Jamaican

Jamaican refers to an extremely diverse type of landrace, with three dominant phenotypic variations being Westmoreland types (shorter, fruiter), Blue Mountains types (tall, spicy, pine), and St. Anna’s Parish types (citrus, sweet). This landrace descended from African sativas that reached the region between the 17th and 19th centuries through the colonial trading routes. On the palate, Jamaican brings a delightful blend of high notes, citrus, spice, and cedar. The effects are obviously Sativa-driven, causing an energetic uplift with mental clarity, the urge to get things done, and sometimes psychedelic-like thoughts that can become overwhelming for inexperienced consumers. Medically, Jamaican is a great strain when dealing with depression, chronic fatigue, and social anxiety. It can also induce appetite. This Sativa-only strain grows tall and requires a lot of patience, with a flowering cycle that can last anything between 12 and 16 weeks. Expect the need to provide proper support and training towards the end, but yields will be plentiful.
