Cherry Limeade is the bright, tart expression from Freeborn Selections, a clone discovered by Mean Gene from Mendocino as a Cherry Pie bagseed in the early Cookies era. With the Lime 1 as a pollen source, this selection remains a true clone-only cut, prized for a zesty nose that blends fresh-squeezed lime, sugared citrus peel, and a pastry-like cherry sweetness. Expect dominant terpenes in the limonene–caryophyllene–myrcene lane, which helps explain its lively top notes over a warm, spicy backdrop. In the garden it shows a medium stature with strong lateral branching, stacking golf‑ball colas that can blush with color in cooler finishes. Indoors it typically wraps in 56–63 days, rewarding attentive growers with a solid, high yield around the 450 g/m² mark, while outdoor specimens can hit roughly 500 g per plant when given room and full sun. The flavor carries through true to the jar - limeade brightness over sweet cherry and light citrus rind - while the effect opens with an uplifted, happy spark and a clean, energetic glide before settling into an easygoing cruise. Parentage is clearly stated: Cherry Pie (bagseed clone) as the mother, with the father Lime 1; the selection credit belongs to Freeborn Selections and its author, Mean Gene from Mendocino.
