Day 30, a lot of small buds start to appear. Do you think i should change the growing nutes to bloom ones now ? Thanks for any advice, i'm new at all these things.

See those leaves with a claw like shape? That's nutrient overdose. I would flush the media and let the plants consume what's on their leaves for a week before starting nutes again. Also get a PPM/EC meter, that will help a lot in how much to feed without guessing, specially in a micro grow when a couple of drops can put the feeding strength from ok to too much (I do microgrowing too). And to answer your question (if you didn't have nute overdose), you would want to keep using the grow nutes until the stretch is done and start the bloom ones between the 2nd or 3d week of flower, when you notice the first signs of P-K deficiency on the lower leaves.

@Flavoursuk @@Athos @Jeff123fish @Experimentgreen @Stick Thanks a lot for your advices. I'll let her dry a bit, then only water for a week, then add low doses of grow/bloom, then fully bloom. Hope it will do ! :)

@DinafemSeeds, Thanks a lot, and thanks to all those who gave me advices! :) I've been smoking it for the past 10 days, this is really good. Love the smell of those buds, really pine and lemon. I'd definitely grow Dinafem in the future. Cheers

@AxlWeed, Yes, old bottled nutrients are never good for a plant. Glad you got new ones whuc h definitely helped and a HUGE congratulations on a successful harvest on the grow diary platform :) Enjoy your hard ended harvest my friend and I'll see you on your next Dinafem adventure :) All the best Mark..

@DinafemSeeds, overfeeding? no, i always stayed under the limitations. Too much heat? always between 25 and 29°C. The problem was definitely the 3y old organic nutrients. No more problem when i bought brand new bottles. I'm starting week 10, maybe it's time to stop feeding it now? Could you confirm? Thanks for your advices! :)

Hey there the guide I just looked up showed a feeding schedule of micronutrients, grow, and bloom all together for 1st 5 weeks of growing on 12/12. Oh also the guide was a 12 week guide, the 1st 4 being micro/grow, the 2nd 4 weeks being all 3, the last 4 weeks or so being micro/bloom. I hope that helps

@Experimentgreen, Yes, first grow ! for the moment i stopped watering it, as 2 growers told me i'd better to. Next time, i'll add a bit of Bloom :) Thanks again for the advice
Experimentgreen
Experimentgreencommented7 years ago
@AxlWeed, yes definitely, your buds will thank you for it I'm sure, especially since they're looking so good! A little bloom in there and those babies would explode! Being an auto strain though maybe start with half the recommended dose just to introduce them. :) I think everyone is so impressed by your grow! If its your first ever you should totally enter for newbie of the month in may! If it'll be harvest time that is?

@Experimentgreen, ok, thanks for the info. If i understand well, I could blend a bit of bloom nutes in my grow nutes next time.

I think I know what you are going to be doing with training the plant. This is the first time I've seen it tried with an auto. I LST and am looking forward to seeing how this plant turns out. Good luck!

Ten years ago I was growing photos under HID light in a basement and had to stop. Then 10 months ago I started with autos under LED in a bedroom closet. I can only do autos with this 2x4 space and do the perpetual grow. I want to pinpoint the highest yielding high THC Auto strain for my grow and just do the one strain. At this point Six Shooter is top contender. I'm going to see how both Dinafem and Nirvana White Widows compare. @AxlWeed,
AxlWeed
AxlWeedcommented7 years ago
@2x4grow420, That's nice. That's definitely what i'll be doing later (i have to move in early july, that's why i can't do this right now). I think autos are perfect for "perpetual grow", even if you have to buy seeds every time. Do you always use autos ? What's your favorite strain for that ? You Six Shooter definitely looks nice ! Good luck with the new one :)

awesome! I'm harvesting mine Friday and know the feeling all too well. she looks fire. good work bro. can't wait to see your harvest update.

beginnergrowercommented7 years ago
I'm assuming that's what did it. I've read nutrient stress, heat, and light leaks are the main things that can actually cause a female to flip to make male flowers. there were no male flowers or bananas on it until last week a noticed a couple bananas pop up on BS2 and plucked them but I guess it had pollen sacs in the buds that grew out. other 2 are getting chopped as soon as their pots dry up a little more. runoff ppm was under 50 on both. and my pot size is 3gal or about 11.5L. I use the app and it's a little weird and changes some of those settings sometimes without me noticing.
AxlWeed
AxlWeedcommented7 years ago
@beginnergrower, wow shit i didn't know it could happen. How could this herm if it's already flowering as a female? sounds strange! BS1 looked quite normal from what i can see, how did you notice? Anyway, if it really happened, it's probably better to harvest the 2 other babies asap! Can't wait to see how much you can get in such small pots (0.79L ?) Good luck with it mate! :D

beginnergrowercommented7 years ago
yeah I will be doing bc and bagseed 1 Friday. chopped the smaller one yesterday because she hermed on me from starting her flush too early. she threw pollen on a couple of her lower branches and I didn't want a seeded mess. knew the last 5 days would only hurt at that point. it's drying now. other 2 are doing great and I don't think we're affected by its pollen as it was only on it's own buds because they came from within the buds.

Looks like you may be watering too much. I had the same problem. My problem was with too frequent watering. Cut it back and see what happens. Looking good either way!
anahatagardens
anahatagardenscommented7 years ago
@AxlWeed, I don't know about nutrients at all as I don't use them, only water. The way I can tell they are being watered too much is they look heavy and sag a little, they don't have that "spring" to them. If you look at my diary, in like the second to sixth week the plants are droopy, heavy looking and eventually the leaves start to yellow and burn. I stopped watering for seven days until they were dry and light, now my watering schedule is about 1 quart until they are dry. Don't really stick to a timed watering schedule unless the soil is actually dried out. You want those roots to get a good breath in between each watering. Hope that helps you my friend.
AxlWeed
AxlWeedcommented7 years ago
@anahatagardens, OK, thanks for the advice ! I see what you mean: lot of small curly leaves. I've been giving it one liter every 2 days for the past 2 weeks, maybe i have to roll back to my "one liter every 3 days" schedule. Do you think it's time to switch to blooming nutrients or is it too early?
2x4grow420
2x4grow420commentedweek 117 years ago
Well done! Those buds look nice and thick like the White Widow I just harvested only on a compact plant. Hope the smoke is good!!!
AxlWeed
AxlWeedcommented7 years ago
@2x4grow420, yeah, that thing was really compact! Only 22 cm high (less than 10 inches), but so dense! I'll try to let it dry properly before trying it, but THIS IS HARD TO RESIST!
beginnergrower
beginnergrowercommentedweek 77 years ago
I think she's going in the opposite direction. nute burn recovery shouldn't take much longer than a couple days. she looks N deficient. give her a feeding and I think you will see improvement in the yellowing. good luck.
AxlWeed
AxlWeedcommented7 years ago
@beginnergrower, yeah, thanks for the advice. I just changed my nutes. They were 3 years old, and apparently that's quite bad for the plants, even more if nutes are organic. I was pretty sure they didn't OD as i never went above limits. But everyone here seemed to say it came from a nute OD. Finally it was maybe just an intoxication to old nutes.
DinafemSeeds
DinafemSeedscommentedweek 87 years ago
It may not necessarily be nutrient OD but it does look like you could be feeding to much water :) Let the pots dry out well and feed until you have 10-20% run-off :) Then allow to fully dry until you water again ;) Apart from that things look to be going well and your in for a treat come harvest time ;) The finish line is coming and coming fast ;) All the best Mark..
