Francokc For now, everything is going smoothly. I had some doubts about whether I was watering the right amount, but it seems I'm on the right track. The plants have a deep green color and look to be in good growing condition. I also had questions about the pH that was being generated in the same substrate when applying water plus ORCA. Today, I watered for the first time with about 1 liter, and when the water came out from the bottom, I measured it and it was at 6.4 :) . Satisfied.

Francokc Janita is completing her first month this coming week, my first plant 😍. I'm satisfied with the results so far; this week I even dared to do the first apical cut... let's hope for a quick recovery... I want to mention that I'm growing with the LED APOLLO 4. At first, I started with all 3 switches on, but as the days went by and I studied, I read that BLUE LIGHT is more for vegetation and has the benefit of shortening the nodes. So, I turned off all and left only the VEG switch on; I did that for about a week until I finally came across a 60-minute video from the same creator of these LED APOLLOs. In this video, he personally recommends having in GROW PHASE: VEG+FULL SPECTRUM. When starting FLOWERING, we should also turn on the BLOOM switch. So, all 3 switches on at the same time until harvest. 👽 Miss Nesbit was planted a week later because one of her sisters was decapitated by the humidifier cable, which fell on her during the first week. 😴 Mónica was growing slowly; when I took her out of the pot, her roots were small and wrinkled, maybe she had some problem... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MONICAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! The positive thing is that Miss Nesbit is growing like crazy and is the one benefiting from what I learned in the first weeks with her sisters. I even dared to put her in a plastic cup to later do my first transplant; I hope I don't break the root ball or eat it 😂 it's her third week, so the transplant is coming soon 😯.

Francokc Week without news, we're still in vegetation, it would be the fifth week for one of the plants and the fourth for the sister. Different cutting techniques, simple ties were applied, and the net for Scrog was installed. Also, a small and necessary defoliation was done on the lower part of the girls. This week should mark the start of the flowering stage for about 60 more days, but I'm trying to get Ms. Nesbit to grow a bit more, ideally to complete the net and switch to 12/12. Lastly, today the third switch of the APOLLO EVOLUTION 4 LED was turned on, being the fifth week, all 3 switches are lit for the first time at the same time. The LED "off" is infrared, it's normal for it to be in that condition, so I don't end up asking like I did on WhatsApp 😅 P.S.: I'm sharing a link to an explanatory video about the DELIGHT brand, personally, it helped me get the best out of the LED. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yA5zdjq7DRk I really don't know if it's one of the best or worst or mid-range, but for now, I'm quite happy, it generates not much heat, very little noise, and the consumption has also been low on the electricity bill. I like the design in general, and for me, it totally meets the requirements for a first grow. As for the plants and their relationship with the LED, so far it's perfect, they're in good condition, deep green, big, and healthy :)

Francokc Here comes the good part! 😂 First Vegetative Phase I'm doing since it's my first grow, super satisfied, I’ve been watching and studying a lot of videos. Nowadays, many growers do LIVE sessions on Instagram and help us with all the questions or doubts we have, go follow RAMO420TY. Excellent material, always ready to answer the messages and questions we ask live, plus being a great grower, you learn a lot of techniques and interesting facts as well. Over these 6-7 weeks, I want to share my opinion on some products and techniques I used... Orca Microraices: Excellent product, I was recommended it at delaferia viña del mar and wow. The roots that formed are incredible, so I assume I have a good root system, with the Sr Nesbit being the youngest plant, so to speak, since it was the last one I planted, the roots were escaping through the holes in the cup, they look healthy and thick. Lastly, I made the mistake of only measuring EC and pH at the beginning, which was the same for 6 weeks, thinking that the output EC and pH would be the same, but it wasn’t, as when I measured pH it was at 6.8 and EC at 4.4 😵 I mention this because the plants never showed any deficiency or problem, I believe a lot has to do with the ORCA product since having a good root ball and healthy root system is key!! BioBizz Grow, Heaven, CalMag, Bloom, PH UP; PH Down: Biobizz is my line of fertilizers, organic products, from what I read with mineral products you lose flavor and aromas, although I still have my doubts, and the truth is it catches my attention, I’ll surely try those products in the future. Of all the Biobizz products I used, the one I liked the most and noticed immediately was BioBizz Heaven, it took about 5 minutes or less after application and the plants became rigid, healthy, and reached for the light like never before! I also have TOPMAX but I can’t find good reviews in general, so I’m thinking of not using it and going for Bi Bloombastic from ATAMI, we’ll evaluate when the flowers come out. Mammoth P: Beneficial bacteria for the grow in general, I’m not clear on how to see if I really got benefits from this product, for now, I won’t comment... That would be a little summary, already in flowering!!! Cheers to everyone!

