside down in the grow tent, which will now double as a curing and drying room. A couple more weeks and we will have the final cured and dried weight. More photos and movies will follow, this is where we are so far!! So the grow had dried in 7 days, what I wanted to be 14 at least. Thankfully, its Sativa ancestry shines through, the smoke isn't harsh, the buds a sticky and smelly, no hay smell at all. We ended up at 246 grams, excluding a shitload of larf and popcorn bud, totaling at 310 grams all in, a first at a gram per watt for me, but for the Zambeza seed competition, I stated we would only weigh the quality bud. Overall I'm very happy!! left the girls to settle into their new environment. Have been watering every 4 days or so, not much rain this week. Plants are looking good and showing some signs of leaf growth which means the roots have already branched out. Chitosal as a root drench is supposed to help with drought tolerance and salt stress, no salt stress here as we are organic. Next week things to do: 1) spread and re-stake plants. 2) create a top amendment feeding and watering bowl under each plant with some chicken wire.

Cette auto pousse déjà comme une dingue – typique des genetics rapides – avec des tiges qui se renforcent et des feuilles qui s’élargissent bien. Le Super Soil avec Aptus donne une explosion de vert, et malgré un pH encore un peu capricieux en début de semaine, tout s’est stabilisé. Objectif : construire une structure dense avant que l’auto ne bascule en flo d’elle-même (prévu vers semaine 4-5). État des PlantesLes Jealousy Diesel Auto sont en mode turbo : hauteur moyenne 10-12 cm, avec 3-4 nœuds visibles. Les racines explorent bien le Super Soil, et la couleur feuille est un vert profond grâce à l’apport naturel des nutriments. Pas de LST/FIM cette semaine – je laisse l’auto s’exprimer naturellement pour l’instant, mais je surveille pour un éventuel topping léger si un dom domine trop. Surprisingly, a really strong smelling little girl here. She came a long way. I am expecting some really good seeds from her as she ripens in the coming weeks.

Went crazy with LST as I'm anticipating that stretch as they decide to start flowering through the week! I'm so excited the 2 with the older soil happily took nutrients almost to the point I could have went even full strength. The grobiotics is a special formula I got a sample of from a close friend. It consists of canna leaf, organic molasses and lacto bacillus!!!! It was great for improving the life of my soil I look forward to buying it when it becomes available it's not really available yet as far as I know. It improved my microbial life 100% my soil is definetly living and these plants are super happy. I hope you guys are enjoying these diaries as much as I am. Day 7 flowering: Well growmies, what a week this has been. These ladies have bought their A game to the party it seems. I have spent the week constantly moving stakes and re seating restrained branches. They are all responding really well to the different methods used to exploit their growth in the l.e.d . The topped girls are vigorously pushing the 4th nodes as mains and ate spreading out nicely to their pots edges. The #1Amnesia has really burst into life and is a huge cabbage of a girl. Leaves are nice and thick with a rubbery strength thanks to the silicon additions i think. Lots of huge fan leaves to power those thickening stems holding the numerous growing tips. I think she will be a very productive girl come harvest time Her Fim has given her a monster looking main head along with some really big secondary branches fighting through the thicket. An amazing looking lady already. #2 is also looking very nice too with her main shape now being "bush" instead of rectangular. Again lots of staking and leaf tucking will get the best from this productive girl. #3 is similar to #1 bit not as big looking in scale. She is pushing the plant next to her already so will need to be really held firm with some wire and brute force!. The 2 Girl scout cookies are a lot smaller looking in general but as a different hybrid mix , I am not surprised. They have both been opened right up with strong pegging and a week of constant training. The stems on them both will no doubt hold some nice sized fruits as they stewtchbinto space and with so many bud sites exposed to the lights , it should help boost the final yields. The 4th nodes on the #2 have set so perfectly to keep this training ongoing this way. Now the smaller sites can themselves see the light direct , they should also avoid just being popcorn buds and attempt to be the big boss. I am more than happy with their growth this week and commend Zamnesia for the genetics. Beauties in the making now. Until next time growmies, be lucky
