Got the seeds in a glass of water for 14 hours then put them in the paper towel once the root got about 1/2 an inch I placed it in the pots containing ocean forest with some worm castings and some peat moss to make it not so hot. This is my first time and I'm hoping that the soil is not gonna burn my plants. I have them under my light dimmed as low as it can go. They are in the 1ft by 3ft grow space. I still need to get a flower light for the 3ft by 3ft grow space.
The plants are looking good nothing much happening on the top part I'm aiming that the roots are what's really growing right now. I added some recharge to the pants to help with root growth. The red zkittles started out kinda week but it bounced back and is growing fine. I dont have a small turning fan to put in the small section so I put a 3in fan up top pointing at the wall and I gives the plants air circulation my only fear is that it is causing the plants to be cold at night. I am ordering a thermostat that keeps track of the temp for last 12 hours.
Last week ran a little short so this week is gonna run long.
Day 6 I added a mixture of 33 perlite, 33 peatmoss , 33 worm castings and watered with recharge from sprayer to help the root growth.
Day 9 I've been watering with recharge the water and recharge are sitting in a sprayer and I watter slightly.
Day 10 I gave a heavy water with some recharge to boost root growth. However when I watered I did not spray near the plant I sprayed around the out side edge of the pot to promote root growth outwards. I fear that I may have over watered only time will tell. I feel like my plant is not growing as fast as others I seen on here.
Day 11 the blue one is dark green with a purple stem I googled it and it could be overwater or to many nutrients using ocean forest so it could be either one. I'm not gonna water today to make sure. Did not take pictures
Day 12 the plants look healthy it's still dark green but I am scared about not watering. Hopefully I didnt mess up. Let me know how long y'all go without watering.
Day 13 I gave some recharge and water I didnt give it enough to wet but maybe the first inch of soil or so. The red one is short but wide where as the red on is tall and not as wide. The third set of leaves are starting to grow. It gets hot and I'm hoping that the rutaralls gene helps with temp swings. Next grow I'm gonna transplant instead of going into the final spot at first.
Day 14 looking good the top soil is dry but I waterd a little much last time. Thinking about doing some LST soon any thoughts
I don't know what it was that caused my plants to do this I just watered my plants with ph water and it seems like the plants are doing fine it could either be not enough water or to many nutrients. I am using ocean forest and that might be the cause.
This also looks alot like chronic underwatering. I'm curious if they have had a good drink near the base of stem? I looked through your diary and your pictures look very dry.. Also you really don't need alot of recharge.
@jpeero is 100% correct. Upon further review, it does look like an N deficiency. Thay said, it could be an N deficiency either way; too much or too little in your medium. I'll defer on which to smarter growers, lol.
Day 16 watered first time in two day I wasn't feeling well and didnt feel like doing anything. Rz has a lead that is turning yellow besides that all good. Gonna start listing soon.
Day 17 I did some lst red didnt want to bend the stock was thicker than I thought it would be. I did get the blue to bend over. Both plants are down to the side to allow side branching to go up
Day 19 the plants are coming along nicely. I gave about 1 gal of water to each plant to allow water to go down to the bottom and I'm gonna let the pot dry out to allow for root expansion.
Day 21 didnt take pics but haven't been in the grow tent much. today the plants looked good did some more tucking of leaves. Still have not watered. There has not been any more yellowing but the pots still feel heavy and I doug a small hole near the edgeand still heavily watered about an inch down.
Day 22. Both plants are looking good I turned the blue plant so the growth can fill in the rest of the pot. Did some more tucking of the leaves. After messing with plants I can smell It on my hands.
Day 24 I've been trying to stay out of the grow tent but when I went in to put my new light up (put it on 50% power) and move my plants over i thought I seen some bugs so I put some diatomaceous earth out to kill anything that may be in the dirt. Also did some lst.
Day 26 I'm thinking about doing some defoliation I just dont know with autos. Forgot to take pictures of bz sorry. ( I did selective defoliation to help bud sites with lights)
Day 27. Tomorrow is end of week 4 and should be flipping to flower soon. I'm gonna give some nutrients (none with nitrogen. I believe I have a nitrogen toxicity my leavs are really dark and are curling down. I havent waterd for awhile to allow the pot to dry so I know it's not to much water.) I added morebloom which has an NPR of 0-10-10. With some Epsome salt for magnesium. Dont have anything that adds calcium so I did what I could do. I stopped the plant even tho people say not to with autos. I did top to promote growth to the lower parts of the plant.
Day 29 it looks like the girls are in fact girls. Kinda glad a fed the other day but it sucks I topped right before they went into flower. Next time I buy seeds I'm gonna get photos so I can flip them when I want to.
Day 30 they look good didnt do anything trying to let them get a little taller. I don't like having a short plant when I look at everyone else they have taller plants and mine is just short.
Day 31 I did some lsting and defoliation the girls look nice I want as many tops as I can have. The pots are almost dry they are still a little heavy for me to add water.
End of week day 35 sorry no pictures been busy and haven't been in garden much in the past few days.
Day 42 it's been a few day I have been doing very little just some lst and watering. The flowers are starting to get frosty and the hairs are turning amber.
