This has been another rough week with the humidity for sure. Had my larger fan go out bout mid week with the girls, which wasn't too terribly bad, but didn't quite help. I got the situation resolved yesterday just by getting a box fan and placing it in the grow room. Other than that the plants are doing great! I took some time to reapply low stress training to the branches, trying to even out the canopy. Before I was at about 11" and 9" at the tops of the main colas, now sitting at about 8" even with the canopy in general. I did only water with 3/4s of a gallon this week, and no nutes. I think I'm still getting use to reading my plants and seeing how much they drink, and trying not to let them dry out too much, but still a day or so behind (maybe more) on that, but I can't be too terribly mad with how they look like they're turning out. The plants have been forming pistols for the past couple weeks and I think this will be the last week of preflower before they are in full swing in the flower cycle. The smell is starting to get more noticeable, but isn't too pungent or strong, but I attached my filter on my inline for the first time today.
All in all I think I'm doing OK, for sure. The girls look healthy and there doesn't seem to be an abundance of issues appearing. There are some things that I have noticed or slipped on throughout the grow so far, but it's mostly small stuff like making sure to pH or other tricks to help keep the humidity low when I absolutely need it. I think there probably has been some stunting, but again not too pressed about it. I currently have a tea being brewed with 1.5tsp of grow and bloom, 2 cups of worm castings and I'll be adding some recharge (I was thinking one tsp per gal) towards the end of the brew. I'll make sure to note if I saw any differences!
@80s_Oni, I know what you mean...I got mine for the purpose of monitoring my soil PH and you are exactly right it would never read lower than 7...I will say that I gave them to my brother for use in his outdoor gardening and they seems to do fairly better...but yeah when I make my teas I try to keep it between 6.5 and 6.8 but recently I have only been using teas just before switching to flower...I am currently working on not a living soil but assembling a living ecosystem for my girls...it is so much that can be learned and applied just from one plant that I believe if you can truly master this art then you will also truly master self...Enjoy the Experience and Grow Strong!
@@Trumptight420, at first I was using it mainly for watering purposes, because it seemed the pH reader wouldn't go any further down than like 7.5, even when I was dropping my water to 5.9 or so. Now as I'm learning more on how the girls drink normally, I don't use it. But I'm in the same boat. I'll get there eventually, but just feeling out the grow and I'll dial it in with each grow. I normally try to stay between 6.2 and 6.5 with my water and teas.
