White Widow

Nanas, early to prevent contamination. 20.5g after 8 day dry. Could be worse.

It was my first strain, and I knew I needed one to handle the wave of mistakes. Being a beginner, I think I did pretty well, ending up with around 50g. The high is pleasant and manageable. At first, it was exciting—thoughts and happiness are its highlights. The flavor is smooth, and I haven’t even started the curing process yet. Huge thanks to Nirvana for this amazing buzz!

She grew greatly, no problems at all. Since she still had white pistils it's not the easiest strain for beginners I guess.

War sehr schön zu growen.. war anfangs nicht so buschig wie ein Skunk z.B. also auch in der Wachstumsphase ein gewisses Höhenwachstum was dann LST & co sehr schön umsetzbar macht;-) Was mir nicht gefiel war mal wieder der extreme Unterschied der Pflanzen in der Spätblüte.. sollte mal über Steckies nachdenken oder halt nur eine Lady ins Zelt stellen..

Easy growing and rewarding plant to grow. Lived up to my expectations of the white widow I saw growing up and the flavor is nostalgic. Some of the stickiest and frostiest buds I have grow so far. Just as potent as any other modern crosses that are known for their potency. I like that the effects are balanced and not too sedative and have a good mix of pain relive while still keeping my mind stimulated and focused. The flavor is this sort of fuel minty eucalyptus vibe. Very refreshing.

this pheno offered a clear headed, balanced buzz with a plentiful flavor of orange incense dipped in diesel. day or night, starts cerebral and ends stony. frosty, pale colored and golf-ball shaped buds. grows in towering, stacked colas. stable genetics, though gene expression varies by the grow

Super plant for climate change

Had thripse, electric fallout, and too much fertilizer. Temperature was 28 degress but with dehumidifier i was able to stay in the vpd The strain is very stable in my opinion other strains would not even survive that treatment

I first went to Amsterdam in 1997 . This was the first time I ever smoked White Widow. I think just like hearing Appetite for Destruction for the first time that this was a defining moment in my life. I had just experienced something that would forever set the bar. White Widow is ranked 19th best weed ever in High Times which is pretty damn good considering how many thousands of strains there are now. Due to restrictions brought in by the government in Holland there is now a THC limit on weed sold in coffeeshops. White Widow is no longer at its cannabis cup winning levels of 25% like it was in the 90’s and early 2000’s. I recently bought White Widow in Leiden and it was labeled as being 18% THC. It still tasted beautiful but just not the same. This is what prompted me to try growing some White Widow myself. Up to now I have only ever grown Autoflowers because of the ease and convenience .I think my first venture into photoperiods was always going to be White Widow though, It was inevitable ️️️️ Like most people I got sucked into the whole influx of all these new wonderfully named high THC strains like ‘Gorilla Girl Scout Mint Choc Gelato Dosi Punch Pie OG Cookies’. I really do think breeders have lost the run of themselves with all the crossings of strains. I recently smoked a strain which when I checked it’s genetics I found was a cross of around 14 stains and each of these 14 strains were a cross of around another 14 strains all of which contained Chemdog in their genetics which I think means I was just smoking Chemdog in the end and I’m not a fan of any weed I’ve smoked that even has a tiny little bit of Chemdog in it’s genetics. It’s a bit like cinnamon, you either love it or hate it. This is just a preference thing obviously and my preference is simple genetics and especially Amsterdam weed from the 90’s. This White Widow is exactly how I remember it, amazing. Nicest Weed Ever

1 seed had a bad genetic and did not yield AS much AS the other 2. The other two were fantastic. Would recommend 8/10.

More comments to come after the drying and curing process completes. I will keep this section updated as the process progresses over the coming months. Of course a smoke report will not be possible until then. 8/16/24 Growing Comments - This strain did not get off to a good start, out of 3 germinated seeds, only one successfully emerged from the coco. - Once growing, it did OK, though seemed a bit fussy with pH in veg and was susceptible to chlorosis, though this was manageable - Responded well to topping and mainlining - Plant stayed very manageable in the grow tent as far as height - Plant was a bit on the bushier side, so aggressive defoliation was helpful (more would have been better)

Good Strain

For my very first grow they did very well from what I can tell they are very potent smell is amazing and had a blast and learned a lot growing them. One issue I had was I feel like they ended up kind of small, this could be my fault partly but I cloned one and sitting next to my other strains from seed they still look small and very bushy. Overall awesome grow and may visit again depending on how the smoke is. Ps 161 is dry and trimmed weight
