Everything germinated except for Skywalker og once again. Contacted seller, they asked me to germinate all the seeds i had left. I think they will work with me on replacements as so far 0 for 10 of the skywalker og have popped.
Pulled a few experimental clones off alien tech and king tut. Will see how they do in veg tent off to the side not under direct light on thermal mat. I will add a few more photo stains if these skywalker og doesnt take or the clones. Shall see, so far seedlings seem to like mars hydro fc 3000 18 inch 25% on thermal seed mats. Tried direct sow which worked 100% on everything but Skywalker og which got water soaks, direct sow and scuffing.
Transplanted into Lightning Warrior top layer, fox farms ocean forest middle layer, living soil bottom layer in fabric 5 gallon pots. Ro water 6.5 ph. Going to add a small heater soon as the temps are only reaching low 70s with the mars hydro fc3000 at 55% 18 inches.
Had some power issues so humidity got too low for the clones a few times so will be interesting to see if any clones root. Some rebound others are wilting.
I've pretty much been hands off this grow.
Just letting the plants do what they want.
I did a spray with insecticidal Soap which shocked some of the auto genetics. Had some leaf loss but they are bouncing back. I saw one tiny fly and wasnt worth the shock some of the susceptible plants had. Lesson learned.
I havent done much more than fimmed, topped, and lsted very lightly. Testing out fimming on autos. So far the lst only autos started flowering around day 23 to 25. The fimmed autos have stayed in veg much longer and were way more resilient. They are just starting to flower or show pistil. One of the Double Grape is showing completely different pheno than the other double grape. So much that I thought it might need 12/12 to flower. However it started showing pistils a day ago. Double grape responded very well to Fim and so did the northern lights big bud auto and purple scoops.
I had problems with a driver on a brand new fc3000 blowing up, mars hydro sent me a replacement driver. They then wanted to squabble about replacing the plastic piece that connects the driver to the light. Two weeks later they sent the part after I told them I had to buy an HLG cause I couldnt believe they wouldnt send me a plastic part.
Then the HLG I was sent was the 65 version not the 100 but they sent me the correct light right away and my plants and the clones loveeeed the HLG 100 v2. So much so that I bought the 65 version they sent by mistake and they gave me $10 bucks off for my troubles.
Even though I had to be persistent with Mars Hydro they did do me right and now both my LEDs are working. However I had a 4 by 8 of plants all stacked on one end under 150 watts for weeks trying to get this solved. I had multiple power and light issues with adding the new 4 by 8 tent that costs my plants I'm sure. I decided not to freak about it and let things go with the flow and not stress. Things will not be optimum but I learn each grow about my setup and this is my first grow in soil so learning curves.
I'm feeding very small amounts of calmag and seaweed extract in each watering which is every two to three days with ro water. I started this week three when the plants showed shock from the spray. It seemed to help them recover.
I'm using light warrior, ocean forest and living soil layered mix.
I kept 1 king tut, 3 alien tech clones which are doing good nice and rooted directly in light warrior. Transplanted week three in 3 gal pots.
Never cloned before so is a learning process.
Day 48 for Double Grape (x2), Sour Stomper (x2), Blueberry Ghost, and Northern Lights x Big Bud.
The two double grape are extremely different looking. One was topped, one wasn't. The topped version has nitrogen toxicity with dark leaves and clawing. It does seem to be pulling through with just plain phed watering. It also just started flowering a week ago or so much later than the non topped version.
The Northern lights auto has slight calcium deficiency so I upped the calmag. It also was topped and was also slow to start flowering.
The Sour Stomper are doing well and very similar plants.
Blueberry Ghost is doing ok super bushy.
Day 37 for Purple Scoops and Chocolate Diesel.
The Purple Scoops is flowering and lsted.
The Chocolate Diesel is also doing well.
The King Tut clone from 4/11 is growing but still showing some signs of wanting to flower so not sure she will reveg due to her genetics however she looks to be hungry and ready to be transplanted into 5 gallons.
I gave one of my friends one of my Alien Technology clones and the two left are from 4/4 are looking good.
I've been vwatering mainly and leaving them alone.
11 days into flower. The temps got toward 84 in the tent and the Chocolate Diesel tried to wilt.
Got her watered and sprayed and she was fine the next day. The alien tech clones are doing great and the nodes are super super short on these two plants. Just ro/calmag and recharge in fox farms so far in flower.
This strain is super easy to grow. Takes well to fox farms ocean forest, 14 weeks to hang and takes topping well. Decent smell nothing super smelly but oh my hairs all over and some frost.
