This week, I decided to take her structure to the next level by topping a few branches, and let me tell you—she’s loving it. 🌿 The growth is vigorous, and she’s shaping up beautifully to maximize her potential for flowering. Branch Topping: Building a Strong Framework After recovering beautifully from her initial topping at node 7, it was time to refine her structure further by topping a few branches. For each branch, I left two nodes to ensure strong, healthy growth while encouraging a bushier canopy. Why Top Branches? Topping isn’t just for the main stem—it’s an essential technique for creating an even canopy and increasing yield potential: 1. Encourages Lateral Growth: By removing the top of a branch, the plant redirects its energy into the remaining nodes, encouraging side shoots to grow and fill out. 2. Maximizes Light Penetration: A bushier plant with more branches ensures that all parts of the plant get access to light, reducing shading and improving photosynthesis. 3. Improves Structure: A strong, evenly distributed framework sets the stage for a healthier plant that can support larger buds during flowering. The decision to leave two nodes per topped branch ensures a balance between promoting growth and avoiding unnecessary stress. It's Saturday night as i type this. Week 7 doesn't officially begin till Monday but i fed tonight cuz they needed it so i decided to get this over with tonight. Runtz is billed as a 9 week finish. So these girls are still putting on weight so it may very well be 9 to finish. Tonight i staked all the plants and tied up sagging branches. Plants again fed full dose of bloom nutrients. There's noticeable Thrip damage on lower leaves, but the crop is close and the lady bugs have kept those little fuckers in check. When i found out i had a Thrip infestation in late summer i was pondering killing all my mothers and cleaning everything and have my operation sit idle for a month to knock out any and all Pests. Fortunately i opted to go the lady bug route. I released 700 lady bugs into my operation and have harvested the bugs off the last crop and deployed them to the next crop. I've been soaping my mother's but i'm not consistent in doing that so the Thrips persist. Next crop will be i think 6 Zake in 5 gal fabric pots in Coco.

Hi all👨‍🌾👋 Welcome to my another week update Hope everyone keeping well 🧑‍🌾 Week 6 Mar 8 - Mar 14 It was another easy and exciting week. Everything going absolutely great. Both girls stretched nicely despite selective defoliation on Mar 9. They bounced back almost immediately. Started adjusting mixtures towards removing fish mix completely and replacing with Bio grow. In coming week will adding bio bloom and top max to mixture. There was 2 waterings of 3ltr on Mar 9 + last foliar feeding and second on Mar 13 and it was first large feeding 6 ltr beetwen both. Surprisingly only a few drops of runoff. Watering in stages of approx. 500ml every 20-30min. Decided to not install a scrog this time as want to have opportunity to apply more old school methods of training and to be able to remove/rotate girls easily. Let's see if this will pay me off. Started her flip on 7-23. Full strength Success Transition feed, Acilamated Went a bit overboard on the pictures. But she wakes up at a different time. 🤘

Very resisant strain,grows thick colas.This strain needs a proper veg time as they are short plants.Nutes wise it's a medium to heaver feeder.

Grow dots added at beginning of grow. I’d say it’s working great. And it’s simple. Cal-Mag added in reservoir 1tsp/1gal Recharge .5tsp/2.5gal -fed 1L

Day 114. Gorilla Max is totally ready, maybe she would bulk up, but last white pistil went brown at least a week ago. Time to trim. Bud not solid, but kinda hard, bottom all airy and small, but she smells and sticky like hell, so fruity ... Had to chop her, because got tiered of seeds everywhere, so cleaned my draws and fridge, from 45 found bag seeds started new diary, had to make space for them. Want to try out 12/12 from start and even if i would leave them under natural sun , they would stretch too much in first stage of grow and would repeat that grow patern indoors. Scissors hash was nice, super soft, hard to roll, all stays on hands. On this plant found two seeds, maybe some hidden in colas, but its not even close to bad that i was imagining at the beginning. My watering damage is obvious, Gorilla Max and Bunny were best plants, now - they are smallest... Last weeks very important, till week 5 of flower and that incident they were leaders, overdrying don't work . Hope i will learn this lesson. Day 120. Last 3 girls are down. Gorilla Max - 88 g. Of dry bud. Think she and Bunny will be smallest of them all. Buds are airy, but very sticky and all calaxies went pink. So in spliff it looks really funky. Needed to lolitop them higher, maybe overall look and cola structure would be better then. Lanky Gorilla is a champ, no doubt. Think this girl should beat 4 ounces easy. Day 126. So total of all 4 plants is 401. A bit less than was hoping, but target achieved. Update will follow.

10/13 Day 15 and one week in the large pots. Still no need of watering not concerned as the pots are reasonably fertile, right now they are busy building roots which is just fine. Veg growth will increase just any time now. 10/15 First Watering/feed since transplant a week ago Fish Sh!T 5ml / Cal-Mag 5ml per gal @ 6.1 ph Each got 0.5 gal though I fear some over watering is unavoidable this time think only Maggie is showing the symptoms. 10/16 Explosive growth, more than an inch on Layla and the others are getting it together. May be getting a handle on this. 10/19 The uptick in Brandy and Maggie was not to continue and they worsened making an attempt to fix the issue with a 6.1 PH root drench of Cal-Mag 5ml and Kangaroots 10ml / gal about 2 gal for each plenty of runoff that tested at 6.1 PH. Layla looking great watering tomorrow 10/20 Update Made a spray of 6.5ph water with one tbs / gal Epson Salts and really soaked the leaves of both plants in attempt to help these poor guys, know a new week is due will get to it later 10/21 update When pots dry a bit using a solution of one cup hydrogen peroxide to one gal of 6.5 ph water (lowering ph has done nothing so going back to middle of the road) using as foliar spray as well, not sure if waiting on pots to dry first is called for here so yall chip in if you wish

I was a little disappointed with yield but do have about 60g of trim that was too fluffy to bother with trimming . I’m thinking of making bubble hash

The plants are looking good and are drinking around 0.5l a day of ph6.0 water and are now getting BioCanna Veg, around 3 drops from a tablespoon to sart with. Helaas niet veel te vertellen, de tent blijft gewoon op juiste temperatuur, de ventilator blaast en de lamp is een kanon op 40%, elke week zal ik deze opvoeren tot ze in week 5 100% is.

So harvest time finally. Only 2 plants at the end but still I am happy with the result. After cutting them I placed them for 4 days inside the dark tent. I struggle a bit with the humidity as the air was really dry. So now its time for curring. I have placed the bud inside jars. Lets wait for a few weeks to have a first try !
