🗓️Week 8🗓️
📑 Notes:
🌱She's getting a bit too tall already, finding it difficult to place her comfortably in the tent with the others. if she wasn't showing symptoms of sickness again I'd consider flipping to flower.
⛔Also restricted by space as I do not have a dedicated photoperiod flower tent as the rest of the garden is stocked with autoflowers. Fair to say I did not think this through when I planted her first!
Day 54 [📆 Tues June 15]
Starting to show signs of deficiency again, I have been slack with the Fertigation consistency so it's likely a byproduct of skewed pH and high EC.
💧5L Flushed @ 0.8EC + 5.9→6.0 pH
🌊 run-off noted @ 0.8EC +/- 0
EC in and out were perfectly aligned immediately following the 5L Fertigation at half strength.
🗒️⚡EC spikes due to inconsistent fertigation frequency are typically more stubborn rectify - the swift alignment of the run-off and input EC (Both @ 0.8 after 5L) has forced me to reconsider the root cause of my plants cries for help.
📍🖊️ I have been slack with the care of my pH pen, often leaving it sitting for hours in freshly prepared plant food, floating away from the potential of hydrogen. To add insult, I have a resistance to calibrating the pen, and will do only when it feels pressing.
🚫🖊️Lack of calibration awareness was likely the cause of the first deficiency cascade, the pen was in dire need of a calibrate during the nutrient issues and I did not even think to think of it. When calibrating the pen, it was clear some of the previous pH🔻/🔺 adjustments would have contributed to a lockout in the rhizome.
D54 📆Wed June 16📆
Have been inconsistently trying to get her into darkness for at least 4 hours a night as I think the constant 24/0 cycle is increasing human error in line with a fussier hungrier plant. The multiple lockouts I have experienced so far are not solely the cause of the round the clock lighting however the snowball this creates:
1/drying out the media and;
2/ increasing nutrient needs for the plant
has outweighed any perceivable benefit for keeping this photoperiod in a 24/0 veg cycle.
Will reduce the wet dry cycle and increase Fertigation frequency to stabilize.
Full strength CaliMagic foliar spray.
D55
💧Fertigation @ 0.9EC
→ 1L @ AM
→ 1L@ MIDDAY
💧1.2 EC
→1L @ 12AM (after her 4-6 hours of alone time in the darkness)
D56 (📆Thursday 17 June 📆)
⛲Will commence with pre flush strength nutrients again in an attempt to get her leaves looking vivacious asap.
💧 Fertigation: 1.4 EC | 6.0 pH @ 9AM
2l?
