Potassium deficiency on wedding cake 2 which I hope to solve soon after giving it today an higher dose of potassium/phosphorus. Apart from this the flowers of the plants are getting bigger day by day, plus I’ve been testing the light for 3 days now that I lowered from 30 to 20cm from the main buds, there are no signs of burns for the moment .. if I put my hand at the same height as the plants, I don't feel the heat at all, so I think I will leave the light at this distance for the moment if it won't cause any problems. happy growing to everyone! 💚
Time ago i bought a professional PH tester from Apera instruments, and after a few months all i can say that it was one of my best purchases, as the accuracy of the values is always excellent.. if there was some problem of PH to the plants i take all the responsibilities as I made some mistakes.. more unfortunately I am still using a cheap TDS/EC tester and this sure does not help. so I decided to buy a professional one, next week i will get this second upgrade of a certainly higher level, in order to definitively have the appropriate devices to better calibrate values of my water so as not to have more problems of this type. 😊💚
This week flushing the wedding cake i thought that was the problem was an excess of nutrients, but instead the water was quite clean, around 1100ppm at the first drain, after several flushes water is now on 600ppm..
It seems that the others are starting to have the same deficiency that hit wedding # 2 .. now I'm treating them with 0.5ml of cal-mag adding it to the other nutrients for once a week (except wedding # 2)
I will wait for the soil to dry out, to give her only clean water since the final harvest is not long.
⚠️ UPDATE DAY 45 ⚠️
Yesterday flush for dos si dos and today flush for (wedding cake 1) they are having a nutrient lockout too..😪 The (wedding cake 1) is clearly healthier than her sister (wedding cake 2) by looking at her color, but unfortunately she had excessive PPM / EC too.. So i did the same procedure by using only tap water, but this time added only 0,5ml of cal-mag. Water was at 6.5 ph until I got a better runoff, it went from 5.7 to 6.0 PH and from 1800 to 700-600ppm 😬 I have never thought of overdoing nutrients so much.. I will certainly learn a lot from these mistakes 🙌🏻
The girls are recovering well.. They certainly haven't given up! So they have a lot to give on the next few remaining weeks, flowers daily increase their volume.. 🙌🏻📊
⚠️⚠️⚠️ I apologize unfortunately I made the mistake of putting an extra week of flowering in the diary. SO THE CURRENT WEEK IS THE EIGHTH AND NOT THE NINTH ⚠️⚠️⚠️
but ignoring this problem..😅 The flush week has begun! these plants have a very clean runoff already from the first irrigations of this week, this due to the previous flushes due to an excess of fertilizers. In addition i bought a little fun and useful gadget to see the trichomes up close and their colors in the final days.. So I added some macro shots, I hope you like the update of the diary! I wish everyone an healty grow. peace and love my brothers ☮️💚
📈📈📈 UPDATE 17/04/21 📈📈📈
Week 9 -Day 63 flower- (92 total days)
I am very happy with how strong these plants remained, despite some problems that have been there..
Anyway even in this adventure i learned a lot and I hope to improve even more over time. 🤞🏻😬
Now i will leave these plants hanging down for a week at least ..once they lost most of their moisture i will do a final trim, put the clean nugs in the jars and let them dry for another three weeks or so.. opening the jars daily to allow the buds a correct final drying.
Pheno #1 it has a very sharp flavor like a sweet candy, same for the smell. Buds are a little “airy” towards the medium/low parts while higher parts are more compact, but nothing exaggerated.
Pheno #2 same at her sister she mainly developed airy buds which I don't prefer for my taste. This one it taste very different as well as the smell, reminds me a kush smell.. the flavor instead is very particular also difficult to describe. it has something acidic and at the same time a taste of woods, I don't mind as it is very out of the ordinary.. but sure it is not among my favorites
Its finally done! So on the next days buds will continue to dry regularly in their jars. The total weight of the two wedding cake was (82g)..on the next few weeks I will continue to check their weight, while the total weight of their trim was 34.1g which i will use them asap in order to wash some hash.
I did some tests with some small buds to feel the flavors and get an idea of what I would expect.. I was struck by how different the two wedding cakes are. with both the smell and the look of the buds.
I will post other updates with photos in the coming days!
Thanks fam for the support! 💚
Dos Si Dos # 33 ready for drying in the jar, honest weight (53,5g) seeing the structure which was very small I would have expected something less..
but I am very satisfied. the quality of this weed is absolutely at the top, the taste is very well defined.. when smoked it makes your nose tingle, flavor it is mainly pure lemon with a hint of mint in it. even the strong smell induces an entire room in a few seconds without even smoking it yet.
I also collected a 0.4g of scissor hash which turned out very well.
it is my favorite in this crop because it surprised me in everything both for its unique terpene profile and for its yield that I never expected given its size compared to wedding cakes.
the total weight therefore of all three plants is (135.5g) and a total trim of (44.9g)
that according to the calculations even of these crops I reached (1g/watt) precisely. (And im not a pro)
I am certainly satisfied with that. 🙌🏻💚
@Hashdestroia, absolutely bro! Apera Instruments and Bluelab are serious companies, certainly they are more expensive than PH calibrating drops or chinese PH testers, but sure it's worth it to have your water at the best for your plants.
@Lazuli, Absolutely! I recommend it, especially for those who love lemon/gassy flavors.
All the buds were dense fully filled with trichomes, then big and hard like golf balls.
Breaking them they release acid lemon terpenes that invade a room! A real treat imo! 😎
