Man, this past week has been nerve racking. After the planting on Tuesday (day 3), I am now at day 8 and I am so happy with them just sprouting lol. My test plant that has the Dynomyco in the soil mixed, sprouted first on day 5 with her sister, the control plant, coming up strong by day 7. I did give each of them roughly a shot glass of the evian spring water when I planted them in the dirt, and on days 4 and 5. let them sit till today which I should probably water after I get done writing this. I'm still uncertain on how much to water them, but looking at others grows and advice, I'm gonna try and use the knuckle method and just by look. Although I do have a moisture, light, and ph reader that I could, try to use? I'll give it a run.
(Edit: Used my soil meter a little closer to the plants. After about 25 minutes, it said the soil was dry, so I watered each plant about 250ml at a ph of 6.5.
At day 10 the medium seemed pretty dry, so I watered with another 250ml. I had some heat and humidity spikes, but now I'm at about 77f and 45rh. Not optimal, but reasonable from what I understand. I have noticed on my test plant that she has some yellow highlighting the veins of the leaves. I'm slightly concerned, but think if I let her drink what water she has before watering again, she'll be fine.
Today at day 12, I switched the positions of the flowers. Now the control is closer to the opening of the grow and the test is towards the back. I have been running my fans constantly and have a 3rd larger fan blowing air in from outside to try and help the temp and humidity spikes.)
I will start ph'ing and dechlorinating my water from here on out. Gonna try to have roughly between 6.2-6.8 for my ph here. Light schedule is still the same, temps are reasonable after I switched on my smaller fans, I don't think I need to use my inline just yet. I will wait to start feeding and training later.
@80s_Oni, I know what you mean...I got mine for the purpose of monitoring my soil PH and you are exactly right it would never read lower than 7...I will say that I gave them to my brother for use in his outdoor gardening and they seems to do fairly better...but yeah when I make my teas I try to keep it between 6.5 and 6.8 but recently I have only been using teas just before switching to flower...I am currently working on not a living soil but assembling a living ecosystem for my girls...it is so much that can be learned and applied just from one plant that I believe if you can truly master this art then you will also truly master self...Enjoy the Experience and Grow Strong!
@@Trumptight420, at first I was using it mainly for watering purposes, because it seemed the pH reader wouldn't go any further down than like 7.5, even when I was dropping my water to 5.9 or so. Now as I'm learning more on how the girls drink normally, I don't use it. But I'm in the same boat. I'll get there eventually, but just feeling out the grow and I'll dial it in with each grow. I normally try to stay between 6.2 and 6.5 with my water and teas.
