I think Chuck should refrain from giving "advice", what he wrote is some of the most ridiculous stuff I have ever read regarding cannabis.
Cannabis does not have eyes, can not make decisions based on what is going on around it; due to not having a brain, is not devious towards the cultivator to prevent being pulled out and what the wind has to do with anything, I just don't know.
Also, I can assure you, cannabis prefers warm and mild over cold and rainy.
Defoliating your plants will just reduce their vigour, resulting in slower growing and smaller plants due to the lack of energy production caused by losing the leaves.
Your picture is not the best for determining the sex, but it does seem to be growing balls in the tip, a sure sign of maleness.
You need to look at the junction of the stem with a branch/leaf area, this is where primordia/pre-flowers appear first.
If you are keen, have a look at my diary "cannabis conundrums" and in week 7 you will find pictures of male and female primordia as well as pictures of hermaphrodite flowers. These may help you to identify what is happening with your bag seed. There are also many other interesting pictures of weird things cannabis plants are capable of.
Growing bag seed presents a few problems - unknown genetics, are usually the result of hermaphrodite plants, can be either male or female, but are most likely to be hermaphrodites themselves, as they carry dominant genetics for being so. Using any pollen from a hermaphrodite will just breed a line of hermaphrodites, you will not get feminised seeds, making bag seeds a very risky and poor choice if you are limited in the amount of plants that you can grow. Far, far better to buy feminised seeds from reputable breeders with known genetics. Or regular males if you are interested in breeding.
Hope this helps,............
