--- GERMINATION ----- First Seed inserted today @00.30 H : 46% T : 27 °C EC: 0,4 PH : 6 Illumination VEG : 18/24 My First Try: really excited 😎 Aftyer a week: lesson learned: vaporization add about 20% of humidity a very quick way to raise H is to put inside the box a boling water cup (+30% in 30 min) a fan flush decrease the H very quickly (-20 % in 3-5 min) 1h lighting raises T of 7 degree in the range 20-30 The T and H sensor should be very close to the plant On Friday I will setup up the pot and I will make the water balancing EC on 0,7 PH on 6.0

I made the germination in a rockwell cube, nothing happened on the top, but hopefully something is growing on the botton. Is this a root or the upper part of the plant ? And it's normal to see the root before the plant ? Thx J

Yes, this is the root. The plant should pop through the top soon enough. And yes, the root will grow down before the seedling emerges through the surface. Hope this helps,........ Organoman.

Pot Time ! In water balacing: consider to start with a mixture of normal and distilled water when you need a low EC Modified water balancing because EC and PH was too high. You need to decrease your ph down to 5.8 and your ec up a little 5 to 600 ppm 1.0 to 1.2 ec. When new growth gets better then increase your feed 100 ppm every week until you hit 8, maybe 900 ppm, 1.8 ec. When you switch to flower you need to then decrease your bloom nutes to 1.4 or 5 ec 700 to 750 ppm. Work your way up every week 100 ppm until you reach 8 or 900. Cheers

Little bit worried about the brown spots described here:. https://growdiaries.com/grow-questions/31630-brown-spots-on-the-first-2-leaves Today I balanced the water increasing the EC to 1 and PH to 5.8 adding calmag. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Lesson Learned: DO NOT EXCEED IN NUTS 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 I hope that can help MaryJane to get more manganese and magnesium. 04/04/21 -- All changed : as I don't like how plant is growing , I completely changed the water, trying to get a good PH. PH: Now the PH is 5,7 and I hope it won't change a lot. EC: The EC is 1.38 a little bit higher than desidered, but I hope is ok.

I'm not sure why, but I don't like the way she's growing :( I supposed that my plant problem is the over watering. So no I inserted an air pipe directly in the rockwool cube to give more oxygen to the roots and let they get more nutrients. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Lesson Learned: IN THE NEXT SET UP ADD A STONE WITH AIR PUMP DIRECTLY IN THE BASKET 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 I will leave the pipe all night and see how the plant will look tomorrow. Cross fingers.

I'm trying to figure out what is the problem with the growing of my plant. The upper leafs are quite normal, even if they tend to bend downwards. The old leafs start with brown spots and then they become yellow and curled on the peaks. Please help me to understand what's going on

Hey man, Not to fear this is normal if you are using some kind of feed that stains your reservoir. If you want fresh white healthy roots your going to haveto find some hydroponic nutrients that are clear after adding to the water. It is defenatly not root rot. You are highly unlikely to get root rot in a dwc system as there is too much movement an air passing through the root system at all times not allowing any nasties to settle :) as you can tell its not effecting growth in anyway. Ive been growing dwc for around 2 years on here now and I run into this problem early on i switched nutes and have not had any problems since. also you must be aware that over time the roots will change colour anyway they will go from bright white to a more orangey browny kind of colour towards the end of a grow and this again is compleatly normal and does not effect growth in anyway. Something you can do is add a small donunt humidifier to the bucket when the lids are closed this would constantly mist the top half of the bucket encourage more root growth overall :) Hope this helps Happy cultivation.

All new in this 4th week ! Thx to my friend @YYCannabis I completly changed the way to grow. 1) new pot with a new water level (10 liters just below the basket) 2) only few nutrients for now: micro, grow and calmag 3) a low EC (for now is 1 but Im ready to raise it if needed) 4) new policy about grow management based on the changes of water, EC and PH following a chart for corrective actions 5) more control on Temp and Humidity 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Lesson Learned: WATER JUST UNDER THE BASKET FOLLOW THE PLANT NEEDS. IF SHE ASKS FOOD THEN GIVE HER FOOD, BUT IF SHE DOESN'T THEN DO NOT. PAY ATTENTION TO PH, TEMP, HUMIDITY START WITH A LOW EC AND ADD NUTS ONLY IF NEEDED GET A ROOT PROTECTOR AS HYDROGUARD 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 I will see how she will react to this new method and I will make correction if needed 20/04 - Added fertilizers, raised EC, lowed PH. 21/04 - Added fertilizers, raised EC, lowed PH. 22/04 - Made Defoliation and LST 23/04 - Made Defoliation and LST

Your res will tell you. If your EC is 1.18 and dropping daily, then yes, feed more. If it's 1.18 and rising, then you are feeding too much and need to lower your EC. When your EC remains constant (or close to) day after day you will know that you are feeding at appropriate levels. Large fluctuations in heat, RH, or pH could affect this so hopefully your indoor environment is pretty stable.

YESTERDAY BAD THINGH HAPPENED. I realized that the PH meter was broken and the PH res were very much lower than what I guessed!! The roots was immerged from many days in a really acid solution. So I completely changed the res and eliminated all the rotten branches (that was many). I hope my girl will survive to this bad stress. Finger crossed New Res: 11/06 EC: 1,24 PH: 5,97 12/06 EC: 1447 PH: 6,38 13/06 EC: 1335 PH: 6,16 14/06 From now on, I will give only GHE Ripen (Final Part) to her. Planning to change the res on Friday, for the last two weeks of ripening with only ripen and bio bloom, adjusting the PH whenever above 6 to give some relief to her after 13 days in an acid solution. she seems to recover now (fingers crossed) Today I added 1L with 5ml of ripen and 4 drops of Bio Bloom and PH+ to raise up until 6,4. Now the res is: EC: 1403 PH: 6,45 15/06 The girl is survived and this is the only news I would like to hear! Now the PH is stable and the acid solution should be finally gone. From now on I will dispense only RIPEN: added 1l with 4 ml of ripen. On Friday night I will add florakleen for 24 hours and then on Saturday night new res with only ripen and Bio bloom before the final flush. Today situation is: EC: 1494 PH: 6,25 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Lesson Learned: CHANGE THE SOLUTION EVERY 10 DAYS AT MOST (BETTER EVERY WEEK) BEFORE TO CHANGE THE SOLUTION LET FLASH CLEAN RUNS FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS IN THE OLD SOLUTION PAY ATTENTION WHEN THE FLOWERING STOPS AND THE RIPENING STARTS 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 16/06 Finally the PH restarts raising. Maybe this means the roots have finished to drain the previous acid res. I'm happy of that ! The EC is still raising, so I put less Ripen in the new added water. She's drinking a lot. I added 4 L of water today EC: 1655 PH: 6,26 17/06 Added 1L with only Ripen and Hydroguard Ready to change the solution the next week EC: 1684 PH: 6,17