Francokc This week we enter the last month, there's less and less time left... Everything looks good, some leaves have dark copper-colored edges, maybe a possible potassium deficiency, but I'm not sure since I checked with a magnifying glass and it's more of a purple color, which makes more sense due to some low temperatures, down to 18°C. On the other hand, I do have a problem with the OUTPUT EC, which I've been trying to lower for a week now :( Janita has an output EC of 6.2, however, the plants look super... The pH is 6.0 in both plants so I'm happy with that. Conclusions are still pending since if I have a high EC, it could manifest as a nutrient deficiency, as there would be a blockage in the roots and they can't take up the nutrient, the strange thing is that everything is growing perfectly, maybe it's a slight deficiency... I'm considering whether or not to do a root wash, from what I've been reading if you control pH and EC from the beginning it's not necessary to do it since there isn't an excess of nutrients, anyway I'll do a mini wash, maybe for a week, I'll keep reading on the topic because a lot of people do it and few don't 😆

Francokc The last month of flowering begins (supposedly). To the eye, looking at the trichomes with a magnifying glass, Janita might have two weeks left, maybe less. I don't know the time it takes for the trichomes to change from clear to milky, and then to amber, but I check every 2 days or so. Right now, the vast majority are white. Mr. Nesbit is clearly the one doing the best since she was the last among her 3 sisters; unfortunately, Monica was decapitated by a falling cable (NOOOOOOOOOOO, MOOONIIIIIICAAAAAAAAAA). I'm happy with the young lady; she has a healthy green color, and also a slight blue-purple hue on her leaves. They will be two plants with different colors. The most complicated part was the EC issue since for some reason I lost control of it; from what I've researched, the meter was faulty, my cat knocked it to the ground :( . Then I bought another one and another XD, and finally, I was able to regain control of the variables like EC and pH. On the other hand, I will use 0.5 of Bloombastic, which is a mineral fertilizer; this adds PK and essential sugars for fattening and better flower and trichome development. I hope not to lose much flavor as some comment. I also read many diaries from growers who use the same technique, and apparently, from what I see in images and comments, the results are quite good in terms of fattening, and I never read anything about losing flavors. (It will be something interesting, which I will be commenting on when the harvest is ready)... Greetings to everyone and thanks for your comments!

Francokc We're still in flowering, specifically in the fattening phase of the Nugget xD.... It's ideal to have the pH at 6.5 and the EC at 1000 PPM. For the first time, we watered with a small dose of Bloombastic; I've done it twice now and I don't know if it's a coincidence, but there are a lot more aromas. On the other hand, the trichomes are still white and some are already milky.... Thanks for reading!

Francokc We are already in the last week of Janita, so I’m starting to water only with water for about 7 days maybe. I see about 10% amber trichomes or less, and once I have 30%, I will cut the plant to move on to the drying process. On the other hand, Mr. Nesbit is still producing flowers and wants to keep growing and fattening up. I’m hoping for another week or two before proceeding with the cut. The percentages of fertilizers are what I’m using with the lady...

Francokc After a few months without posting content, I'm back to finally share a couple of photos where you can see the final harvest. I'm really happy with the grow, especially with the amount I got; I think 75 G for my first grow is more than fine. Of course, there's still a lot to learn, but that's the fun part of being a grower... Each grow is a different experience, and this was my first, and we're already starting the second where we'll be harvesting a more traditional but very good strain as well! To comment basically, it was 35 to 40 days of veg and 60 to 70 days of flowering. The strain is OCEAN GROW COOKIES, from which 2 seeds were planted; one yielded 25 G and the other 50 G. The difference is mainly because the second one was a week younger, so it took advantage of all the products they recommended to me like BIO HEAVEN, ORCA, MAMMOT. The first plant also used those products but not from the start, so the second one grew stronger from day one, with an even thicker stem... I wholeheartedly recommend ORCA and BIOHEAVEN; they're excellent products. As for flavors and aromas, totally citrusy and fruity, with a bit of spiciness in the throat... Well, I hope you enjoyed the follow-up, and thank you all for reading!! Cheers and take care!!!

Hey buddy. I have the same problem with EC. 4.1 in my case. Today I did a mini flush like you and it came out at 3.7 EC. But unlike you, I did raise the EC in watering a few weeks ago and for me, it got blocked! I'm going to follow you to see your progress. And I hope it doesn't get blocked for you!

Francokc commented5y ago
@JuanHaze_Arg, Hi Juan! YES, the mini flush helped me, before my EC was higher and now it went down from 6.4 to 6.2... A friend recommended that I keep using water but with more frequency and in smaller volumes! I hope this helps you! Cheers Bro! Thanks for your comment!
