Started seeds by soaking overnight in water with a pinch of soluble kelp extract at 24C. Seeds rolled in mycorhyzae and then planted directly into Solo cups containing a starting soil that is light on nutrients. Under fluorescent lights at 24C and RH of 65%.
April 22: seedlings are too tall too fast and some are toppling over. Whoops. Skip the kelp extract during the seed soak. Raised soil level in attempt to salvage.
Update: have since determined that the well water here is not good for starting seeds. Much better luck using distilled water.
@Northern_Ent,I love to smoke the herb that I grow😛,
but it's the growing part that is highly addictive😵 as I've come to find out.
Just can't wait to put some more beans in the soil😏, espescially with Autos
It's always another EXPERIMENT😜.
Grow BIG!!!
@pecorino, I usually top my autos as this helps to prolong the veg phase. Mine usually veg for 6-7 weeks and this is mostly due to the cool nights that slow their metabolism.
@Northern_Ent,for me dutch passion and some strain from royalqueen yielded good, like autohulkberry and autoultimate, the problem for fastbud in my experience was that the vegetative stage was too short for outdoor
@pecorino, I pretty much have to grow autos this far north and I’ve had good success with strains from FB, Auto Seeds, original Sensible, and Crop King.
The most promising this year are the Early Version photoperiods from Delicious seeds.
Anyway, the point is not all autos are tough enough for outdoor but most of them are.
Supposed to be 35c today plus humidity, pushing 40, YUCK!!!
good thing for central air, I keep my house at 72f(20c)approx.
the tents in the basement never exceed 24c👍, so I'm thinking
the Lambs Breath will stay inside for awhile longer, until this heat dissapates
a little, hope all is well and stay cool😎..
Later!!
